tris - i also consider myself to be a girlie tomboy .. growing up i'd always get along better with the boys (i think because i have 2 older brothers and always played with them) .. FI and I have a very small group of friends who we hang out with from time to time but the majority are guys.

i'm going from a simple french name starting with a C and ending with an N .. so easy and pretty to write (although hard to pronounce properly)........... to a complicated polish name (also hard to pronounce) starting with an N and ending with a K!! lol that darn K!

why do 'k's have to be so difficult?

ooo i meant to tell you all this morning i got the sweetest thing in the mail yesterday that made me so excited and probably blush like crazy! FI gave me a subscription to Women's Health for xmas. He get's Men's Health and I've been wanting Women's for a while now so I was pumped when I got the email at xmas saying he got it for me. Well yesterday i got a card in the mail from Women's Health again explaining that he bought me the subscription and that I'll be seeing my first issue shortly. WELL..... the card was addressed to me with what will be my married name!!! (he was thinking ahead).. I absolutely LOVED actually seeing it in print! ..now I need to start practicing what will be my new signature!

uninterested is definitely the key word here. don't get me wrong, my parents are great - my mom asks almost every other day if there's anything she can do to help! (she's going to be in charge of printing and ironing on the logos to the OOT bags and koozies) my brothers though... no interest from them what-so-ever! ... my parents had to help pay for them to just get them to come! my one brother and his wife are even only flying in the morning of my wedding day and leaving the next! .... as for FI's parents.. they're great in that after some convincing finally seem to support the fact that we are getting married on a beach in jamaica, not at their church followed by a reception in the local polish hall. But it's weird, we see them all the time and now only 3 months out we never talk about the wedding. i guess what i'm trying to say is thank goodness for you ladies!!! i'd be going crazy without you! with the risk of sounding pretty lame, i don't exactly have any girlfriends to share this excitment with! (one of the reasons we're not having abridal party). after university, i grew up while my friends didn't. 5 years later, they're all still single .. still doing the school/partying thing... i got a few little congrats on facebook when i got engaged and that's it. so needless to say, i doubt i'm getting any sort of shower, or bachelorette or anything. I've come to term with those facts, but part of me still thinks it sucks you know? on to happier things! you gals rock!

i also love my maggie it's a 2 piece - a skirt with a corset top and i find it super comfortable!

I think if you're going to forgo a tie, untucked will look great!

Lisa it was me that mentioned Rome! I got my Bachelor's Degree in Clasical Studies which is essentially Ancient Greek and Roman History. It's a personal goal of mine to head over there one day to see in person everything that I studied during my 4 years of university

We already got the shoes! we got his suit, shirt and sandals at H&M last summer all for only $100! and got his tie from Le Chateau. H&M had the white belt he wanted last summer but it was way too big so he's hoping they get it back in store once the spring line starts coming in.

My FI is wearing a beige linen suit with a white blouse, white belt (providing we find one), turquoise tie and brown flip flops with a turquoise sole on them. I don't think a tie is 100% neccessary, my FI just felt like getting one and the splash of turquoise on him looks awesome.

haha nope! no paper slicer!! the one from my work is awful and never accurate! so i just used my trusty exacto knife. it's ok though, I just cut away while watching tv

I was working like a mad woman last night and managed to get 2 of my luggage tags completed just so i can show you ladies!!! here's the finished product! I still have a bit more cutting to do this weekend and a LOT more pasting but hopefully i can get them all done! And then I will be on the hunt for 24 more loops.

Hi Everyone! With only 3 months to go now, I started getting my little butt in gear this week with my DIY projects. First on the list - luggage tags! FI and I have decided that it would be a nice idea to send a "thank you for booking" letter to all of our guests in the next week or two and include with the letters a luggage tag for each guest. With help of a template that I found via searching on here (of course I can't for the life of me find it again now!! but thank you to the bride who made it originally!!) I designed my tags. I wanted them to stand out as much as possible and since the Jamaican flag is pretty bold in colour, I figured why not include it! **I've attached the template for anyone interested** I purchased the luggage tag holders from another bride (thank you tanyamarie!!) and she did include 2 loops that she had, but I am still in search of 24 more. I printed out all of my templates and then gathered the troops and started cutting away. I actually only have 2 completely done so far, but I really wanted to share them with you all! So here's the finished product! I can't wait to send these out to all of our guests! .. oh and I also have decided that I'm going to make FI and I special "bride" and "groom" ones. oh Brandy how i ♥ u! those are all gorgeous! and Michelle! what a great vista haul!! i'm just waiting for a new email with lots of free offers to make my orders. i showed my mom my 'bride' hat that i got on my last vista order and now she wants a mother of the bride one!

yeah i'm thinking the same thing re: hair band. i have a lot of natural flyaways so i'm thinking a hair band might work out better for me. also the corset top of my dress has a lot of embellishment - as in the entire thing is beaded so maybe a hair flower would take away from that detailing?

and my FI is 5 years older than me! so i am hoping he'll get on the same page as me soon. i keep dropping the 'aww i want one hints' when we see cute babies or kids on tv lately haha (i'm so bad) ooooo i LOVE those rhinestone accesories!!! i've been going back and forth between the idea of a hair flower or head band.. i am just loving those ones!

I pretty much told FI that I wanted baby before 30 simply for personal/health reasons. I turn 28 this year so I think he's starting to understand my now or never itch I'm sure you'd be able to manage the trip w/ baby in tow. A friend of mine took her 6 month old with her to I belive Cambodia for a month this past fall with no issues. As for me wanting to go to Rome, my answer for that is - that's what grandparents are for lol I'm sure when we have the $ to go, if we do have a kid or two it would be no problem to find a sitter so we could still go on our own hehe

*patting own back now* ooo that sounds like an amazing trip Lisa! My dream is to go to Rome one day. I had always wanted to go before babies, but now I have the mega baby itch and really want to start trying in the second half of this year! ..If I can convince FI lol his reaction to that idea is "hmmmm" hahaha

we're just staying for 7 days. we thought about staying for 10, but once we priced it out, it wasn't worth it. plus FI only gets 10 vacation days from work so we couldn't do it anyway..
