kris10kay & ctracey1785, Here is what I state on our website: Traveling to our wedding to be apart of our special day is the greatest gift that we could receive. However; upon request we have been asked to create a registry for those that would like to purchase a gift in lieu of travel. Thank you in advance for your gift. With Love and Appreciation Chanel & Derick

You are more than welcome. I'll comb through some more stuff on my hard drive and see if there's more that I can send. Kona is a handsome one. How many pounds is he currently! Our little one tentatively named "Optimus Prime" will not join us until the 21st of Jan but my son is all the more excited because we get to read etc.. on boxers to prepare for his arrival. Any pointers are greatly appreciated so fill up my email ;-)

Please check your email as I sent several to you. email address is the same as my name here [email protected]

Morning my friends, Nothing major to update, no DIYs done (winding down is a great thing), however; I like to report that after many calls, emails and long telephone conversations WE HAVE FOUND A BREEDER, whom we all feel comfortable with. AKC registered etc... I can go on and on but for the sake of time and forum space will not. Although we will not have our new family addition home for Christmas, we will be with him every step of the way via pictures, updates and visits as often as we would like. So on Sunday the 18th at 3pm we will continue our journey by visiting the mom & dad along with 7 puppies (4 of which are male). Jeremiah (my son) is so excited to be able to pick from the 4 males and he will be the first (besides the family) to have laid eyes on the little ones who were born Nov 22, 2011 to Cassius and Lily. I introduce to you, Shakespere, Angus, Brutus and Phoenix (names giving by their caretakes as pup 1 etc.. was not an option). I will definitely follow-up on Sunday after our 3pm visit. Have a grand day my friends!

Mca1116, Congrats and to our wonderful forum. Nov although to you seems close is quite a ways off for MP but I never heard of waiting until 90 days to get menus (unless they plan on changing foods). However; I'm not too sure if you have viewed the forum in its entirety but they menus are listed here. Also, I'm sure that we can email them to you. As far as locations, many of us that have our locations booked had to fight to get this done (and it wasn't easy) and some still don't have locations books. You have a little under a year so this IMO wouldn't be the primary focus especially if your day is filled with 8 weddings like our day is.

Never downplay your feelings as ndvidul has eluded to in the previous post. Tell him how this made you feel so that you can get this off of your chest, and so that he can understand. From there, he will know exactly what he needs to do. Wishing you all the best and hoping you feel better about the situation soon.

Summer12, I would feel the exact same way that you do and I probably would have fussed etc.. but there was a reason that they broke up prior to him being able to give her the ring. We all have a past history (some stories greater in length than others & outcomes being very different) but to say "I want bigger because she had" or vice versa is not how I believe that anyone getting married should start off. Yes, my ego would be a little tarnished as he has witnessed yours but YOU alone are marrying a great man with dynamic in-laws whose stepping up in so many ways for you and your family. That to me is what matters not the size of your ring. You have more in him (from what I have read) that he would not be able to afford in putting in a ring. You have a man that cares about you, and your family to the fullest... that my friend has no karat size related. IMO of course.

Welcome welcome welcome to the best thread on this forum (I am totally biased though;-) IMO the top priority would be to SET your budget, get our your STDs (save the dates), have your website ready (if you plan to do one), and decide whether you will use a TA, do thing on your own, or go direct with MP, having this done will allow you and your guest to plan payments accordingly.

