I must say that the responses, compliments, and gratitude from the receipt of the OOT bags was AMAZING, to say the least and definitely set the standard for what was to come!! We gave these out at our Welcome Cocktail Then the additional compliments from the wedding day was OVERWHELMING as everyone pretty much had to wait until the reception to tell me how nice everything was etc. followed by the request to do parties, future weddings and a big high school reunion party next year..whew! Those blue drinks came in handy ;-) I say all of this to say that 1) when people are traveling to your wedding the last thing they expect is a gift of any sort! So whatever you do, they will be grateful. 2) Many guest don't have an expectation of decor as your surrounding will be Beautiful and actually enough. So any decor that you bring will be in addition to, and give things YOUR touch Lastly, we had 8 bags (yes 8) total not including my dress and Hubby's suit. With that said, I packed with a list to know what bag had what, didn't get a flight with layovers (my stomach would never allow it.... aka I'm a tad bit anal) and lastly, I used my MOH, BM & new Big brother and Aunt to help take 4 bags. However; the bags that were given to them were all OOT related because in my mind if anything got lost it would not be Decor (all that jazz came with us ;-) also this kept our bags fees reasonable. Hope this helps

Hey Kisha, Hope the planning is going well. We actually did the 5-6inch ones from http://www.conchking.com/Pearl-Nautilus-Shells.htm purchased the colored sand from https://www.sandsationalsparkle.com/Wedding-Sand-_c_230.html you can get sample sand from them to match your color before buying 1 pound bags etc.

SkeeWee :-) Thanks so much for the compliments Soror! No worries about the time as you can always purchase an extension for a minimal fee. I started out with some type of special after my trial which gave me 15months. But this domain name will be active for 1yr so 6/2013. Hope that helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks so very much! He is such a sweetie and you so not intrusive! All of our guest loved him to pieces. We drove about 1/2hr 45 minutes to get to the Cenote. We were out there for about 4 hours. Thanks LeeNancy ;-) I had the best time of my life. People are still commenting on our wedding and it feels amazing to say the least! Thanks mrsjdh2b, he did an amazing job. I totally forgot to tell him a few shots that I absolutely wanted but with all that was going on I totally forgot LOL He took in upwards of 900 picks and we have at least 600+ in our hands. We had a BAAAAAAAALLLLLLL

MJKH - Our Brunch At Home Reception with Pictures!!!

Great job, everything turned out AMAZING!!!!! -
If it wasn't for this website I would have purchased EVERYTHING & definitely wasted money. The bottom line is your having a destination wedding and the surroundings of the resort, beach etc... is beautiful by itself!! So, if anything you are simply providing enhancements based on your style. You can keep it simple or go all out (more expensive option without the DIYing) Paper in the way of others doing things add up!!!! You can keep this to a minimum by DIYing or finding someone to set-up the design and you do the printing etc... With all that said, I started planning about 15 months before our wedding date. I sacrificed my weekends (in most cases which saved me tons of money) and cut etc.... I was also able to print at work (saved me easily a couple hundred bucks). But you know you best!!!

With any package/purchase you get to customize your domain name. I chose the next to the highest package, with copyright, etc.... The reason I did this was since we were planning a destination wedding, we wanted to give everyone at least a year to plan etc.... and the "What's new pop up feature" is awesome! To get the new domain name was only $20.00. So essentially you can link to us via both names until the expiration date.

The Hard Rock Punta Cana
coconoir1908 replied to LovesJakeyPoo's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
Ladies, Congrats to all the future and current brides! I am looking to Honeymoon at the Hard Rock on 5/15-5/21/2013, and really struggling with what room to choose as they all look so beautiful. Yet, because it will be our honeymoon I want a "little extra". Has anyone utilized the Caribbean Sand Suite with Rock Star package" What room did you/your guest choose? Thanks for the help.
