Congrats mochamakes3 & we thank you for your words of wisdom. May I ask you what questions (that you have learned of) are more important than others? For some reason, I thought that contract was going to be lenghty. To my suprise its only 3 pages. However; my biggest ?? and the biggest discrepancy... is the "outside vendor policy" or shall I say to day pass or reserve a room. Again thanks so much and I look forward to reading the 2011 Bride reviews and taking notes. Chanel

There are tons of mixed reviews for the outside vendors. I'm going to do my best to obtain 2 day passes (it would be way cheaper). However; its a shame to say that I think that depending on the coordinator that you receive (this is where the variation of answers come from.) However; my photog does not require a nites stay. He simply ask that all is set-up via a day pass or whatever required by MP so that he can service us.

Hey Ladies, I received my confirmation today via the telephone I will receive my contract (which is sent via email. Make sure you check your spam box) sometime today. Now I can contact my photog etc.. to give them the go ahead and down payment to make it official. They were kind enough to hold my date and have been since Nov. Sarah Sprouille (who is a vendor on this site) will begin our STDs on the 10th so this weekend I have to finish our questionnaire. MY DIY will be limited to OOT bags (extras inside of it), Pre travel packets and items for the reception. I'm not patient enough nor crafty/creative to do invites etc.. Chanel The future Mrs. Wright

I agree!! However; have some comfort because if you go back on the reservation website and enter your info as if you are booking, you will see that the time that you requested on your date is blocked off so that no one else can reserve it. I'm calling tomorrow though ;-)

Don't be nervous....This is what Janice and Lauren (cause I had to be sure) said to me. Once the minister confirms that "he is available" then they will send the contract.

Yes you still get the events/free nights if you use a TA. We are using our TA that plans all of our trips etc...and we will even get more discounts through the agency depending on how many people book.

I would air on the side of caution and slighly increase the number(s) of those you would expect to come. I say this as it would be better to downsize an area needed versus trying to find a bigger area (all on MP side of course). So if you think you would have 30 people I would put 45. Hope this helps.

Congrats and AlyssaMac7!!! I am also an April 12 MP Bride and our date is booked for 4/21/12 YAY.... Word of advise, as soon as you and FI choose a date, book it ASAP which you can do on their website. Chanel

YAY!!!!! WE got our date and time There just waiting for the minister to confirm the date and time before they send me the contract. Now it's time to finish our questionnaire so that Sarah can begin our STDs etc... This calls for a glass of Merlot. Oh I forgot, I'm still at work (smile).

I just ordered swatches from both the Linen and Pure Irish Linen sections. Once received, I will take pictures and upload. Hopefully, this will help others interested.

YAY!!!! We should here within 24-48 hours. However, when I went back into the system a few hours later, I noticed that the time I reserved was blocked off so that no one else can choose it. I so hope that this was for me ;-) but no way of knowing until they call. However; Lauren from the Miami office was so nice (although she doesn't work with the MP cancun resort) and said that things should be fine. Happy Planning. Who's doing DIY projects?

Welcome MoonPalace2012 bride. Okay Ladies LISTEN UP!!! Okay so I'm a bit anal especially since Sarah who will be doing our STDs and Invitations will be starting our STDs soon, to get a date locked down. Well, believe it or not sweetie and I pulled over on the side of the road after ringing in the New Years to send our email. Well to our disappointment, the year has not been udpated in Moon Palace system. So, later that day I sent an email. There out of office response was that "they will be out of the office beginning Dec 30th at 1pm and will not return until Jan 3rd". With that knowledge I set-out to give them time to get settled on Monday and then call, only after I tried one more time to get on the website to send the request. Low & behold it still wasn't updated. So, I decided to call. When I did, I was immediately emailed the "Wedding Reservation Request Form" to which it was stated to either print, scan and email back or fax back. Since the font was like 8 and I would spend most of the time reformating etc.. I decided to print and fax back. I suggest that by the time you get this message, and the website still isn't update to call like I did. I can breathe a little now...with full options once my date and time is locked in. That's awesome! Thus far my responses have averaged between 2-3 days which wasn't bad. I didn't expect that because of the post. But given how popular this venue seems to be, I definitely will not hold them to the above. Happy Happy Planning. I am so excited that it's 11'. Now if I can only stay off of this forum until my test on the 14th I will be doing FAB ;-)

YAY I did the same thing! I hope that I receive a response within the next two days (since several staff said that once you submit the request on line it will take 24-48 hours for your "assigned coordinator to contact you". However; I will not be satisfied until our date and time is locked in. So, more than likely I will call tomorrow and submit an online request when it changes over.

Happy New Year, I am waiting for my p90x to come in the mail along with my resistance bands etc.. any words of wisdom? Has anyone broken the hour down to morning and then evening?
