Unfortunately, there is no straight forward answer. One depends on your onsite WC; Two- depends on the number of decorations/difficulty to set up; Three number of guests. I think I was told plan for $5-7 per guest. There is just the ONE fee though. And your WC in Miami is not allowed to set a price, only the onsite one can. If I remember correctly we paid $150 US cash to set up for 63 guests. ( so we averaged about $3/person) This included hanging lanterns for ceremony, lanterns at reception, menu and name cards, centrepieces, seating assignment table, kids activity book/crayons and guest signing table. But I also know girls who had less stuff, about the same number of guests and paid $225. And just remember to take CASH to pay for this. Also don't know when you plan on handing out the OOT bags, but the hotel charges you $6/bag should you want them to give them to the guests or deliver to their rooms. We just made sure to meet all our guests as they arrived and gave them their OOT bags ourselves. Hope that helps.

Show us your wedding dress!

LOVE the train on this dress! Beautiful! I had a Pronovias as well, and they truly are wonderful gowns. Congrats on your wedding! -
I agree with the girls. We did the Free Wedding and just added on items we wanted. It ended up being cheaper for us that way. The only thing was to qualify for the Free Wedding we had to book into a premium room. I don't believe this! Both of us are Canadian and we got the Free Sweetheart Wedding. Originally we were booked for the silver package, and after reviewing what we wanted, we realized the Free package was plenty and we just added on the flowers and a few other small details. The only thing to get the free wedding was we had to book into a premium room. But we figured spend the extra money on the nicer room/perks and not on the wedding items we didn't want. Also I would compare the Free/Pearl/Silver/Gold packages and see what you actually want/need. If the Free would work, I simply told my WC that we were switching (I didn't ask- I just told her!) and there was no problem. But of course knowing Lomas, they have pulled and quick one and changed the rules again. But I would try for it! Good luck.

I realize lavender is your wedding color, but the luggage tag looks a little washed out. So personally I like the original- could you do the text in lavender? And good luck with the frame. Maybe paint the frame lavender and glue some beach theme items onto it (wooden starfish, palm tree, etc- that have been painted gold?)

The other girls have really given a lot of the plus sides to AS. The only things I would add: The rooms are modern and nicely furnished. The staff is outstanding! They truly are a wonderful crew. If there are kids coming to the wedding, the kids club is one of the best I have ever seen. The kids at our wedding were constantly bugging their parents to go to the kids club. (which the parents loved-since they then truly had their own vacation) The kids club also has a night program (7-9:30pm) so the parents were able to enjoy a quiet dinner to themselves or join other friends. The resort is also really easy to get to. From Cancun airport it's only a 20 minute drive (while some resorts further south can be upwards of 1 1/2h drive.) It is also located in the middle between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. This is nice since it's easy for your guests to get to either location if they choose. And yes, if you're a foodie- this is by far the best all-inclusive resort I have ever been to. (we travel multiple times a year, and have been so impressed with AS that we have been back now 4 times) Le Chique is simply amazing, it's the type of high end place you would expect to find in New York or Chicago....not Mexico! Good luck with your choice!

Beautiful photos! And I adore your chair streamers...such a great idea. Did you make them yourself? We specifically asked our guests not to bring gifts. A few people got us cards with well wishes. We did however have at home reception for a lot of friends/family who could not attend. Again we asked for no gifts, but were overwhelmed by the generousity of our guests.

Depending on the airline and the plane now, there is often not even a first class closet anymore! So don't count on this as an option. Be prepared to put the dress on top of your bags in the overhead compartment. Just try to lay it as flat as possible. (My dress was lace, and it didn't wrinkle at all, even though I had to fold it in half. Don't remember who was flying Sunwing- But they DO NOT have closets anymore! Like someone else said, try to board the plane at the start. Then at least you get room in the overheard compartment, and can close it. Usually people will only put stuff in when the door is still open. Good luck ladies! In terms of the alternate locations: We were told of 2 1) a ballroom (which would also be used for the reception) 2) the back deck of the lobby, overlooking the resort. (it's where the nightly show happens) It's actually quite a nice spot (and the one that someone posted a photo of)

http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/gallery/image/view/album/8977/id/28178/sort/display_order Try this link- it's the one photo I have of Zocalo. (if that doesn't work, click on my user name and scroll to the bottom where I have photos, it under the Sensatori wedding sites) It's a beautiful Mexican setting, it was ideally my #1 choice. But they can only take a maximum of about 45 people, we ended up with almost 65. We loved Plaza Zavas, and really your only concern might be rain. But it doesn't rain there that often, and worst case they would move you to one of the banquet halls. Good luck!

