  1. Finding a photographer I was comfortable with one of my top priorities! Once that was secured it was like a sigh of relief!
  2. There are a lot of great options of on-island photographers as well as destination photographers. I think the most important thing is that their portfolios speak to you! You will probably end up spending more but in the end most brides are happy that they went with the experienced photographers! Good luck! P.s. I hired Misha Earle from Jamaica..she has been very professional and great!
  3. Hi Jamie! I am going to Jamaica this May-was it uncomfortably hot? Did you slather on sunblock and wear hats?
  4. Wow! never even thought to look if my e-ring was changing color. But now i have noticed the underneath is turning more yellowish and there are a lot of scratches on it (oops!) I have just put a reminder in my phone to get it cleaned up before the DW!
  5. I am doing a boudoir photo book for my future hubby! I am so excited! The shoot is in two weeks!
  6. I'm going with just letting it go...too many other things to stress about as a bride-to-be!
  7. Just got our custom linen suit yesterday and the hubby tried it on last night! First, I was really impressed the quality of the suit! All the stitching looked very good and the material was nice. We added the extra layer on the pants which was a good idea. otherwise it would have been slightly see-through.Second, the fit was all WRONG! The pants were way tight even though we added an extra inch to the wait and the pants quite short. Overall, the suit looked tight. I am hoping there is enough room to get this altered. Third, there are shoulder pads that I wasn't aware of. So make sure to measure the shoulder measurement well. Lastly, we went with the Natural Linen color which has a definite yellow undertone to it. It should look completely different in the natural sunlight of Jamaica though. We are happy with the quality and my fiance says that the suit is very comfortable. So now we just need to see if the alterations can be made. hope this helps!
  8. I just bought a bulk jamaican jerk seasoning from a local restaraunt supply store and filled each tin. There were also a lot of online options by just googling "Jamaican Jerk Seasoning"
  9. What a beautiful wedding! It looks like everything went off without a hitch! Congrats!
  10. Yep! That is what I am doing! I bought mini tins with a personalized sticker on it and will fill it with Jamaican seasoning. I have a tag that lets my guests know i want them to bring a little "jamaican heat" into their homes with a recipe on the back and tying it in a bright organza bag!
  11. I am also going with the birdcage...but I am going with feathers, bling and a small bit of netting. You might want to try some on at stores..the real birdcage veils were uncomfortable b/c they were brushing against my eyelashes!
  12. Wow! Your ceremony pictures brought tears to my eyes when the picture of your hand upon his cheek appeared. I watched your entire slideshow and it looks like you had the most beautiful wedding! I also loved your TTD choice and how natural your hair and makeup was. Stunning!
  13. Congrats! it is so exciting once you know that you have found "the one" LOL
  14. Your pictures are beautiful! So many great ideas of creative shots! I am using a fellow Portland photographer for our reception...Nate Broshot! Congrats on all the great work!
  15. WOW!! Your pictures are PERFECT! Your TTD in particular are exactly the look I am going for as well! Now, your only problem is going to be deciding which ones to get framed for hanging around your house!
  16. Hey Ladies! I am getting worried...I ordered the custom suit over a month ago and it still hasn't arrived! I have not even received a tracking number or anything. Has this happened with any one?
  17. I love this dress! My dress also has a removable skirt...so much fun!
