  2. the only things i want and would register for is a kitchen aid mix master and a food processor!! LOL and they're not cheap! i'm telling you, if Ikea did registries, I'd be all over it!! sadly, they don't...

We hope you dont find out request to be funny But we really would appreciate a gift of money hehehe i ♥ it. i've owned our home for 4 years now and we really don't need anything that we would register for. what we really need is $ so we can do things like fix up our house.. so we'd rather not go and register for stuff that we'll never use, you know?

I'm thinking i should take advantage of it!! i'm going to work on designing them tonight when i have the Mac and Illustrator to work with, but i've been working on fixing up the wording.   8. k, I have an AHR question - now that i'm doing one.. we don't want to do formal dances or speeches or anything... we're not hiring a dj, just going to play music from our ipods. honestly, if i didn't know FI's friends would come and give us all kinds of $ (which we could really use), I wouldn't even have an AHR. Essentially it's just going to be a big polish feast (FI's family is Polish) at the local Polish hall because his parents didn't think a bbq was good enough for their friends who are going to come and give us $. I'm wondering how we can go about wording our invites so that guests know that this isn't going to be a traditional wedding reception with the dance and stuff, but just essentially a dinner??? being that it's at a hall, I'm pretty sure everyone will assume the dance and stuff. i like this wording: You don't need a ticket or an advance reservation, just make waves to our wedding celebration. Lisa - love the centerpieces!!! i'm going to have to start brainstorming for ideas now that i'm having my AHR in a hall instead of bbq-style thanks greys! my FI's ring is actually Tungsten hopefully you find something too!!! and here i was stressing that we were ordering our late when we went a few weeks ago!! lol .. mine had to be sized and FI's is custom made-to-order so we were actually surprised that it came so soon!
  17. tris - your stuff looks amazing!!! I should also report that we went to look at our AHR venue today, which is now booked for June 25!!! we're thinking we're going to make our invites asap and send them right before we leave for Jamaica before people plan something else for that weekend.

  19. sweet! my boss let me ship all the paperwork to Jamaica via our work's account! they're ready and waiting to be picked up by the FED-EX guy now! yay!

  21. that's pretty great of them to pay your 407 bill and gas!! that's got to help a lot! ... we'll see how nice my company is right now lol ... after doing online quotes for ups and fedex and seeing how much it's going to cost to ship our paperworl (holy cow!!) i just emailed my boss (she's at another branch today) to see if i can ship from here via fedex on work's account.
  22. I now have our notarized paperwork in my possession!! phew!! so fancy too with the sticker and all. He did 2 copies of everything for me -- did you ladies send 2 copies down? or just one? That's awesome about the hanger Erin!! i think i'm going to look around on etsy this aft for a hair flower under $20!

I'm not sure how bonuses work anywhere else, but for my company it's called 'profit sharing' ... if we have a good year, we get a bonus - always this time of year. i have no idea how they split up the $ since i got so little and those who sit next to me and do the same level of work got 3x as much... we only get it when we have a good year though. i dont' remember getting one for the past 2 years now.
  24. i can't believe how stressful this week has been!!! i can't wait till i can put it behind me.. warning vent (not wedding related, but i just really need to get it off my chest) -- aside from the notarizing stuff, this week was bonus week at work. my dad, who is very high up in the company tells me on the weekend that the group he runs is expected to get a bonus around $3-4K and that I should expect the same thing. Imagine my excitement! Debt would be paid off leaving us even more extra $... I felt so good! .. until my boss sends me an email wednesday telling me that my bonuse is going to be $698...... when it's all said and done (got the pay stub) after taxes.. i get $520..... people who work in my building, who work for the same company as me have been flapping their mouths (well the one gossip queen that is) - they got over $3k!!! ... so not fair. i feel defeated and wonder why i even work here!
