Shan, I love love love Nizuc! PROS: it's close to all the gazebos (Tucan and Chapel) it's very close to the Grand side (no need for golf carts or taking the bus) it's no where near as crowded as Sunrise (it was just too crowded for my liking) and too many damn mosquitoes on that side.. I got bit up on the Lake Terrace on the Romantic Dinner You can always walk or catch the bus to Sunrise... For our group of 66 it was perfect and everyone had a great view. Truly unless you are drunk, sleep or changing your clothes much time isn't spent in the room. Most rooms look alike regardless if they have a hammock or chairs (Grand has very nice rooms). So basically, I judges on the ease of getting chairs, finding a spot in the pool etc..

Hola Chicas:-) I ran into Emily(beatyea) while she sat outside of my window on her horse drawn carriage. How ironic is that? I asked if she was Emily and she said yes. Just wanted to check in quickly. All is going very well for us and the people are fab. We decided not to upgrade to Moon and chill but we ran into a couple staying on the moon grand side and they love it! We will try to venture to sunrise in the am but who knows if we will get there lol. We have 6 guest here so far 2 yesterday & 4 today and they love it!!! Massages were OMG great!!! We did this 90 minute presentation MP was offering to sell memberships we got an extra 300 spa credits and $100 for tours :-) My meeting today with Valeria was great. We will have a 4hr reception she will not charge for the extra hour but after that she will. Only charged $65 for set-up & offered great ideas. She had all of our stuff that was passed on from previous communication except menu choice which was easy. Arrecfies cant handle 66 people so on Friday we are having welcome cocktails with our own bar on the terrace instead from 6:30-8:30. She will also do the set-up for that. She didn't say anything about Ivan & knows that I got him a room.and I said nothing about the flowers with Marvin. Since our room is so close to the gazebo she will pick me & the flower girls up and take us to the Nizuc Lobby we will take the long way so that our guest will not see me and we can have a longer ride. All if our add on was $1152 ($12 per person set-up on the rooftop), 2 guest passes, horse & carriage, $65 set-up love her and she greeted with with a big hug. Whoever had her will be elated. Bey ladies FI & I arrived on the resort about 2 today. We are on the Nizuc, side s s was greeted with a cool & I received a flower. Once we sat down to begin the check-in process we were given champagne. EVERYone was do nice!! Our room is very close to the Tucan gazebo (sweet deal) and we ate about a 4-5 minute walk Moon grand where we will have our reception. I love it... It's large. The rooms are a good size no complaints but balconies small on Nizuc. This is the oldest side but still nice. Yet when we found both the Tucan Gazebo & the Rooftop...I'm in love with the outside of the grand. We will visit tomorrow & may move depending on the $$ we will still be close to our guest. Thanks Jamie:/) We are at the airport, flight at 9:45!! Ladies make sure you check baggage fees and pack well. Was almost able to check only 4 bags (who actually remembers what's in each bag)? Well my cake server was in the one we were going to check so the options were after everyone said congratulations were to leave it it check my bag. You know what I chose!! Here's a long but "pay attention" Update My oh my, we fly out tomorrow.....YAY!!! With 5 bags in tow, this Bride-to-be is ready to go, go, go. But before I do, I wanted to simply advise to "Keep all of your receipts EVERY TIME you pay for your gown. That leads to my good day turned into a semi nightmare... We fly out tomorrow the 17th so today was filled with: 1) Take my mom grocery shopping as she will house sit when my her and my son returns on the 22nd. 7am 2) Had to sign off on my employees time card (electronically) 8:30-9:00@ 3) Dentist Appt :915@ 4) Pick up my puppy at home and take him to the Pet Hotels & Villas after he sun bathed for 10 minutes in the back @10:45 Running early.. YAY..... 4) this was to be item 5 At the Spa for wax, mani, & pedi..done at 1 5) This was to be item 6.. dress pick-up.... at 1:40 Now this leads to some moments followed by someone is going to get Went in, happy, excited etc.... 1 person got my sash, then got my dress.. showed me how to hang it, etc. Then it was time to sign the paper saying that I picked up my dress. In bright yellow highlights with red it said balance $523.. it can't be as I paid my balance in full on 3/26/12 (receipt in my green folder at home-I never toss items until every thing is complete.) The same lady I gave payment to, DENIED me doing so. I asked to use the computer to bring up my account. She refused, down stairs I go where Debbie reluctantly put me on a computer. With tears in my eyes, blurry from trying to hold them back... Ha I couldn't remember my log-on, nor do I know what credit card I used... I went to my car and balled my eyes out (really I know I paid, have my receipt this heffers are testing me and not doing anything about it.) I went back in, paid and said I will call you when I get home. I didn't even take my dress out of the car before I grabbed my green folder, pulled my receipt and called. Guess What? They applied my payment to someone else. This was discovered after I requested that she go line by line... when there was a "button added over top of a zipper charge for $100, some other charge for $550 etc.. I caught it... she asked me for the ticket number and put me on hold. Came back and said OMG I am so sorry please fax this over and we will take care of it. Now ladies, I work in NJ and live in Philly. I just came from Jersey and hour away to pick up my dress.. do you think I was going to go out of my way to fax them a piece of paper.. NADA. I took pictures and emailed them. No later than 2 minutes after that was done, they were calling to APOLOGIZE, WE ARE SO SORRY, PLEASE HAVE A GOOD WEDDING ETC.. and that the manager will refund me on Wednesday when he is in. Woosah.... all of them better be lucky that I will be in Mexico on Wednesday. However; this isn't over!! Upon my return I will be speaking with the manager to request that my alterations that was had be refunded in its entirety. That is the least they can do after I spent $$$. UPDATES UPDATES & not a good one! Esty Vendor: SugarRobot Item" Edible Butterflies that I was going to use as Escort Cards" Stated production time: 3-5 business days Item Purchased March 8th (prior communications had before purchasing) Item "marked" for delivery March 28th (NEVER received)..tracking information was useless as I believe he/she never did them. He/She advised that they would "re-do" them and have them to me by today April 14th (which I did receive) PROS: The item is gorgeous and they smell great. Inexpensive CONS: The vendors production time was not what was stated The vendor during our whole communication NEVER personalized the experience, so much so that I don't know if I was dealing with a man or woman The vendor noticed I was pissed and only then offered to "redo" them and have them expediated The vendor Flubbed BIG time: *Two names are misspelled *THERE ARE NO TABLE NUMBERS OR ANY OF THE DAMN BUTTERFLIES how will anyone know what table they are supposed to be at. After checking my list of what was sent, I made no mistakes. So I contacted the vendor at 12:30pm and have YET to receive a response. So what's a girl to do? Well, she did give 4 blank butterflies (really) so I will go to Michaels tomorrow to find a very nice pin to see how it would look if I wrote the table numbers on the butterflies. If it's a go, then my review on Etsy will be a little less harsh. If not, I will BLAST HER/HIS ass. Also if not, I will simply have these placed at the tables that each person will be sitting and unfortunately, will either send an email or a Facebook message to advise them of the table they are sitting at. I know that my guest doesn't care, but I DO. Recommendation. If you deal with this vendor, I would highly suggest that you start 3 months before your date. But truly, find someone else. SO without further complaint (I'm so not done venting LOL) here are a few pictures. Again gorgeous and fits with our theme but No TABLE numbers.

