Brandy - although i love them both, i'm finding myself leaning more towards the Vanessa because of the lighter flowy fabric. it just looks soo comfy too!!! either way though, you've got to amazing dresses there! Maggie is the best!

We are still undecided about the registry thing. We obviously don't expect gifts from those who are coming south with us but I do think my mom or MIL are thinking about the shower thing and the AHR. Our big problem is that we don't really know what to register for?! can I register for a new tv and dishwasher?? lol I've had my own home for 4 years now, FI moved in this past summer, and we don't really need a lot of stuff. So we're really not sure.... is there such a thing as a registry for gift cards only?

this is my "Brittanya" i bought her back in august and am actually going to visit my grandma in 2 weeks to have it altered. it's WAY too long!!! (i'm a shorty)

that sucks Greysgirl!! thankfully you can easily change your plans. I've never been to the Caymans (or anywhere at that lol) but hear it's amazing!! Ismith - thankfully i'm a pretty laid back person, esp. through this wedding planning process. FI and our parents are the only people who I desperately wanted to come and they have all booked. Even my 75 year old grandma and 72 y/o great aunt (her sister) have booked!! HUGE BONUS! If siblings decide to book later on then I'll just take that as an extra little plus! It won't be the end of the world if they don't come.. they'll just be the ones missing out on the week-long partay!

i'm at the point now though where i don't even care now.... if he doesn't come, his loss. we have a great group going regardless. but yeah it still peeves me a bit... esp considering how much i had to spend on my bridesmaid dress/shoes/gifts/hotel for his wedding downtown Toronto this past summer. but i don't know.. part of me feels it's not worth the fight and stress

as for the bridesmaid thing.. i feel for all you girls! i couldn't even imagine having to deal with that kind of stress! FI and I chose a DW to avoid stresses like that so are actually not having any bridal party. Our good friend and his gf (who will probably become his fiance on our trip) will act as our witnesses.

oh Brandy I feel your pain! if it's venting Friday......... when FI and I decided on a destination wedding, I kind of accepted the fact right off the bat that my brother's would not be coming. One just got married this past summer, and the other is getting married Jan 2012 - so finances are tight for them. well my mom just told me that the one who just got married is now going to a friends destination wedding in mexico this december and still isn't sure if he's coming to mine... my mom actually is the one who is most pissed off about the fact that he put his $ towards going to a friends' wedding vs his sister (he knew about mine way before) .. *sigh...*

thanks Brandy! funny thing about the water -- that's Lake Ontario and it's usually not very blue near us... we lucked out big time with literally a picture perfect day! and those chairs were just sitting there on the beach so we took full advantage and used them up! i think it would be cute to re-create the pic of us on the chairs in jamaica on our wedding day.

FI and I had an incredible engagement shoot 3 weeks ago with one of his friends! We had a perfect day and spent close to 3 hours venturing around our small town snapping shots and smooching up a storm. She's actually had the cd of photos all ready for us for 2 weeks now and only yesterday were we finally able to hook up and get it from her. Let's just say, the wait was most definitely worth it and I'm so excited to share!
