I think its a matter of choice. We are doing symbolic ceremony along with the complimentary package so that we can add on whatever we like. With the symbolic we are not required to be there 3 days before the wedding, however; we are getting there early to get things like OOT bags etc settled. Our Pastor will marry us before heading to Mexico.

That's so awesome MerryLee! Your guest will love them!!! Planning was put on hold a little as we moved into our new home and still getting settled. But loving every minute of our "hectic" lives ;-) My next venture is June 11th when my bridal party and I head out to find "the dress" I'm praying that my top two are it ;-) In either case after that, it will be on to picking out our DJ. What's next on your agenda?

Not that I have noticed on this particular blog. Grand from what I have read, is the more laid back section coming in right after Nizuc (which is the oldest of the 3 sections). Sunrise is more lively and right in the midst of it all.

Hey there fellow SM's! It's been a while since I have been on the site, as FI and I have finally moved into our new home and can breathe a little. When I say a little it's a real quick breather LOL. $$$ keep passing before our eyes and boy-o-boy I need a and it ain't coffee LOL. There hasn't been much on the home front regarding the future stepdaughter who will soon turn 19, especially since she simply hasn't responded to anything that I may even mention regarding the wedding. So, with that said I am going to continue to keep her in the loop as I do with my bridal party and if she calls/responds she does and if she doesn't she simply do not. I have decided that this is OUR day (her father's and I), so I will not chase any young adult, old adult or anyone else down for that matter to participate. I have contacted my bridal party regarding the "Girls Day Out" breakfast, 2 bridal appointments, 2 bridesmaid appointments, make-up trials by my make-up artist that will travel to Cancun with us, pictures and dinner. I have received a response from everyone but her (even from those living in CO and TN) that can not make it. However; to date I have received NADA, Zilch, Zero from her. Therefore, if I do not receive a response, she will not be included point blank. I know that her dad maybe a little upset, however; she's not a kid and frankly is acting rather selfishly. In addition, he hears me planning and knows that she hasn't responded to date. Our Girls Day Out is June 11th, so I will keep you posted on what happens or simply what doesn't.... this is really a pain in the

I checked it the other day to see how many brides were on the 21st and it was all "time available". I checked other days as well however; some were there and some weren't.

Garnetmmm, My MP Coordiator sent the rates for 2012 directly to my TA. Earlier on I asked that my MP coordinator cc me on all emails (I'm Type A when it comes to $$). Plus I want to make sure that we were all on the same page and ensure a great discount. My TA's prices were pretty much in line with MP. Talk to your TA to see what can be done. If there is no budge, I highly recommend getting a TA that can match or ensure MP's prices while getting you the perks.

Andreanna, First let me say that Moon Palace (MP) didn't start booking 2012 weddings (no matter what month it was) until Jan 2011. With that said, I would call the wedding department at Dreams to find out what their policy is, etc.. If they say that you can book now..I highly suggest you find a new TA. It can be frustrating to wait but it is also nice to gauge what the cost, timeframe etc.. are.

J-me Go right ahead and borrow away as I did from several different brides.

kris10kay On our website (which the STD refers them to) we have a RSVP link. To date we have 33 RSVP's with 40ish attending. In addition, we our TA suggested that we have a "deadline" date for their first deposit so that we can get a gauge on whose going. Although the "deadline date" is not a deadline..I hear people family, friends saying I'm calling Liz to do our deposit. All that to say, we know that we will have late comers, but hopefully we can get a good count for "extras" and the OOT bags

I sent out...Will you be my bridesmaid cards. I got them from Etsy and I posted them in this thread a while back. I didn't do anything elaborate as I am paying for their BM dresses as my gift.
