    We are hoping to get married at the Bavaro in Nov 2011. I really want the ceremony on the beach. Has anyone done this? DO you have some options in terms of the alter? I don't really like the one I have seen in some of the pics and I was hoping that that isn't the only choice. Anyone?

    Hi Jessica, My fiancee and I just changed our mind on resorts and we are now strongly leaning toward the Iberostar Bavaro. Oue date is Nov 2011. The reviews for the resort sound great and I am sure our guests will enjoy themselves, but I am finding it difficult to get reviews on actual weddings. Have you been in touch with a coordinator yet? I am hopeing to hear about our options soon...will let you know if I do!

    Thanks everyone! I think we will be getting married in Nov 2011. Just starting talking to our travel agent and it actually looks like there is a wedding coordinator based in Ontario who coordinates everything wedding for all of the Melia resorts so hopefully this will make things easier. Good luck to all of you with your planning!

    To all you lovely ladies who have been married or are getting married at the Melia Caribe Tropical, I have some questions that I hope you can help me with. I am wondering how easy it is to make changes to the set wedding packages? What types of things are they flexible about and what types of things are limited? Also, if you don't have the reception at the resort how does that affect the cost, if at all? Sorry for all the questions, but I am just getting started and I am really unsure of how the whole process works. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
