Right from the start, I had a vision in my head as to what I wanted my bouquet to look like. Turquoise is my favourite colour and to no surprise, is my wedding colour. I needed turquoise in my bouquet some how! My FI and I are getting married at the Riu Negril with the Free Wedding package that actually does come with a bouquet and boutenniere, but the choices are pretty slim. The nicest one from the choices consists of purple orchids which just don't go with our turquoise theme. So, I went with the next best thing! afloral.com Ordered the exact flowers I wanted, in the exact colours I wanted. With some playing around, I am absolutely in love with my bouquet! I still plan on changing the ribbon a bit before the big day, as well as trim the end, but the flower arrangement is staying as is. I'm so glad I went with real touch and silk flowers. Next step = figure out how we're going to transport them!

awww that sucks mocha! i was so excited when family day became official. it always made for such a long winter without any breaks.

Made hopefully my last Vista Print order last night!!! 25 X Pre-Travel brochures 50 X Photo-share cards 1 X tote bag - I used the little pink bride & groom template and wrote "I'm The Bride!" on it! haha 1 X mug (for home and it was free) Paid - $13 I'm happy with that!

hey if anyone is wanting to do brochures, but hasn't yet, I got an email yesterday to get 25 Free! i'm working on mine now.

mocha just shop around! there are a lot of dentists around here that actually advertise free whitening for new patients. the one i ended up choosing doesn't advertise but the hygienist said the like to do it for new patients from time to time. i'm excited!

Guess what?! So I had my first appt with a new dentist yesterday (want to get all cleaned up and such before the wedding) .. anyway they saw my engagement ring and after some chatting about the wedding, they proclaimed "well you have to have perfect pearly whites for your wedding day!" and then they offered to whiten my teeth for FREE!!!!! I'm so excited!

Brandy - my dress went to be fitted back in November - but all that needed to be fixed was the length. Got the call this week that she's finished so I'm going on a road trip (it's in my hometown 4 hrs away) the weekend of the 29th to try it on. She said if it's still too long, or too short that she'll just fix it then and there, so after the 29th, my dress should be good to go!

Erin - thanks!!! as for # of flowers, this is my bouquet but to give you an idea, I included i think 7 of the gerberas (orignally planned for 5, so i'm glad I bought a dozen!), 3 of the amaryllis (each with 3 blooms and 1 bud) and 5 of the orchids (i actually have 1 leftover!) hehe that's funny how both your FI's thought that!

Oh so I ended up buying some luggage tag loops last night! I found some turquoise ones (sweet!) but... had to buy a box of 100! Any one here interested in turquoise luggage tag loops??? Once I finish up my tags, the remainder (approx 72) will be up for sale!

I thought of doing a criss cross layer of blue as well .. i'll just have to play around with it. FI says it looks like a blue candy cane right now lol!!! and yes, the orchids came with the blue rhinestones on them. I'm hoping they'll add that extra little sparkle when out in the sun near the water. I'm hoping for a sunny day this weekend so I can get some better pictures that really show the true colours.

thanks ladies!!! i'm pretty happy with how it turned out! as for the ribbon, i think i'm going to concentrate the blue in the middle - like a thick strip of blue - and attach some sort of bouquet bling to it
