  1. Please tell FI that I will NOT accept your apology, at ALL Yet I send you a THANK YOU and a big for caring enough (spelling nature or not) to let me know before the big day. Tell FI that I said, that would have been devastating to say the least. So to be corrected on a site where we are here to HELP, well is just that! To save myself the agony of punching these butterflies out again, I simply cut them off after the words "Wedding Cake" and then used my corner punch to round off the edges to match the top. So all is well and no spelling errors;-) I'm glad they could be salvaged because although I have extra paper, the butterflies took forever. Thanks again
  2. Well ladies, Merrylee saved my Muchas Gracias! If you haven't read, Merrylee picked up that I had a spelling mistake where it was to read "Assorted Mexican Desserts" but it was was spelled Deserts. So with that said, I got out of bed (I was viewing from my phone), to look and wow.. So I tried to salvage the butterflies (I can always print right)... well the butterflies were STUCK... thanks to Martha's adhesive.... there was NO way in hell that I was going to put my hand through more pain trying to punch these babies out.. that Martha punch is far from easy..... so as a result the invites look the same minus 1 1/2 inch. That's right I cut the bad boys off after "Wedding Cake" So now they are exactly the same length as our cocktail menus. Not bad for an all around save. Thanks again Merrylee
  3. Thanks sooo...much for pointing it out to me!! I really appreciate it.
  4. Now isn't that some bull--bleep. Back to the drawing board. Well I have extra paper but damn I'll have to try to salvage the butterflies.
  5. zappos.com bluefly.com ebay.com shoes.com endless.com I could go on and on but this should help
  6. Well date nite with FI is cancelled since he had to work late.....but no worries since we have a wedding to plan for right ;-) So as promised from earlier here is a picture of our cocktail menu which is based off of the Superior Hor D'Oeuvres. We are not decorating much for the cocktail hour (well it is only an hour) however; there must be a splash of color. So, of course these menus along with our butterflies will help us out here. I made these smaller and wider than our other menus & placed the butterfly in a different area. However; the key for me was to make sure that it tied in with our dinner menus. Here are the dinner menus adorned with the 4D butterflies. After these dry, I will begin to add the white Swarovski Crystals to the head and tail of the butterfly. Happy DIYing
  7. Well ladies, Although I added on 2-4 small (very small) DIY projects, I can scratch off 2. 1) I made Cocktail Hour Menus (to coordinate with our reception menus). Will post once I get home and add our BB's (Butterflies and Bling). 2) I also made our "notecards" for our guestbook. Once I get FI's approval, I will find the right paper to print these on.. The notecards will be for our guest to write well wishes to the bride and groom. I'm still playing around with the actual Guestbook...... TGIF & Have a great weekend.
  8. Love Love Love your engagement photos. My Fav is definitely the books Waldo and Psych... Love it..
  9. Sohpia, With a 120 guest, I wouldn't even begin to do DIY projects. I think that wedding favors and a follow-up thank you gift once you get back and settled, would be perfect! Thanks so much for the compliment. As far as my org skills, I just can't let things sit. I'm a "let's get it done" type of person. In addition, with work (I'm a VP and oversee 6 health centers and 50+ staff), just getting a house with FI in May, renting my old house, along with my 11yr old schedule etc... I just can't afford to let things sit. I contemplated many of times going back to get my Ph.D, however; with the avoidance of a dissertation and more student loans I have no template stored for it however; if I did I would gladly hand it over.
  10. Thanks Jamie Isn't it amazing! I simply love being the first among family and friends to have a DW because they don't know what to expect besides going away and I will be setting the bar for other DW's that they may attend in the future. It's amazing what some DIYing can do... I think if time permits I will do more things DIYish like Holiday cards etc... Career change... I love healthcare tooo much ;-) But I can say that I am hoping to get some "who did these can will you do" at the wedding. Then, I can see what my tolerance level for doing things for others will be. LOL you deserve it... Sweet
  11. Thanks so much ladydi ;-) Thanks chipmunk..... I look forward to finishing them even though they will be a pain in the TeeHee
  12. Ahhhh thanks so much for the compliment but my FT wouldn't allow a side job. You think I'm exhausted now......Whew. As far as menus do you have the list from MP? If not you should contact your MP coordinator & ask for menus, map, salon & spa prices, cake & flower options. From there you can get a pretty good idea about what you want.
