My final fitting for my wedding dress and TTD was today and the changes and alterations were beautiful. I mean she was fabulous. I told her i would give her a shout out! She wanted me to wait until a couple of weeks before the wedding to finalize everything which made me nervous. So literally last saturday we fitted both of my dresses, my two bridesmaids, three dresses for my mom and a dress for my mother-in law. She called me Monday morning saying everything was done!!! Wow so amazing and beautifully done. If any one lives in columbus ohio area i know the BEST SEAMSTRESS! Ok other things completed are my OOT bags and goodies, place cards and wine glass charms, my room cards ( i will pass these out at the welcome party and guest can swap room numbers so they know where to find each other and it encourages mingling), and menus. So still working on excursion / important reminders letter and ceremony programs. So needless to say improvement has been made and so happy everything is coming together in the nick of time! GO YOU!!! Sounds like you are ahead of the curve ball and ready to rock and roll!!! Good job!!!

I did receive your PM and I will repsond to you shortly as well. We are now on the countdown! Net week officially marks about 4 months for us and I think it is going to go FAST! So happy to have found you on here my dear wedding date twin! :-) We had this same issue very early on and I politely informed people that we were having a "small, intimate, and quaint" ceremony. I've repeated this so many times that it rolls off my tounge like a wave. I have a co-worker who was with me the day I met my FI and she asks at least every two weeks if we have finalized our guest list, although I told her last year that our STD's and such went out and were booked with a resort, etc..... My Step-Mom forwarded the link and password to our DW.com site to her friends and family that I did not invite just because her husband (my Father) is paying for half and she thought it was her right as his spouse. :-( I had to tell out TA to run the names by us before accepting credit card authorizations for room deposits from people! :-/ I think it's just the nature of people to want to participate in a good time, not to mention not many can say they have been invited to or attended a destination wedding. Take it in stride and as a compliment that people want to see you two get hitched and celebrate your union. :-) Or find a really sweet and kind way to politely let them know that you are not accepting anyone of your guest list. (ie. You are on a strict budget because your folks are paying, you are having a small and private ceremony, or you are already at your max for your invite list) As others said, you are marrying the man of your dreams and that will be the highlight of your day when it is all said and done! ;-) I know I'm late as ever with this reply, but I could so relate to you. ;-) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your dress! Love the sweetheart neckline and the back!!!! Looks great on you!!! Not to add more panic and frenzy to your post, but it took our TA four weeks to get a response on our photogs room availability because our wedding weekend is sold out as well. She didn't go into the details and if rooms were just on hold for other travel operators or not, but Travel Impressions has reached their max for Memorial Day Holiday weekend. So I guess it's time to offer alternative options to guest or let them select a resort of their choice. We too had this discussion in our household.....do we feel guilty and go out of our way for people who had the last 7 months to book or do we let adults be adults. 40 people from my side have booked and 5 of my FI's have. We initially got all spazzed out about that and then we decided that this is the ONE event of our lives that will be about us and if people couldn't get off their duffs to make reservations, it was their loss and not ours. It's natural to want everyone you love and care about to be there, but at the end of the day some initiative has to be taken on their part as well and not just all on the part of you two as a couple. Chin up, I feel your frustration. Those that were meant to be there, will be.......and regardless you and your hubby to be will be in such happy bliss that a few missing faces will not spoil your mood.

Hello Ladies! Happy New Year and I hope you are all doing well! It's been soooooo long since I've been on here that I forgot where I even left off with you all! Anyway, now that the Holidays have passed and I have taken a hiatus from wedding planning, my hopes are to get back on the saddle and get things done. It took me a few days to catch up but I just wanted to drop a few lines to say hello to you all. Hope you all had wonderful Holidays!

You were WITHOUT A DOUBT a beautiful bride!!!!!! I love this photo of you! Congrats on your wedding and being a Mrs.!!! Quote: Originally Posted by Chapa Hey girls.. I have complained once to the upper levels and I don't want to seem like a b-word and complain again, but when is enough, enough? Sorry.. had to see if it was just me! We are using them and aren't overly impressed. We are not having any problems with TA communication/contact/responses to our guests. Our concerns with DW.com lie elsewhere, but to answer your question, communication with our guests has been superb. I would continue going to the top about your TA and if it is not resolved, I would request to be assigned a new DW.com TA. We are on our second DW.com TA by choice, so it can be done if push comes to shove. I'm starting to think these OOT bags are going to be a huge headache to try and get everything there. Hmm..... I have read about several brides successfully bringing Real Touch flowers without vendor fees or any other grief. If I am not mistaken, Meredith recently used them as well for her November wedding without fail. I have also read on other threads as well as ours that shipments to the resort are not allowed. I think it is for several reasons, including the fact that they do not want to be held liable. I'm not sure how many weddings they have a day, but I imagine if they allowed each bride to ship parcels down, there would be moments of confusion. I also think they don't want to bear the burden of parcels that don't make it through customs or are opened in route through customs. Have you considered finding a local FedEx and possibly having parcels shipped there and then picking them up yourself. Might be a safer bet.....IMO.

Our DW.com TA has stated that they have the ability to secure flights for you (us), however I'm not sure that it is an cheaper than booking for ourselves. We have yet to have any of our guest go through our TA for their flights. Those who have already purchased their flights have done so online and directly through the airline.

The bouquets wound up being smaller than I had expected but I think that was more because I was unfamiliar with the sizing. We're doing the Sky Deck Thank you for this link.....I'm headed over to check it out now! Quote: Originally Posted by daniepps I used Sharon Nagassar. www.sharonnagassardesigns.com . Thank you! I am going to send her a request for a quote now!
