Bigboponthebeach & MaggieandJay we might ALL be there together!! Right now we have our ceremony on hold for May 27, 2011. We've been waiting for almost 3 days to find out if we can have the reception at the Plaza Zavaz. AAHHHH!! I'm going nuts with the waiting. Gonna try to work on that ticker now (hopefully I won't have to change the date after we hear back about the reception). It would be so wonderful to meet you both when/if we're all there together. I love the idea of a group pic! Kittenheart you can help me with all the planning and suggestions you've got. I can use all the help I can get. :-)

I just want to reiterate what Bigboponthebeach said. I'm currently stressing out to the MAXX!! trying to schedule everything - get pricing from the TA here in Vancouver for all our guests coming from different locations - here, Calgary, Toronto, New York etc. etc.; trying to find out if we can actually HAVE our ceremony and the reception on the requested date/location (Carolina @ Karisma has confirmed the ceremony date and time yesterday but not the reception yet and the reception details are VERY important for me ... we tentatively have May 27, 2011 on reserve) - which I know there are at least another couple of you around here within DAYS of that, including Bigbop!); also trying to find out what would happen if the travel company changed the dates on us because our TA says that's a possibility with all the different locations we have people coming from. Anyways, point being for my ramble is to second Bigbop's comment that it is so wonderful to know there is such an amazingly supportive group out there who can reassure that they too went through all this stress and ended up having fantastic weddings and made it through the stress of it all together. So THANKS!! You guys rule.

Thanks for the welcomes (and in info re: kids) I'm looking forward to getting to "know" all of you. Having read your threads it seems like this is a really great group of women who are so helpful to one another and have had some GORGEOUS weddings.

Hi All, I'm a newbie around here. I've actually been lurking on this and a couple other threads for a few weeks now since we got engaged as we try and select a resort for our wedding in the Mayan in May/June 2011. I have read this thread I believe from start to finish (it took a looong time). :-) I think we've narrowed it down to the Azul Sensatori with a back up option in case the prices are out of our range of possibilities. We're just waiting for the pricing confirmation and confirmation of a wedding date. I'm so excited I can't stand it. One question for you AS brides. Does anyone know if their is any kind of separate pricing for the Private Reception for children? I know that lots of resorts offer a 2 for 1 or children under 12 are free but I haven't been able to find any details about that for the AS yet. Thanks in advance, and here's hoping I officially become an AS bride soon!