You are too kind. I actually found, after tons of searching a picture of this. Yup, a picture! However; both FI and I like it so much that we will find someone to make it for us. Hi my Lovely one....how's life as a Mrs. Treating you? I was looking at the weather via this wedding thing that I signed up for ages ago and they are talking about rain even on the wedding day... at first I was a little down but there is two things that I know: 1) Weather is subject to change & 2) What God has for me it is for me... so with that I got excited again.. ;-) I humbly thank you for your compliments and can't wait until it's all over so that I can RELAX... whew. , It's so funny how time has truly flown by over the past few months! I'll update you ladies as much as I can while there but know that FI is trying to take my phone already even before we get there. So, if you don't hear a peep...know that he accomplished he goal which he doesn't drink.....so he's ALWAYS sober... me on the other hand...wellllllllllllll..... Jamie....hi honey I miss you too! YAY.... headed out Tuesday morn and so excited. Had lunch with my flower girl and her family today, as we both were shopping at Nordstroms and ran into each other. They are so excited and my FG tells everyone she meets "I'm a flower girl in Aunt Chanel's wedding and it's in Mexico." The saleswoman said where in Mexico? She said, It's just Mexico... LOL gotta love 5 yr old's. My shopping minus 1 pair of shorts is done.. so I will pack tomorrow after I get my hair done. Monday.. 9:00a dentist appt. to rebuild 2 teeth that I apparently grind at night. but with my braces off, teeth whitened and the retainer (ugh) that won't be a problem anymore. 11am dropping off my little Cesar at the puppy hotel , 1pm pick up my dress.... so freaking excited and 3pm wax, mani & pedi..... UPDATES, UPDATES Etsy Vendor: FineHandMadeClothing. Person Irene Well my son's suit came in this week finally! I say finally because we received notification that it was sent on the first but never received it. Come to find out it was in the back of her car. So instead of getting here on the 7th it came on the 10th. The quality is amazing but the fit in the butt and hips are a little snug. Irene is very nice and was willing to fix the suit, however we leave Tuesday morning so that wasn't possible, yet she still offered to fix it once we came back (umm defeats the purpose) Anyway, I took the suit to our local dry cleaners whom we have a weekly relationship with.. and she's able to take it out in the areas needed but it's not likely that my son will fit the suit by the end of the summer. Cost for all $196 for the suit and $19 for an alterations. Recommendations look elsewhere! I'm sure that there are cheaper options out there that will last longer than a one time use. Chances are I will try to sell the suit or donate it. Pictures taking in my 11yr old junking room....

Yay, yay Awesome! Our room block is at Nizuc which is pretty cool as so many brides are on the Sunrise side so that is will give us a nice break. The price to upgrade I believe is $300 for resort credits. I got approval and my refund prior to going... we qualified for the 7 free nights and upgraded room. Which my TA received our $1800 back well over a month or so ago. If you meet the room nights they already have that on file. Joannis, and many of the off-site (not in Mexico) coordinators work there. They are the ones to help you in the initial stages as you do not talk to your On-site (Mexico) coordinator until 90 days but usually less. They all work for moon palace just located in different locales. Sweet deal, way to go Shan! I totally wish they had some extra goodies for 100 room nights.. we are at 105 (some people added on extra days) and it totally feels like I'm giving them extra money (by way of guest) without getting more free stuff LOL Are you going to do anything extra since you are at 100 nights Yay, yay, yay... read it..
