Post your wedding Dress!!

Beautiful dresses ladies -
For those that asked me for Lizzie's information (after checking my email, I do not have Lizzie). However; someone posted her information on this thread a little while back. May I make a suggestion? Please feel free to disregard this information. Contact your MP coordinator via email with a list of questions that you would like answered. Make it as many questions as possible so that 1) you can have one document and have things organized 2) so that you can have the information in WRITING vs. VERBAL and 3) Ask questions that you know the MP coordinator can not answer. This way he/she will forward your email to the on-site MP person like Lizzie. And/or simply call them and ask for a person on MP that can assist you. As mentioned above I didn't even have her so many there is more than one person handling. But everything that I sent or was sent to me has my wedding contract number on it.

I will have to comb through my emails. However; I didnt' secure my locations with her. Before there was a Lizzie, I had my locations secure/booked (there are 8 weddings on our day so there was no way in hell that I was going to wait on locations. If there were only 3-4 weddings I wouldn't have even concerned myself with this detail.) It wasn't until I asked Janina tons of MP questions (table size, etc via email) things that she didn't know, that she put me in contact with Lizzie. My main goal with Lizzie was to confirm my locations (since I had dealt with someone else prior) and to forward her my emails that I have, to make sure nothing was changed. She confirmed everything IN WRITING via email and that was it. I'm not the type to stress and given the tons of reviews coupled with how MP takes care of the majority of things when you get there. I'm not going to bombard them, yet I'm going to spend time creating the look/feel and things that IFI and I want. That way when we are on-site all things will be in order and I can relay our ideals about our day to them. Now if I have a questions about something that is needed to help make a decision about the decor that I am brining or something major then I will call. The one thing that I have learned from this thread and about Moon is that "what was so for 2011 brides may not be so for 2012" And that what was accepted and told to one bride may not the same as the next. Although an internal failure on MP part which causes us much stress, they will deliver a beautiful "almost flawless" wedding (which we have read over and over again). So knowing this I can relax. Lizzie is great and very responsive, just know that it may take her a minute to get back to you because MP is either forwarding Lizzie emails from future brides and/or giving out her email. I had a same day turnaround a while back and then it was like 3-5 days. But once you get your locations booked you will relax more. Hoping you get the places that you want.

mrsbruff2b Are you speaking of photogs or what I have listed below? As there is a difference between what MP considers to be an "outside vendor" that will have a cost and what you can bring (unlimited only by what you are willing to pay for with extra luggage and customs cost). Either way send me a PM and I will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Hey Ladies, I finally heard from Marvin and although he truly works on "Mexico Time" I am no longer worried with the sample pictures and prices that he sent. So with that said I can check this off of my list. The only things left to do is what I consider to be the small things (small in the sense that they are already a work in progress and/or I just need to make a decision): finalize decor (wedding/cocktail hr/reception work on a few extra DIY projects (not pressed but, will attempt. If they turn out right I will add, if not I won't LOL) Get FI's ring (narrowed down to 3 choices) Pay balance on dress when it come in Order sand ceremony frame Make wedding programs for our raffia fans Decide on memorial flower pictures tags or memorial table (both of FI's parents are deceased & my best friend passed 2 yrs ago) Kleenex on hand big time Decorate Broom for our Jumping the Broom Ceremony Order Suits for Groom & the Gents (FI work's schedule is crazy) we will order his by month end (Pure linen and blended to see which one he likes the best) Take my Grandma & Mom shopping for their dress Order our monogrammed towels (Found but will not do this until end of Jan) Order my little flower girls dresses (found but will not order until end of Jan) So with the exception of the 2 items that I will not order until Jan. I am pushing to be done by Nov with the other items. But, am glad to say that I met my goal of getting the MAJOR things done before my son starts back to school. And I have 2 weeks to spare so who knows what I will come up with next LOL I pray that each of you are chopping away at your to do list! Blessings Chanel aka coconoir1908

I'm actually going to ask my photog if I can do a change. As I would love some color in the water I am going to see if I can do my wedding dress and alternate dress as well (which is the gown length of the Butter by Nadia dresses that I purchased for my girls). If I can't do a quick change, its wedding dress all the way with my barefoot jewerly made by Chelsea from Red-i -
Have you thought about convertible dress? After they tried on both Two Birds and Butter by Nadia they chose the latter to which I paid for. I narrowed down those two designers and they picked from there. These dresses as many (Idelli etc..) can be worn over and over again with no need for alterations. I didn't want the jersey material so this is why I went with the two above. That way they can truly get some use out of the dresses.

Hi ladies, I paid for (they were ordered and received) for 6 BM's dresses and will pay for my flower girls as well. FI will pay for the GM suits and ties this is our way of saying "thank you for traveling for our wedding." With that said, I am not requiring their hair to be done in a certain fashion however; I did ask that since they are wearing convertible dresses that the hairstyle would compliment the dress. Also, I gave them the option of having their make-up done by the artist that will come on site, to do their own or to go to the spa. Most will have theirs done by Norma Perez-Cancun and this will be at their own cost. As much as I would like to pay for everything, this would equate to having a wedding just as costly as staying home. And we don't want to negate the main reason that we chose a destination wedding.