4 bottles of Stella down about to grab another....Great, great conversation had with FI and I feel so so so sos.......much better. And instantly, my headache was gone. I called off my girls night today (I just wasn't in the mood), and FI got off early (nothing but God). So we were in the house together at 7pm (this is a record breaker). I could sense something was wrong (beyond what was already wrong) and kept pressing. Well he had an issue because I printed the programs without his daughter's name in their but in the same breathe dismissed my cousin's name like I didn't have feelings about it because she wasn't my child. Why did he do that? Still pissed from 2 days ago (I'm an Aries I carry things for a while), I just let it all out but in a very calm manner. You ladies know the story but just as I told him, she had more than ample enough time and so did you. How many times did I tell this man that come Dec 9th I will no longer be able to print in bulk without my job knowing it was me...hmm and I report directly to the CEO.. dude really? As I told him you knew everything as I kept you informed so please don't act like this was a surprise. If you have an issue go and talk to your daughter and her mom as I don't want to hear it. I ended my convo with "I am the the mother bleep Bride to be" and the only time that I felt like a true bride to be during this entire planning process is when I went to say Yes to the dress. What about me and my feelings? What about my sacrifices? And you truly think that at this time I give a rats ass and will run after people. I'm not doing it, not anymore! I need to enjoy this process or it will not be done, your call? Tears were shed from both sides, FI hugged me, gave me the kiss on my forehead that I love and said 'I am truly sorry and went to list all the things he was sorry for" including him not doing his part financially for the wedding. Wow...this was big But of course I have my thick skin on at this present time, so I need to see action. So until said time, the wedding projects will still remained boxed up in the spare bedroom. Now that doesn't mean that I will not do projects, it simply means that everything will be done when he is not home and put back. I mean, I want him to progress right... EXACTLY ;-) Toodles

Hey Ladies, First I SOOOOOOO want to thank each of your for your words off encouragement and for "having my back" It's amazing what we as women have come together to get done and we have never laid eyes on each other. THANK YOU for making this forum, DIYing, etc.. so much fun. You ladies don't know how much I look forward to sharing with the ladies of the MP2012 forum. Each of you ROCK! Well, ladies I grabbed me a six pack of Stella (taking a quick weekend break- well okay maybe a day break from my Hennessy), and I'm going to respond to a few breeders and then chill out. BTW I ordered a ton of doggie stuff from Amazon (I was comparing prices from ebay to amazon), and I also ordered my lil man the new DC 52 comic book set (yup he will get 52 comic books). I wanted to have a lil more under well around our "non tree" I also set-up for my god children to come over Christmas night so they can all play with the puppy etc.. so I ordered their gifts as well. And guess what for all the items that I purchased I paid $205. Sweet... Have a great weekend ladies.

TGIF ladies, TGIF indeed ;-) Well we know that this has been a trying week for FI & I yet, by the Grace & Mercy of God we are pulling through. I wanted to thank you for allowing me to vent (some via email, phone;-) & by way of this forum). It wasn't until this week that I understood why people would say "that planning a wedding brings out the worst in people" however; unfortunately I do now. I think, well I know the part that bothered me the most are the sacrifices that I have made along with my giving nature, and the fact that I totally felt that I was being taking advantage of. But just as my mom said "Sometimes you have to take a step back, so that others will take a step forward. Because all too often, people will continue to allow you to do, in order for them to hold onto their own." Because of the way that I am built, I don't take kindly to people of this nature (and I let it be known) but that's me. So step back I did (although I'm struggling with that as I'm a doer by nature). So, with a non-DIYing house as everything and I do mean EVERYTHING is packed up along with no "visual" perception that I am wedding planning things are gradually being done. I can go on and on about why men wait to do stuff etc.. but I dont' think this forum has enough room LOL My future step-daughter even sent me a text asking what my son wants for Christmas (baffling). With that alone I had to remind myself that FI & I are the ones to be married and although this is very urgent to us, to others it is not nor will it be no matter how angry you get. So, this morning (the last day of my bulk printing for work reasons), I came in at 7 to print off our guestbook notecards (these are 8 different 4x6 cards with 4 different butterfly pictures & 4 different Beachy/Cancun pictures, that the guest will leave their wedding wishes. I will have them laminated after all is said and done to preserve them.-see below) and the 2nd page of our wedding program which list the bridal party etc..however my step-daughter's name or my cousin's name are included nor will there be a reprint. Have a great weekend ladies....oh and yes, when I get home these will be boxed up ~This has our wedding date interwined in the long portion of the letter "g" although hard to see on this picture. ~The pink is my personal fave ~Beachy scene ~The back of every card.
