As of now, I'm planning on carrying it on in the garment bag that came with the dress. Due to the volume of the skirt with the pickups and such, it can't really squeeze it into a small bag. I do however plan on calling my airline a month or so ahead of time to see if i'll be able to arrange to hang it somewhere on the plane if I carry it on.

Yeah, I'm thinking you might have an easier time in the new year when the spring/summer stuff gets into stores. At least I'm hoping spring/summer stuff gets into stores before we head south! I still need some strapless bathing suits and at least one more strapless top for my first 3 days.

Ella - where did you get the orange gerberas? I placed my order with afloral. I went with the green orchids because of the amazing reviews on the site, but there were no reviews on the other flowers so i'm really hoping they look just as good in person. As for groomsmen attire, unfortunately I'm of no help. We're not having bridesmaids or groomsmen, so we only had to worry about my dress and FI's attire. And he just went with a light beige linen suit, with a white shirt and turquoise tie - got it all from H&M last summer. We lucked out finding everything there when we weren't looking! Because if we hadn't found it, I don't even know where we'd look.

thanks Teira!!! I'm so anxious for these flowers to come! They're shipping via FedEx from the US, so my fingers are crossed that they show up at my office this week! If they work out I'll be so happy! With the hefty shipping charge, they cost $62.... BUT that's still much cheaper than the $150 that people are charging for already made real-touch bouquets!

good morning ladies! big news!!! well I expressed to my mom last week how upset I was about my brothers going on other trips, but not coming to my wedding..... well saturday, my mom calls .. "Your brothers are coming to the wedding." me: "Huh? how?" mom: "Don't ask how. But they're coming from Friday-Monday" (we're going to be there wed-wed) ... So there we have it! My 2 brothers, SIL. and SIL-to-be are now going to be at my wedding. Makes me feel better! Also makes me kind of hope no one else books so our group stays small!!! lol we're now at 24 guests for the big day! Totally didn't see that one coming! on another note, my mom came over yesterday afternoon to go over flowers with me and we finally placed an order! We decided it was best to buy sooner than later just incase I don't like how they look. I've been going back and forth with colour choices and finally decided on my original plan Here's what we bought: 12 of these (5 for my bouquet and the rest for other decorations) 4 of these (3 for the bouquet and the other to make FI's bout) And 1 of these I'm really excited to see them and see how they work together in person!!! Ella - LOVE the chapsticks!! they look great!

all depends on the kind of reception you want to have and well basically, what you want to do! i for one am going to have a TON of fabric leftover from my wedding dress after the alterations are done and am planning on using that fabric to make my own AHR dress. we're having a very low key BBQ type reception so it will be perfect

I'm doing the free wedding at the Riu Negril but wanted and asked to have my dinner at Shadows! so unfortunately i'm not big help in that department. I'd suggest maybe sending the WC an email? on saturday even my grandma (who is coming to the wedding) confronted my brother LOL she's like "you're going to the Caymens but not your little sister's wedding??!" she was mad haha

Ella - what is it with brothers?!?!? geeze! I think I already told you all how neither of my brothers have even made an effort to come to my wedding.... which under circumstances I understood. One brother just got married this past summer downtown Toronto - so a LOT of $$$$. and the other is getting married Jan 2012. Well..... I'm pretty sure I already mentioned that the one who just got married is now going to a friends - get this FRIENDS - wedding in Mexico next month... but still no word about coming to mine................ and now this past weekend, I find out that my other brother and his fiance are going to the Caymen's in Jan!!!!!! -- but NOT coming to my wedding!! grrr..... I understand his fiancee's parents own a place down there so he only has to pay for his flight and food and such... but damn... what a slap in the face.

this time of year is the worst --- i leave for work before the sun is up... and i come home when the sun is gone. boo!

i need to start cracking down on my workouts more... i've been so lazy so far this fall - basically since the time changed. it's pitch black out when i leave work and have no energy to do anything... that needs to change!!!! i started the 100 pushups challenge a few weeks ago, but didn' t go far past week 1 - oops! Must start again.

that's amazing Teira!!!! congrats! i think it's totally possible to loose 40 more in 4 months! we can all do anything we put our minds to.
