FYI - got an email from Vista Print today --- "FREE! FREE! FREE!" lots of stuff on for free right now ladies!!!! I'm having some small magnets made (25 for free) with one of our engagement pics and a "thank you for booking your trip" note!

No flower girl - or any bridal party for that matter. I already have an idea of what I want to make dress-wise with the leftover fabric though so it definitely won't go to waste

hehehe i found a pic of the back of my dress on someone else.. someone who obviously did not get it altered!! look at how much fabric is on this thing!!!!! i'm getting basically the whole train taken off..... so it maybe drags only a ft or so behind me so there will be a LOT of extra fabric

Oops! hit submit by mistake before finishing lol supposed to say... my grandma chickened out about altering my dress because she didn't want to ruin it! hehe.. anyway a friend of one of her friends is a dressmaker, so my dress went there to by altered and my grandma is paying for the alterations to be done.

Well my grandma chickened now at the dressmaker's house 4 hrs away lol... she got it all pinned up this weekend and is going to start the alteration at the beg. of January for me to pick up end of Jan/early Feb. HOLY COW there's going to be a LOT of fabric coming off of this thing! so much that i'm going to ask to keep it because i might be able to make a little dress for the rehersal dinner/our AHR!! i'm anxious to try the dress on again once it's shortened. sad that i had to leave it so far away though!

yeah we'll be cutting at least that much off!!!! my heels are fairly tall though (3" i think?) so maybe it won't be so bad.... but that's what happens when i buy a sample dress that is really too big one me too! i could have easily fit in 1 size smaller. thankfully it is 2 pieces though and for the top, being a corset, we just tie it tight and it fits while holding the girls in nicely

thankfully he's not a snoop and he's the one who really doesn't want to see the dress before the big day. but now he's at least going to see how pouffy it is in the garment bag this weekend. The skirt takes up so much space!!!! (although that's what we'll be taking off this weekend) I think the train is like 6 ft and i'm going to have it removes to there's just a little train. i'm too small/short to have a huge dress following me lol

i was so excited to pick it up yesterday!!! (it's been at my parents' house) FI came in the house and i was like "You stay OUT of your video game closet tonight!!!" lol it was the only closet that my dress would fit in!!

thanks for the thoughts ladies!! FI and I are heading on a road trip for the weekend to my hometown to visit my grandma and get my dress altered (exciting!) so we're hoping the quiet will just allow my kitty to feel better. The vet and i are stumped as to what's wrong so we're hoping he just bounces back.

that's the kicker!!! spending all the $ only to find nothing. However i have to look at like like the $ was worth it because it proved that it wasn't what i thought. if it was what i thought (crystals in his bladder again), i was going to have him put down. so i'm glad i still have my kitty

actually still not sure what's wrong with kitty. physically - via xray and blood test - he's normal. but he won't eat and keeps throwing up... been going on all week. yet he acts normal! he's got everyone stumped. at least it's not as bad as last yr. ... instead of writing it all out if interested you can read up on my blog http://tidbitsfrommymind.wordpress.com

hi ladies!!! i've been a bit mia the past few days... emerg. with my cat. that guy is going to be the death of me! lol so stressed! why does everything involving $ always happen at the same time!? we just paid for the trip... my vet bill this week was $250.... my car is in today for oil change/winter tires on/other check up and that's going to run me $280... GAH! i need to win the lottery! lol on another note.. horegan - Welcome!!!!! Brandy - so exciting about your first RSVP. aprt of me wishes we did actual invites now, but it just wasn't in the budget.

I don't think there's really such a thing as a 'set time' ..... my wedding is also in April and my FI and I are waiting to see if there are any holiday or post-holiday sales on the rings we want -
they look amazing!!! i'm looking forward to making my own in the new year

i think i can get mine refurbished too any time i want but i hate not having it!!! my stone was loose only 3 weeks after we got engaged and although it was free, they had to send my ring away for a week!! i was so sad lol this band is reg. price $399 - which is still pretty good, but with our budget, we're really hoping it comes on sale

i've like 95% decided on this one. i was just going to get that band with no diamonds... but don't want it to look all scratched up!! like the underside of my engagement ring is so scratched already. I think we're just going to keep our eyes open in hopes of a sale during holiday time or the new year

you just need to trust your gut ... FI picked out my engagement ring and it was perfect! but omg i keep changing my mind about my wedding band! one day i want stones... the next i don't lol ... i'm currently on the "i want the one with stones" boat right now lol
