After seeing it on her, my vision all came together in my mind with flowers & using brighter colors as accents. So, I casually started looking at dresses while everyone was getting measured. I really had no intentions on even trying one on and then I ended up trying on a few. It's completely true that you know as soon as you put it on. I'm pretty much a plain Jane and didn't want anything too fancy. So, here it is: Chiffon Split Front A-line - David's Bridal I'm bummed because I didn't have my camera with me and my cell phone pics didn't turn out the best. I'll try to post it later. Congrats on finding your dress! I know the feeling of surprising yourself. I found my dress by chance as well. But like they say- You just know it's right!

  5. Wow they look fantastic! I am making luggage tags too! Except I am making them from fabric. Once I get some finished I will post a photo.

    hello!

Welcome and congrats on your upcoming wedding! I am sure you will find lots of useful information on this site!

Did any of you switch TAs and is there any special etiquette for doing it? It comes down to price for me...and I don't want my sister's friend to do all this work for nothing...so if she can save me $$$ I would switch....Thanks I would think if your sister's friend can get a better price, tell your TA at destinationweddings you want the best possible price. If she can't get that price, what can she possibly do to help elsewhere? Perhaps get you a better price for your wedding package? If she can't match it, I would say go with your sister's friend, since your guests will appreciate the best prices available.

  11. So many beautiful dresses! I had planned on a very simple chiffon gown, but wasn't finding the 'one'. Then accidentally passed a gown, tried it on and fell in love. Here's a link for it. Eventually once I get it altered (since it is much to long for me) I will post pictures of me in it! http://72.232.198.18/manufcols/prono...om/Deseo_B.jpg http://72.232.198.18/manufcols/prono...om/Deseo_A.jpg
  12. Still trying to figure this one out myself. I think our hotel charges to have them delivered to the room. So might try and have the front desk hand them out at check-in or go hand them out ourselves as our guests arrive.

    hello all

Welcome! I know I have gained a lot of information thanks to the site. Best wishes for your wedding.
  14. Hi Lisa. Welcome and good luck on your wedding planning. I live in Toronto as well, and I think the most important part of getting a good deal for the resort is finding a great Travel Agent who knows how to do that. My FI and I found a TA who deals only with Destination Weddings and they have been amazing at getting us those extra perks and a great price for our guests. Not sure if I can post the name in the forum, so if you want the travel agency name, just PM and I will send along the info. Best of luck!
  15. Welcome Natasha! I am busy planning my wedding in the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. And when we return we are throwing two receptions, one in Toronto and one in Ottawa. Right now I am barely keeping up with the wedding planning. But this site has been a wealth of information! Good luck and let us know what you decide!
  16. Welcome! I am sure you will find all the info and more you could ever ask for. Good luck with your planning.
  17. Looks like a wonderful idea! Can't wait to be able to open it up and read more. I'm just wondering....how has everyone made this wonderful wedding logos? Is there a program somewhere? Or is everyone really artistic, except me? LOL
  18. Thanks so much for the idea of making a template. I was going to put chapsticks into our OOT bags...but it will be much better with our own personal label! Love all these great ideas!

How exciting...we'll have to chit chat some more I had wanted a very simple chiffon dress, v-neck, with a low back. I completely surprised myself by buying a very romantic lace number. http://72.232.198.18/manufcols/prono...om/Deseo_B.jpg Miriam
