I am wearing my veil for the ceremony then a flower for the reception (changing into something less formal)

People's opinions are just that OPINIONS! I'm sure they didn't mean any harm by it. folks assume that when you get married you pull out all the stops, but when you marry its about what YOU and your future HUBBY want. Hang in there girl, I will be checking in ROR on September 6th (wedding on the 10th) and will be around till the 14th. I don't wanna see u running around the resort getting stressed because of what people think. Do what u want chica!

Do you by chance have an updated list of what is left?

That's a beautiful song, and no song is the wrong song. How does it make the two of you feel? He def. loves it, but it should be feel special to you too... UNLESS you make a mix of more than one song...it's do-able??

that's a good point, you totally CAN'T please everyone. When traveling anywhere you should always be cautious about food. On that note I will make sure to pack some goodies in the OOT bag for my vegetarian friends, almost forgot. Thanks for the reminder

Hmmm where to begin....LOL My wedding is in September at ROR. I don't know about the other ROR Brides but I am NOT feeling the Wedding Coordinator. She tends to adjust her price quotes as she sees fit. Stay on top of her, and KEEP EVERY EMAIL THAT SHE SENDS YOU, MAKE SURE YOU BRING IT TO THE RESORT! I wouldn't say regret, but I will say that I am a little disturbed at the way things are done. We are already nervous and anxious brides, we need things to run smoothly. You should check the boards for ROR reviews and see what others are saying. I am sure my day will be beautiful, but until then I have my "BULLSH*T FILTER" on and she will not get over on me. btw... beautiful name we have the same spelling!

Everything will be fine, you are already going to be in paradise, just concentrate on being you and enjoying your special day with your new hubby! Fingers are crossed for you!

Does anyone have a name/email of a DJ that is used for ROR? Keisha told me to send her a playlist and she will forward the information. She didn't tell me or give me the contact information of the DJ she was forwarding to (but she was able to quote the price...hmmm??) and besides I wasn't planning on emailing her a full playlist for 4 hours. if anything I will bring a few CD's with me. But not lay out music for the DJ.. he's getting paid to do that! so any referrals would be nice.

I hope all works out for your tiffany, i am having wedding party troubles as well. I have a MOH and 2 BM. and its a mess. my MOH and friend of 12 years has been putting me on the back burner too and hasn't been avail. for anything except for the purchase of the dresses. thats it! BUT she calls when she needs something or help setting up the 3 parties she has planned over the next few months. the kicker is my wedding is in sept. she has no roomate, has only paid a deposit, does not have air fare booked, and doesn't have passport. oh yes AND finally she just moved into a new home. The nail was kind of placed in the coffin yesterday: I had a gathering for my bday and it was only for a few hours in the early evening. when it was over and we left, she showed up at the location and had the nerve to call and say "are u still here" when i replied no she just stayed there and continued partying with no response. The way I'm gonna play it is: the deadline for final payment is next month. if she's not paid she's out. no exceptions. My other BM has been helping me out a lot. If we are short a person I will have my brother step down as Groomsman and escort me down the isle (since my mom was going to step in for my dad anyway) ughhhh hope you have more luck than me.. at the end of the day its gonna work out.

Any ROR Brides planning to marry in September? I know we are taking a big chance with the time of year but the date is important to us so we said hey why not? Anyone else plan to be at the resort in sept? I will be arriving September 6 and departing Sept 14th. Happy Planning ladies ~Ericka

Thanks! A friend of mine who is into numbers and astrology said to me jokingly " what if you got married 9-10-11 since u started dating 6--7-08" I laughed at her because we weren't even engaged yet. but though about it and said hey... why not? LOL

I am doing okay so far... booked the photographer, bridesmaid dresses are ordered, groomsmen are straight too. still deciding on flowers and entertainment. Its crazy that you have to pay for all of this stuff at an all inclusive hotel???? just gonna touch bases with the WC @ ROR and confirm my plans there since the resort has been changing around wedding times and prices... ugh! But as advised, i have allll my emails. Hope all you brides are doing well