  13. Evening Ladies, Well, this morning @ approximately 6:45 a.m. my printer love and I worked together to produce the final version of our wedding menu. So of course once I got home, & while the little one is doing homework I started to cut these babies apart (3 menus were printed on a page & I printed 20 pages). So already tired, there was no way that I could go through a second cutting to make sure I didn't cut the border.. ugh... So I only did 2 so that I can show you ladies what will be my project Thursday and Friday. FI & I are happy with the results and even more happier because I may not have to use Sarah from Sprouille Designs for these things... Can you say "saving money" So without further ado, here are our menus. The food is based on our choice of the Tex Mex Buffet. I have to go to bed... Nite ladies
  14. Not at all. Many of the DIY are paper related which is easy to pack. In addition things like the "Thank you for booking" and "Pre-travel packet with luggage tags" either have been or will be mailed prior to departure. Also, my bridesmaids (since there are no major activities at home) will be responsible for bringing items there. I'm taking all wedding decor etc.. they will bring OOT stuff. Also, things will be packed in bags that I can fit into our regular clothes suitcase when we return. But I already calculated extra bags fees LOL Jamie, maybe I should have sent you more paper and I would have this problem LOL
  15. Hmmmm I recall that at about 9ish this morning, that I said after a few projects I would be done. Well, in that very same hour I added (although small) 2-3 more.. Damn, Damn, Damn... if I didn't have extra paper I know that I would not try and figure out what to do with it. OH well
  16. I will email you first thing in the am..... Thanks so much.. our theme was driven by our custom STD and invites.
  17. Morning Ladies, Well, this is truly a HUMP day and I started it off right with my printer man ;-) he graciously allowed me to print our menus (will post once I'm done adding the 3D or 4D butterflies) along with our welcome tags that will adorn some items inside of our OOT bags(will post in final thread). So, I was able to move these files to my "Finished & Printed DIY projects" I'm also done with our programs however; I will not print those until 12/1 (the deadline that I have given the 2 troublesome BM's). So either they will be a "print as-is" or remove 2 names and then print.. either case they are ready. Next: Escort Cards (I have the concept just need to find the right look), and table numbers (will let FI decide what to do as I'm running crazy with ideas.) And with the completion of these I will be done my DIY adventure. Unless (really hoping not to) I add something on but, I highly doubt it.... Happy DIYing ladies
  18. Super Super Beautiful! And FI will be please. You go girl I'll definitely remember the "magic tip" as I will do this for our 1 year
  19. Selina, My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours! Have a truly FAB wedding. Love you girly
  20. Thanks Meesh990, but I have to give all credit to this site as it truly inspired me to get out of my norm of just "finding someone else to do it and buy" LOL Go Jamie!! I am sure that besides the many compliments that you will get people to book. Sometimes all they need is a pretty reminder (invites etc..) and a deadline we would love to see your dress and kindly make any recommendations but in the end, you must love it regardless of our opinions. We are here to SUPPORT you. Sending blessings to you for your grandfather.. Smoylan, if you have the MP locations etc that will help to begin to identify areae that you are interested in. But feel free to ask questions here and we will do our best to help you be prepared for your meeting. Palacebridex2.... and Happy Planning. Although a very long Thread that we have going on, I do highly recommend starting from the beginning and having a paper and pen in hand as we have tons of helpful information all the way through.
  21. Welcome back girly! We missed YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Glad you are recovering and that you LOVE your Boobies...
