another question to those of you officially getting married south.. i'm going over the list of paperwork that we need to send down (FI's dad is getting his lawyer to notarize everything for us this week) .. anyway, in the list it says the usual.. -copies of birth certificates - copies of passports - copies of divorce papers (if applicable - FI was a crazy 19y/o and was married for a year...) - documents stating name change (if applicable) --- what is this???? Is this if we've changed our name in the past? or is this some sort of document I need because I'm going to change my name??

I'm getting married at the Riu Negril in 54 days!!!! couldn't be more excited. We ended up booking at the beggining of August for our upcoming April wedding. $300 at that time as the deposit and then had to pay in full by October. We went with a package from Signature Vacations and they knew our flight schedule then. We've since gotten a credit of $260/couple as part of our 'early-booking-bonus' included a 1 time price drop up to 60 days before our trip.

Oh and get this! Apparantly some friend of FI's parents, who lives in England, and who FI only met like once when he was little heard about our wedding and has already sent FI's parents $200 to give to FI and I on our wedding day!! ... so i'm not going to lie.. the idea of getting more $ from more of their friends is kind of appealing!! LOL I'm totally down for a girls weekend after this!!! Honestly i don't know how I would have gotten through this wedding planning without you ladies!!

ok so i ended up going with the oversized post cards. The shipping was only $1.50 more to add them to my order so why not right? I ended up putting my logo and the 'letter' on the front and found this super cute picture for the back:

I don't plan on worrying about eating drinking the 3 days before the wedding. I'm not a drinker anyway so it's not like i'll be doing some heavy binge drinking while south! Food-wise, I plan to just continue to eat as much as I do now! (breakfast/lunch/dinner + 2 snacks). I also plan on hitting up the gym while I'm there too. yes I'll be on vacation, but by the time I go, I'll be half way through a half-marathon training plan and don't want to not run for a week! So with that being said, i'm not worried at all!

I almost forgot!! UPDATE on my AHR situation... If you guys recall, FI and I had a not-so-hot discussion about our AHR with his parents last weekend... I felt like crap after it. Anyway, we were at there place Saturday for FIL's bday. On the way home, FI told me that his dad actually pulled him aside and apologized for their behaviour towards us and our ideas. He then told FI that the only reason the were pushing us to invite all of their friends to our AHR is because they'll give us $$$$$. (I'm not going to lie, $ for FI and I could be amazing because we're so tight finance wise right now) .. Anyway, FI's dad told him that they would be willing to pay for the whole AHR if we held it at the local polish hall (his fam is Polish). I guess he told FI that they understand we don't want the dance and speeches and stuff, but want people to get a good meal. SO.... that being said, we're considering it... providing that I don't have to do the reception "IN" the hall, but under a tent on the grounds. I'm more open towards the idea knowing that FI's parents would be willing to pay!

Oh and our rings are now ordered!!!! FI's is a custom order so his should be 3-4 weeks away.. .mine just had to be sent away to be sized for my tiny 5.5 fingers lol So I should probably have it next week! I didn't want to take it off in the store yesterday!!

Thanks Char!! Oh good call! I think I'm going to keep hounding the local stores. Saturday I saw some maid of honour and flower girl ones, so maybe they'll get more soon. I overheard that they get new stock in on mondays, so i'll probably pop by after work tomorrow to see. Thanks Meg!! Thanks Brandy!! I brought everything over to mom at lunch, so here's hoping she gets some done this week. i'm anxious to see them all done!

Hi ladies!!! I still need to go back a few pages and catch up on weekend happenings!! Just wanted to share my OOT bag logo! I bought the iron on paper this weekend with a 50% off coupone at Michaels so now my mom has a job to do! (i'm not sure why the colour changed to a lighter shade when I uploaded to photobucket.. but the tree is more turquoise) Can't wait to see how it's going to look on the bags! We wanted to not include anything 'wedding-wise' to encourage people to use them after Jamaica. Also hoping this is more gender-neutral. Because it sounds like another of FI's buddies might be coming now! As of Saturday night, he has plans to call our TA today!!!
