  1. I can't open the first aid kit template. Anyone else having trouble with that?
  2. It all looks beautiful! I love your BM's dresses. They can totally wear those again.
  3. I's recommend Dreams Puerto Aventuras. That's were my wedding will be in September. I choose it because some of my guests will be bringing children and DPA has a lot of activities set up for them. There is a kids club were they can hang out all day and be entertained. And, most importantly, there is an adult's only pool were adults can escape! I haven't been down myself yet but I hear the food is wonderful. There is gazebo for weddings that is in the ocean (the aisle is kinda a bridge). They have several indoor and outdoor reception locations and don't charge extra for them. When I was looking I found a lot of resorts make you have your reception in a corner of one the the restaurants so it's not very private, or they charge an extra $80 a person to have a private reception.
  4. I've been trying to figure that out too. Anyone have some help?
  5. Everything looks beautiful! I love the tiles for table numbers. So cute!!
  6. Wow! You did an amazing job. Your guest are really going to appreciate all of your hard work.
  7. Yea! Another DPA bride. Your going to love this site!!
  8. Hey everyone. I'm not getting married here but I did just book my honeymoon. I was wondering if any of you could tell me about what excursions are the best here. Thanks!
  9. Very cute! I was going to get those bags myself and I love the cups.
  10. Congrats Natasha! You'll have so much fun finding everything you need here!!
  11. Ok, I tried and I'm too retarded to put it all together. Do you have the template for the whole postcard?
  12. I love this idea! That's so smart doing the cards with the bookmark. I'll totally be stealing this. =) Thanks so much!!
  13. Jacy emailed me and said we can rent 5 vases for $60. Not sure that's a good deal since I found them for $3, but at least we would have to worry about packing them.
  14. What is everyone doing for center pieces? Are you bringing your own with you, renting them there, or just paying for DPA to do it all? I like these hurricane vases with shells and candles but I'm not sure if its worth bringing that much with me. What do you guys think?
  15. I think parasols whould be a good alternative too. They look great in pictures and they will probably have fun playing with them later. Another thing you can do to save costs is have your bouqets do double duty. I'm thinking of doing that myself. After the ceremony I will have someone put them into vases and they will be part of the center pieces (floral centerpeices are like $60 at my venue). So you still have to buy the bouqets but at least you will save a bit on the center pieces.
  16. I'm going to do different colors too. Tropical colors (orange and fuchsia) in Mexico for the wedding and I don't know what yet for the AHR. It will be in my parents backyard so I don't think they have to be the same.
  17. I'm planning on getting my parents a gift certificate for a B&B to use after the wedding since they like taking little weekend trips. For single parents I think engraved picture frames are good. If the dads are cigar smokers I've seen engraved cigar boxes with humidifiers for $50 on one of the wedding websites. For the best man I've seen some nice head phones in wedding magazines. That's something most guys would like and wouldn't get for themselves, and he'll probably appreciate a nice noise canceling pair on the flight home if any babies are around. You can also get good sunglasses for him. Nothing crazy, but you can find really nice ones from $75-100. That's what I'm thinking of doing for the GMs in my wedding. Hope that helps. =)
  18. I'm working on my invites now and could use some feedback. Here's what I have: Blank and Blank (parents) Request the pleasure of your company At the beachside marriage of their daughter ME to FI On Friday, the third of September Two thousand and ten At five o'clock in the afternoon Dreams Puerto Aventuras Resort & Spa, Quintana Roo, Mexico Sunset reception to follow Since I'm getting married in Puerto Aventuras, which is in the state Quintana Roo, which is in the Mayan Riviera (or would you say Riviera Maya?) region I'm not sure which to put for the location on the second to last line. Any suggestions?

I'm confused on the whole town, state, country thing.
  22. Yup, that's expensive. I looked at the prices and decided I would get more for my money by bringing my own photographer. He's a friend of mine so he agreed to do all of our pics for free if we payed for his trip and let him use the pics as samples. He's trip is $750, which is about how much 30 pictures at the resort would have cost us and I know we'll get a lot more out it. Maybe you can find someone to do the same for you.
