  1. ok ladies! With help/tips from mocha, I made my bouquet tonight!!! I'm still not 100% sure about ribbon placement (it's only being held on by pins) but here you go! A "teaser" picture for you ladies only Lighting in the house is HORRENDOUS right now so i'm not going to post other pictures, or a thread in the flowers forum until the weekend when I have the chance at taking some shots in daylight. Anyway, here it is! (along with my little brat Boo) It's a bad picture, but at least it give you ladies the general idea. ok i lied --- 2 pictures (so you can see the ribbon)
  2. Thought I'd revive this thread!!! Any other Riu Negril brides out there????
  3. i keep seeing dresses around here that i think i like more than mine.. hopefully i'll love mine again in 2 weeks when the alterations should be complete!
  4. I almost turned it to Say Yes To The Dress last night when i got on the treadmill, but I then remembered that I have forbid myself to watch it until after the wedding (...i love my dress...i love my dress... i love my dress lol) So.. I watched Entertainment Tonight instead
  5. oh wow! what a great gift!!!
  6. I just found this thread! I wasn't planning on sashes, but if I can find some 'free' or at a good price, why not right? I'm looking for 26 turquoise sashes for my april 9 wedding (we leave april 6). anyone have any laying around?
  7. If you choose to just buy the flowers and make the bouquet yourself, it can be very cheap. Mine only cost $35.
  8. Weighed myself after my 30min run tonight and with no real changes to my lifestyle except for aiming to now do at least 1 workout a day, i've lost 2 lbs! i'm not really aiming to lose weight, just tone up, but hey i'll take that! lol
  9. Welcome Hanna! I'm working on upping my workout schedule a bit, but no major changes for me. I blog about it all here: http://startingoutfit.wordpress.com ... my current weekly schedule is including 3 rides on my horse + 2 strength workouts + 2 runs (min 30 min). I've just picked up Jillian Michaels' Six-Week, Six-Pack dvd which I'm doing for my strength workout as I was quite surprised when I popped it in the other day. It's not a workout of crunches but all different full body movements - it's great! I also really like Jillian's 30-Day shred Dvd.
  10. hey Lisa that's the same form that i got from the clarington website as well. are you getting married at home first? or doing it officially in Mexico?
  11. ooo and I just got the call over lunch ... MY DRESS IS READY!!!! The seamstress told my grandma I just have to go try it on and if she needs to make anymore adjustments that she can make it right then and there so I'll only have to make the 4hr trek East once! So it looks like on the 30th my dress will be good to go!
  12. Perhaps I'll give the court house here a call and ask. as for getting notarized documents unfortunately it costs (at the courthouse) unless you luck out and have a lawyer that will do them for free. i'm going to give my lawyer a call in the next few weeks to see what he can do for us
  13. oops! typo LOL "dumB question" .. not dumP haha
  14. Ok, so this might be a dump question...... but hey! i've never been married so i have no clue! lol even though we're officially getting married in Jamaica, do we still have to get a marriage lisence from our town??? i have no idea how this stuff works.
  15. I snagged it for only $6.99 at Zellers
  16. If you want to work on your mid-section, I recommend trying Jillian Michaels Six-Week, Six-Pack. I only just bought it but the workout seems more realistic than laying there just doing sit ups. I agree with her when she says you can't get a flat tummy just from pounding out sit-ups. It is a combination of movements such as the plank pose, side plank, etc that will help. She incorporates so many different movements that aren't sit ups in the program and I can tell you, my abs burn when I'm done the workout! Just some food for thought!
  17. that's a gorgeous comb!!!! i still can't make up my mind between a headband or hair flower ..... it seems like i change my mind every day!
  18. erin- Walmart around here carries the badge holders for luggage tags about $1-something for a pack of 10. Still on my hunt for the loops though
  19. we send out an email STD in July. everyone who is coming has already booked so we decided there's no point to wasting the time and money on official invitations. we do however plan on sending some sort of Wedding announcement when we get home which will also act as the invitation to the AHR.
  20. thanks ladies!!! can't wait to hear what our guests think! just trying to find those darn loops! lol
  21. oh i hear ya Tris!! going to Jamaica for the wedding will be the first time both FI and I have ever really been anywhere!!! lol ... i chose to buy a car and house after graduating university vs travelling and such.
  22. i'd say wait and go on the trip tris if you can! it's only another year right? i always wanted to do a europe trip first but things just didn't pan out that way for me. like i was saying yesterday, my #1 thing has always been that i want to have my 1st before i'm 30. i turn 28 this fall, so i'm just really wanting to get that ball rolling.
  23. oh my brandy! that sounds like quite the situation!! hopefully it can be cleared up fairly hassle free for you!!! you've just reminded me that i should start looking into when we have to have all of our paperwork down there
  24. hi Teira! 3 months are going to fly!!!! as for the baby thing, i am dying to start trying pretty much right away providing I can get FI on my side i'm working on him! .... can't start until the end of summer anyway though because my oldest brother is getting married Jan 2012 and I don't want to be a blimp then!