You should not be upset at all! This will make it even more memorable. We did a destination wedding to keep it small and romantic. (personally I would have run off just hubby and me if I could have) Hmmm...not sure about the age restriction, best to check the website or talk to your TA. But you will not be able to hide the age very easilly. They are required by law to take a photo copy of your passport upon arrival, so likely they will be checking the age on the document.

Trash the Dress Photos

Very pretty! Love the ones of you floating in the still water with the waves crashing behind. -
First of all, I am so sorry to hear this news. This must be a very difficult time for you and your husband. Take some time to recover. And know that I am thinking of you both. The idea of a honeymoon right away is nice, but it's also nice to have something to look forward to later. (we went our honeymoon almost 10 months later to south east Asia) Thankfully you have insurance, so you can just plan another trip. In July (if that's when you are able to go), the caribbean is extremely hot. Could you go somewhere else? Europe maybe? Rent an Italian villa, and enjoy the great wine? If you are set on the Caribbean, look at other resorts- Sandels St. Lucia is stunning; Excellence in Punta Cana, Cuba; Rui Palace in Los Cabos, Mexico; St. Maarten is a beautiful island (we visited while on a cruise, but I don't know any resorts there directly). Yes, there is an adult only section. It's one of the buildings (there are 4 main buildings with rooms) and a pool with swim up bar. We love the Sensatori! It's a great size (only about 400 rooms), so it's big enough to find a quiet spot, yet small enough to wander around in 5 minutes and enjoy the whole resort. They also have one of the most amazing restaurants there called Le Chique. If you go, you must MUST try this. The chef was trained in Spain and does some really fun playful things with your meal. (don't expect a meat and potatoes meal. It's very different!) But hubby and I enjoyed this so much (we're foodies), that we picked this resort for our wedding, just based on this restaurant. (we also made good friends with the chef and the sous chefs) We have gone back multiple times, and always have a great time. The staff and service is wonderful, the rooms modern and nice. The only downside is the beach area. It's quite narrow, and in the water it's rocky. It's right on an old coral reef, so you have to be really careful. But if you walk down the beach (to the north) about 500 yards, there is a stunning area of white powder sand and you can walk right out to have a great swim. If there's anything else specific you'd like to know, just ask! Even though it's a family friendly resort, if given the choice between Sensatori and EDR- I would go back to the Sensatori. They are both beautiful, but I love the size and service at Sensatori.

Stina- Stunning photos! And great colours By the way I finally sent you the photos (I sent them from my hotmail account, so you may need to check your junk folder) Beautiful photos! Love the one of you in the door frame. It is just a beautiful silhouette. And the one of the two of you standing on the rocky edge by the water....LOVE it!

Wow! For someone who says she's not a DIY, you have done an outstanding job. Everything looked so professional, well thought out and elegant! This is a wonderful planning thread for new brides to be. It will certainly be an inspiration I hope the wedding was everything of your dreams! And look forward to stumbling across your pro photos once you post them. Congrats!

LOL! Well, at least you're not naked I had nightmares that my luggage would get lost. So all of my attire and hubby's attire was on the plane in carry-on. I figured if they lost my suitcase then there was always Visa! hee hee I would give her to the end of June at least- but talk to her to figure out if it's coming. Do you know her last name? You should be able to use Canada 411 to get a number if you don't want to ask you FI.

Oh goodness. What a horrible situation. I would also trying calling her to get to the bottom of it, it is your right to know if the dress is actually coming or not. The good side of this- continue to think positive, and have faith that all will be well. And two, know that if the dress has not arrived by the end of July, you live in a province where there is lots of choice for buying off the rack (if it comes to that). Best wishes, keeping my fingers crossed. And keep us posted!
