Here's hoping the weather improves! ( I actually work as an air traffic controller, and it's been very odd the last few days, since there are so many flights 'missing', but I am sure once the weather improves the skies will fill up quickly) Have a hot soup! That's what am I trying to do. Fills you up, and is warm, but fewer calories -

We leave on January 19...and I am now realizing there is still so much to do! LOL I have lists everywhere. Most of it are little details, that if they don't get done it won't really matter, so that makes it a little less stressful. But I still need to find shoes!! Better get onto that Good luck to all the January brides! -
I didn't have much time to relax. I worked an early day shift, then ran home to grab FI's bass guitar and watch without him knowing (since he was working the evening shift). Then drove straight to the studio. I did have a nice cup of tea while Erin did my hair and makeup- that helped! The big thing is laying out the outfits ahead of time. I had a bag stashed in the closet so that FI didn't see it, but then I wasn't panicing about what to pack the day of. Don't forget jewelery or other items you want...like the garter (cute idea!).

The ruffle underwear is from Victoria Secrets. Love the jingle bells! Hee hee. Depending on where you live there are a few stores in the Toronto area, but not sure if they are elsewhere. If you're outside of town, I could mail you a pair The other blue set is from La Vie en Rose. The feather boa (they had a bunch at the studio) but this was my own one, that the girls got me for my stagette! I also wore a robe, and a black outfit, but I don't have the photos back yet.

Think the age is 18 for the adult pool. There are 2 other swim up bars I can think of (3 including the adult pool), so no worries there. The other pools are larger as well, so you may find ther is more room and choice of lounge chairs around the other pools. Nervous about how everything is going to work since my DJ (DJ is FI sisters' boyfriend which works out for us) is now without a room and i don't want to pay another $500. Last minute people are irritating. But do you ladies know of nice resorts near by? Wow, can't believe they are sold out. I would agree with Merdith, try calling the resort itself-or even just try the online booking on their website. If not, Secret Silversands is right next door, and quite nice.(adults only-I think) Good luck.

Thanks Lisa. You should so do it! I brought about 5 different outfits with me. And Erin was amazing. The studio is in a house in Milton. And they have about 6 different backdrops and all sorts of props (chairs, couches, mirrors, coffee table, fireplace, boas, hats, etc.) I was so nervous when I got there, but Erin got busy doing my makeup and she is so chill, that totally relaxed me. The best part is she will give you so many suggestions it was so easy. I managed to sneak some of Luke's (FI) stuff to the shoot with me to incorporate them into the pics- the bass guitar and the watch! Now just waiting to see the rest! It was just Erin doing the makeup and photography. There were other people in the house, but they did not interupt. She did have one girl come in at one point to hold a fan for us, but she asked permission. It's also so up to you, how far you go. They will work with anything! I started in a robe (just I was nervous as hell), and then as I got more comfortable I managed to get a little more risky It was a lot of fun! As for the teasers, I got these back within days, but I have to wait another 3-4 weeks for the rest.

We managed to offer our guests two options for dinner...but we do have to give them numbers by late December. We did have to fight to add on an extra course from a different menu, but we were successful. I think we are doing set menu 2, but an add on from set menu 4. I don't want to disappoint anyone, but I do not believe there was any Grey Goose. We specifically asked, and were told if we wanted that specific brand that the hotel would bring it in, but we would be charged. That being said they do have Stoli (Stolichnaya vodka) which is also a highend brand. Overall we were pleased with the selection of premium beverages, and of course your daily stocked mini fridge with beer, pop and water! There is a small area (closer to the beach) that's called Zavas terrace(?) I know that's only for smaller groups. But the actually Zavaz plaza (which is between buildings 1 and 3) will hold I believe up to 80. I think the WC must be referring to this, since there is nothing on the family side to do receptions. We have 60-ish people for Zavas plaza confirmed there, with no problems.

In your opinion do you think Zavas plaza would be more protected? Maybe we should burn citronella! We stayed at the resort in April, and I can't remember seeing one mosquito. But it was quite windy while we were there, so perhaps that's why. But we are travelled a fair bit in the area, and I can't really say I have ever had a problem....and mosquitos Love me! LOL

Any 2011 Brides out there?

Unfortuantely I don't know where to get glass etched. The only thing I can think of is those engraving stores in the mall- Things Engraved. -
What size are the pashminis?

What size is the turquoise ribbon? And how much do you have? -
We were down in April and both my FI and I are foodies, and we choose Sensatori for this reason. It is by far the best food we have had at an all inclusive. The breakfast and lunches were the norm, but the Italian and Le Chique are fabulous! (secret-Le Chique just got voted into the top 20 restaurants in ALL of Mexico. And only the guests of the hotel can access it) The Mexican restaurant and the wood burning pizza oven were great for lunch! Quote: Originally Posted by 1106wedding Dirty! However when you do a private event, ie. dinner reception the same chairs are used and the white covers are included. We just got legally married on the weekend. We really tried to play it down a little, but it made it very special, since my mother (who is in a nursing home and can't come south) was able to watch us get married. We found a judge who was kind enough to come down to the nursing home and perform the ceremony in front of her. We had my FI parents, sister (also can't come to Mexico, since she will be over 8 months pregnant) and brother-in-law, and 2 very close family friends attend. It was beautiful and I can't wait to do it again. The ironic part....(and it wasn't planned), but our legal ceremony was 12.4 (Dec 4) and Mexico will be 1.24 (Jan 24)=the same numbers! So we plan on doing the symbolic ceremony, but other than a few people, no one knows we are already legally married. And we are trying to keep it that way!
