I feel the same way!!! sometimes i wonder if i made a mistake buying a dress my first time out... because i keep seeing everyones pictures on here seeing dresses that i think i might like better. and then i look at the pic of me in mine the day I bought it and realize i did make the right choice. speaking of.. i get to play in my dress this weekend when i go to get it altered! we're leaving friday night after work to make the 4 hr trek to eastern ontario dress in tow to see my grandma.

on a happier note, i have a general question... do you guys think the resort would be ok with me bringing turquoise flower petals to spread down the aisle for the ceremony? or would it cause too much of a mess/issues about cleaning up? lol hmmm maybe i'll email the WC and ask.. (thinking while typing here)

i'm getting married at the riu negril and the WC emailed me the link to the company who they get their flowers from and there's a choice between 3 or 4 different bouquets. i'm not a fan, so i've opted to make my own bouquet at home with silk flowers in the colours i want.

hey did you guys hear on the news this morning about the explosion in the lobby at i believe the Playa Del Carmen in Mexico? 5 Canadians were killed 1 being a bride who just got married!!! SOOO SAD. I hope it's not someone from BDW!

So if it drops we get money back (since we've already paid)!!! *fingers crossed*

just found out my other great aunt has booked to come south! I didn't even know she was thinking of coming! Now my grandma and her 2 sisters are coming down together all in their 70s! wow!

Love all the hair flowers ladies! I'm definitely going to be wearing one and think i'm going to try my hand at making my own. I check Michaels every time I'm there for 'the' flower.

thankfully the corset top of my dress (my dress is 2 pieces) hold the girls in so no bra is required! I'm also not going to be wearing the panel on the back either so my back will be open and cool. As for the bottoms, just a cute pair of boy shorts

Brandy - and you might as well be comfy on your wedding day right??? I liked mine so much because the corset top held everything in for me so i won't be standing there sucking in my tummy all day! lol i'm worried about mine on the plane though.. it's not heavy but it's so pouffy!! here's hoping some of that bulk will be gone after I get it shortened

Lisa - that's awesome about the laser surgery!!!!! My FI had it done 4 years ago and is thankful every day that he did it.

after reading everyones insights (thanks girls) i'm still on the fence about the registry thing lol i mean there are things i do want like the ever famous kitchen aid mix master, a new blender and food processor... but we simply don't want things like fine china and such. I never thought of new linens and such so maybe we will just bit the bullet and go register somewhere in the new year with hopes that we'll maybe get more gift cards instead of actual gifts.I don't want to sound bratty or anything but I just don't really want people to buy us stuff like china bowls or something... it's stuff like that which we'll just never use. oh the joys that come along with getting married!! lol ps. today is 5 months until my wedding day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
