Can you believe this??? I went Friday to my Old Navy...they still only had literally 3 small racks of bathing suits - that's it!!! no bandeau tops yet and no boy bottoms (which are what i want). The girl said that she *thinks* they might be coming in on today's shipment.. so i'm going to send my mom tomorrow or thursday to take a look. I was online yesterday and with the current sale, they're essentially out of the boy bottoms on there too!! .. hopefully they just show up in store and it all works out.

yuck!!! thank goodness we only got about 2cm of snow sat over night. it's sunny here today but ccccccold... -12 this am when we got up

that snow is nuts erin!!! we got the rain and THEN snow on the weekend! the farm where I keep my horse is an absolute MESS!! no word of a lie, yesterday the entire driveway/barn yard/2 of 4 fields had about 1-2ft of ice covered in snow .. but that you'd fall through!!!! horses are all stuck inside because it's not safe! .... this time last year it was so nice and dry that we were riding outside!! ... wednesday marks 4 weeks until we leave and i'm counting down each and every day!!! lol

Had my 'final fitting' this weekend!!! next time I wear my Maggie, I'll be saying 'i do!'

thanks mocha & brandy!!! the dress pattern overwhelmed me a little bit yesterday lol but my mom and i saw down and went through it step by step. she gave me something to do each night this week that should only take me 15-20 min a night, so here's hoping it works out!!!

Good morning ladies!! I still have to go back and catch up from the weekend but for now here you go!!! .... Yesterday was my final "fitting" .. ie. the last time I try on my whole dress together (top and bottom) before the big day!!! my grandma was down for the weekend (the one who can't come to jamaica) and I wanted to try it on for her so she can see me in it in person. AND I actually remembered to get my mom to snap a pic! So here you go.. all altered with the 8' + train GONE! I'm really happy with it! oh! and there was more than enough fabric left over from the train that was removed.. my mom and I started cutting out the pattern for the cocktail dress I want to make! She's going to finish cutting out today and I should be starting the sewing tonight. If all goes well, we might even have that done by the weekend!

thanks for the heads up on the flipflops meggers!! i'll check the store first though to avoid shipping charges. luckily with my teeny feet, i don't usually have issues with them not having my size in store. worst case scenario i'd buy girls flip flops.

I actually have some wedding stuff on my weekend to-do list!!! i essentially only have 3 mroe weekends to get stuff done because i really dont' want to be scrambling the weekend before we leave. So here we have it: - shop for bathing suits - I'm thinking of popping into old navy after work today to see if they got the bandeau tops in yet. their website shows exactly what i want (on sale in my colour too!) but a bathing suit isn't something i'm comfortable about ordering online due to sizes (not sure what i am). FI and i checked our local store 2 weeks ago and they didn't have the bandeau ones in yet. maybe i'll luck out tonight! http://oldnavy.gapcanada.ca/browse/product.do?cid=66583&vid=1&pid=810730&scid=810730033 - finish cutting out the holes on my do not disturb door hanger - do the final glueing/fix-ups on my dress then try it on for my grandma (She can't come to the wedding and is down for the weekend). it will also be the last time i put it on before the big day!! so there will definitely be pics!! - with help from my mom, cut out the fabric so that i can get started on my DIY dress!! hoping to be able to finish the dress before we leave!

On the topic of airlines - I'm actually flying Sunwing .. on a champagne flight at 6:45am to be exact I'm not sure if there's any specials for bride and groom, but I do know of another bride who flew to my resort from Toronto with the same travel group as me and they had special compartments just for her dress and another bride's dress - so that's good to know! I think i'm going to contact them anyway in the next few weeks just to make sure.

they were FREE to make too!! i just designed the bookmarks, printed them on my dad's printer, then brough them back to work where I laminated them. At home last night i just had to punch the hole and attach the hemp string (i already had a huge ball of string from years ago)
