  1. My BM's all have different sizes 3-12 and body types and all of them love theirs! I think one thing that helped was that I picked the dresses about nine months before the big day in order for all the girls to have time to get comfortable with them and find out which way they like them best! I know that boob support has been a big subject of talk though, all the girls deciding if they are really comfortable wearing nothing or working with convertible bras. I hope the hot pink ones end up working for you!
  2. This is hard to respond, because all of us are going to give you reasons on why we chose our resort! LOL But I think more important then just getting our suggestions is to first find out what you need/want from your resort and wedding. That will give you a great start. How many guests are you inviting/expecting? How important is privacy? AI or not? Activities? Nightlife? Culture? Things like that will help get you in the right direction. Then we will be able to give our recomendations if they fit your needs! P.s. I chose Coral Cove Resort because we wanted privacy, culture, and a feel for the often "unseen" part of Jamaica!
  3. I TOTALLY agree with you! I had my sister, sister-in-law and good friend with me and it made all the difference! They made me feel beautiful, confident, and I knew they were helping me to look the best I could! And Missy...we have the same wedding date in Jamaica! woohoo I am planing on giving him the pictures in Jamaica right before we tie the knot! I agree that this is the best surprise I have ever done for him!
  4. Wow! those were a lot of great photos! I felt like a creeper looking through so many of them! lo But with just eight days to go I am just so excited to be in Jamaica!
  5. SOOO...tonight My sister and her friend who made the "seashell veil" are coming over to my house to see me try it on with my dress. My nerves are a wreck! I know that I need to figure out what I am going to do with the situation. I am really stressing about this but know that once I deal with it I will feel much better
  6. Congrats abby! So exciting that all of us are leaving now!
  7. Congrats Jenni! What a wonderful decision you made with Jamaica!
  8. I agree that once we opened our eyes to Jamaica, I knew it was the right choice! To me, Jamaica seemed like a true "destination" and a trip that I probably wouldn't make unless it was for my DW! i also felt confident that Jamaica is a very safe country and found the hotels very reasonably priced. good luck!
  9. I love seeing so many future Jamaican Brides! Since we leave in just 12 days(woohoo) these are the activities we are planning on: Day trip shopping in Negril Deep Sea fishing(my fiance not me) Visit to a local elementary school to give them school supplies Visit to a mineral hole and mineral pool Visit to a waterfall and bat caves Horse back riding Blue Mountain bike Tour and...the WEDDING!!! Since it is just the two of us, we don't need to worry about entertaining guests so we will spend our time exploring the country!
  10. QueenDiva- both of us will be basking in the Jamaican sun at the same time! I arrive on May 5th!
  11. I don't know if people pay attention...but it might be a little weird if someone did know the song and lyrics. But if that is the song that you really want...go for it. laugh about it later if anyone mentions it!
  12. Congrats! i, too love your veil and hair comb! You will make a beautiful bride! Our wedding date is only one day away from each other! So from Jamaica, i will think of you on the 6th! My wedding is the 7th! Can't wait to see your review upon your return!
  13. Wow thank you for four options. Thank you all for your help. It looks like you all agree that if i don't like it and feel uncomfortable in it, I should find a way break it gently.
  14. that is another route I didn't think of..just saying I forgot it! Thank you for your input
  15. That is actually a good idea. i never considered saying that I already bought one. I am definitely going to have to think about that.
  16. I know I don't want to just disregard it! It's just odd to me that someone would make a bride a veil without her input! I think it can be but with so little time I am freaking out!
  17. Great job! I like how yours are much bigger then mine!
  18. Wow! You have done such a great job! So proud of all my fellow May 2011 brides!
  19. I am having an AHR and I am wearing that dang dress again! lol
  20. Thanks so much for your review! I love hearing from fellow Jamaican brides! I would love to see some pictures if you get a chance!
  21. I am glad you all liked the spice idea! i have finally finished making them and I have to tell you they are too cute! Love them! We have a label on top of the tins that show two fish kissing with our names and wedding date under it! we then put them in small colored organza bags from Michaels and attached a cute thank you tab! I love them!
  22. I think a lot of people will have different opinions on this, but I don't ever think asking for money is tasteful. The guests that want to give you money will whether you register or not. For those who prefer to give gifts, surely you can think of a few things that would be nice. And if you register for somewhere like Target then you can always return what you don't need and use it towards households supplies. Just my thought
  23. Awesome! For being a "frugal" bride, i don't think one guest will notice! You got so many great things! It's great to hear when another bride with a budget be able to do so much! Congrats!
  24. Looks great! You are far ahead of me for having seven months to go! Good for you!
