  1. Ladies, Per a suggestion from my TA, on our website we have included an "Inital Deposit Due by time" Although we know that there will be quite a few late bookings, at least we can start to get some type of head count. In additon, our TA will advise of us who has booked. Also, on my website, I have asked people to RSVP. If I see items that I "just can't pass up or otherwise on sale" I will get them and probably overestimate. However; we are doing Towels/Cups for our OOT bags so I will wait on those as they will be monogrammed.
  2. Kya101 Congrats...its so exciting and surreal. Would you mind posting a pictures or sharing where you got your cups from for those of us still searching ;-) Thanks so much and happy planning'
  3. Hello 2011 Brides, Just wondering if any of you had or will have a "non MP" DJ? If so how did you manage this? Thanks a 2012 MP Bride
  4. Please report how that goes! I was thinking of doing it in June, however; I'm so over the crowds LOL
  5. Other brides (Punta Cana) who used the cups got a generic design so that everyone and simply the year on it so that everyone could use them. But they have a minimum order of I think 250 which is a lot for 1 person.
  6. I'm totally in for the color changing cups....I would at least need 75 myself
  7. Yup you are.....1 speaker is the difference PSAV_Wedding_Packages_-_Moon_Palace_2011-1.pdf
  8. Exactly, And this is what I basically told my MP coordinator. Being polite and as diplomatic as possible I advised her of several brides that have either used or currently using the same DJ. I also asked if changes from 2011 were going to affect the 2012 brides... but she didn't answer any questions..instead she shoved me off to Edith. Great pass on her part but I will try to press once I'm assigned a coordinator.
  9. Ok Ladies, There are two in house DJ's and they are JSAV (Carlos) and PSAV (Mauricio). Edith from MP (after being forwarded an email from my Miami Coordinator) kindly reminded me that "per your contract their are no outside vendors." Needless to say I'm not smiling at Edith at all. However; she did cc both of these gentlemen my information. PSAV emailed me with is package in a pdf format. DJ services are as follows: Option 1 Option 2 2 hours for $926.96 4 hours at $1086.69 Gold Package 4 hours of a DJ + lighting $1282.00 IPOD set-up to four hours: 2-40 people $231.90 and for 45-100 people $366.30 I haven't received anything from JSAV which I think is the one that I have read about.. but who knows as the only damn difference is the J and P
  10. Beatyea, That's the one thing I won't chance especially with the inconsistency of MP & the Miami Coordiators. And although this may work for photogs I doubt it will work for the DJ LOL
  11. What's your email address I can send pictures and direction on what I have on my external hard drive.
  12. Hola, I just logged 9 miles on Kelly Drive (Philly). 4.5 for both Sunday and Monday. My goal will be to walk/run 16 miles each week. Since I have been dormant for a while, I will do this until May before I add on Zumba and Power 90. I will be moving in May so this will give me more room in my basement to set things up like a gym and still have my laundry room which will be seperate(yay). And to top that off, if I want to rejoin the GYM it will be in one block walking distance from my new house (sweet). So now I will be on the thread more (to which I have been avoiding)... Gosh I love my beer LOL
  13. krsmith, Del Sol and therefore La Luna should be fine. In reading several threads here I believe that this is one vendor who navigated it all for their folks at Moon. Call your photog they should be fine though. It's seems from the 2011 thread (latter part) that a few are having problems with outside vendors. I can only imagine that they try to be more strict as us 2012 folks come along. However; I think (from reading) that the MP coordinator is the person to really get things going... hopefully this will be the case for my DJ.
  14. Krsmith, Deco Cancun aka Zuniga is one of MP's preferred vendors. If you are flying in your Photog then you will have no problem since they are apart of your guest anyway. My photog is from Mexico and I am getting a one night room for him and his wife as our TTD is the next morning and they will be driving us, so for us this is better. The only thing that I wanted was the DJ as I have heard mixed reviews on the JSAV or PSAV (I forgot who is who) folks. I talked to FI tonight and if we can't get DJ Mannia then we will have a DJ at home that does weddings load us up on ipod songs and just rent their system. Maybe I will have better luck once my MP coordinator is signed. Merrylee who is your coordinator? , Quote: Originally Posted by merrylee They will not do it in the actual contract, but I do have permission via email to use outside vendors that I will be using if they try to cause issues
  15. Ladies, Have anyone tried to have their contract amended to add an outside vendor? Or does anyone have a contract with permission to use an outside vendor in it already? I have Janina Mendoza for my Miami coordinator and over the weekend, I asked for our contract to be amended to allow DJ Mannia (a well know DJ at Moon Palace) to be added in. This afternoon I received a reply stating "Sorry but we do not accept outside vendors, we do have our own; we will gladly contact you with them if you want." I'm going to ask for a list of their "approved vendors." As I do not want to use their DJ as I have heard mixed reviews, and their prices are crazy hi. Stay tuned. If anyone has an approved vendor, would you mind PMing me the language used in your contract. Thanks
