so i'm getting a $12 credit on my flower order for the late shipping (half off the shipping charge).

afloral finally shipped my flowers last night - over 1 week after i ordered them (definitely not happy about that) ... est. arrival is thursday *fingers crossed*

so I called AFloral at 1pm when I got back from lunch to try and find where my flowers are... the girl seemed as puzzled as me in regards to why I haven't even seen a shipping confirmation email from them. She was supposed to look into it for me and email me back. And now I wait again..... I'm so impatient! lol I just want my flowers.

Ella - we're still trying to figure out the at home reception details... ideally, I would love to have just a wine and cheese sort of thing in C's parents' backyard. Their yard is perfect, but last time we mentioned it to his mom she wasn't keen on the idea.... then they said we could probably get the local Polish hall for free, but I do NOT want a reception in a hall. I think people would expect more of a meal and a dance at a hall and that's not what I want. I really wish our back yard was big enough to accomodate the amount of people C (and his parents) want to invite, but unfortunately it's too small. So... needless to say, we have no idea. A part of me would be completely fine without anything at all! But there are certain family members who can't come south who would be heart broken if we didn't have anything at home too.... I figure I'll worry about all of that sometime in the new year.

hmmm ok. maybe i'll give them a call this afternoon. their website says to expect delivery within 7 business days which is tomorrow. Still odd that i haven't recieved a shipment confirmation. I did check my junk mail and there's nothing.

I got my order confirmation right away... I just haven't seen any sort of shipment confirmation yet? In the shipping area of the website it says a Fedex tracking # will be emailed once the material is shipped. ?? Did you ever get a tracking number? Or did your flowers just show up? Also how long did they take?

i ordered them sunday and still haven't recieved my shipping confirmation email with the fedex number! odd..... hoping they show up next week! oooo that's great Teira!!! Doesn't it feel great to get to check things like that off the list!

still no sign of my afloral.com order. i'm getting impatient! lol

who knows.... at least i know they're for sure coming esp since my mom told me they're getting plane tickets in their stockings LOL

I've always known that I was going to change my name. It actually excites me! Besides, people already have trouble trying to pronounce and spell my french Canadian name, so why not change it to a hard to spell and pronounce Polish one!

people can be like that - frustrating, i know. i still haven't even heard from my brother's themselves that they're coming to my wedding lol i only know because my mom told me in secret!

It's funny how when it happened to me, I thought it was the end of the world! I laugh at it now when i see where I am. Desipte how painful it was at the time, it taught me a LOT about life and MYSELF and wouldn't change a thing. It's nice being 100% myself with FI and having him love me exactly for that.

forgot to add, that when my friends went, they took a dorky video walking around the whole resort which they sent to me -- allowing me to have a 'site visit' without really going i was definitely happy about our decision after seeing that.

I chose the Riu Negril for mine Reasons - my aunt and uncle went in May and absolutely LOVED the resort, I have friends who have been and loved it as well.... and my FMIL actually just came across some of her friends who had just been and had a blast as well. My FI and I are also on a tight budget (hence the DW in the first place) and the Riu Negril is cheaper than the RPTB. My Aunt who had been (and who is also our TA) explained the two to us like this: Riu Negril is a gorgeous 5 star resort with amazing service and amazing food. While the RPTB is a 5.5 star resort with mainly esthetid differences like built in chairs in the pool. To some the 5.5 star might be more appealing, but to FI and I who have never travelled in our lives, the Riu Negril sounded perfect to us I also really liked the fact that it doesn't seem to be one of the most popular/busy ones among brides on here (like ROR). I'm hoping for my trip and wedding to be as relaxing as possible. We are doing the Free Package and couldn't be more excited! ... the WC has also been really great so far always getting back to me within 2 days of emailing her a question. Wishing your sister the best of luck in making her decision

don't even get me started on cheating guys... they're the scums of the earth in my mind. i was actually engaged before (in 2006) ... we had been together almost 3 years, had just bought a house together and 2 months before the closing date on our house, i had found out that he had been cheating (because he got the girl pregant)... which then led me to find out he had been cheating basically our entire relationship! i was definitely beside myself when I found out about that. i moved into the house alone and after about 10 months on my own getting my life back i ventured on to plenty of fish.com.... LOL and that is where I found my current FI! ... oddly enough, my FI was also cheated on in his past relationship. we had to work through our trust issues together and I believe that is why we're as stron as we are as a couple now.

I would like the snow much better if I didn't have to deal with driving in it. My driving is ok with my snow tires on the car, but it's amazing how so many people just don't know how to drive in snow and make it dangerous for everyone else. I think after a study last year or the year before it was deemed that the stretch of highway I take to work is one of the worst in the country for accidents! CHristmas just isn't Christmas without snow though. We actually didn't have any last year - first time in my life - and it didn't feel like Christmas at all. p.s. 10ft snowbanks aren't so fun when you're only 5'3 and have to heave new snow up on top lol

you're not alone Ella! I started to get the nervous feeling when i went to take my dress to be fitted. I can already forsee myself being a bundle of nerve/excitement come march!
