  1. Best of luck Amber and Denielle. Keep us posted on here. Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone TTC.
  2. Congratulations on your baby news!! How exciting for you guys! Baby prep is going well but a little overwhelming, I guess there is a reason pregnancy is so long to give you a chance to prepare! Nursery furniture was delivered yesterday, oh boy was I in floods of tears or what, LOL! I am feeling great, although starting to slow down a bit now. Just over 11 weeks to go. Enjoy all the milestones, so exciting to experience the "first" of everything. Can your husband feel the kicking now? My husband did for the first time about 9 weeks ago, and then about 4 weeks ago we started seeing my tummy move. Now that is an amazining experience! Best of luck to you and keep me posted. There is a pregnancy part to this forum too. Congrats again!
  3. Taryn, that is unfortunate that you are recieving so many negative comments. Personally it sounds like jealousy to me. You have so many wonderful things happening at the same time for you, and it's sad that some people can't be totally happy for you and try to take a little from you. Don't let them though!! Enjoy every second of this wonderful time. You got married to what seems like an amazing man, had a true dream wedding in Mexico, looked out of this world fantastic, both of you got promotions, you are building your first home together from the ground up, you are traveling to Europe and your husband is sending you flowers in France. How many people have so many wonderful exciting things going on at the same time? Don't let anyone or anything bring you down from that high!! As I said it sound like envy, and hey in 5, 10, 15 plus years you can prove them all wrong when you and David are just as much in love! Some people can just be so rude. When we told people we were pregnant, you wouldn't believe the first thing out of so many people's mouth, even before they said congrats, when are you due, how are u feeling etc .... we had so many people say "were you pregnant when you got married?". Yes, getting pregnant happened really quickly for us, a month after legal wedding, 2 weeks after Mexico wedding, but even if it was before or right around the time, what are people thinking asking that straight out as their first response? Even people who were in Mexico and knew I was drinking down there! And yes I agree with your comment, misery certainly loves company. Mike and I are over the moon, we had an amazing wedding in Mexico, wouldn't change a thing about it, are closer than we have ever been, and can't wait for our baby to arrive, but yes we've had those no gooders with their nasty comments about enjoying it now while it lasts. I choose to feel sorry for them that they are obviously not in a relationship with someone who loves them as much as my husband loves me and vice versa! All I hear from them is "just wait" or "talk to me in 5 or 10 years" or "those things won't last". I am so happy and on cloud 9 still and I feel like everyone just wants to bring me down. Last week I was in France for work and it happened to be our 3 yr anniversary of being together. David surprised me by sending me a dozen red roses to my hotel room. It was so amazing and he went through so much effort trying to get it done. I was so happy and giddy and it was such a great feeling. And then I had about a handful of people say negative things like what I wrote above. I just don't get it. Even if that is the case and the romance and the spontaneous actions like that will stop as the years go on....why not just shut up and let me enjoy it now instead of telling me how bad it will be in a few years. Geez Sorry ladies...I had to vent. It has been happening to me so much lately and its not like I am going around talking about me and David and how wonderful my marriage is. I am just very happy and when I'm asked how married life is going I seem to just light up and have a big smile on my face and say things are great. I don't understand people sometimes. Maybe they just want others to be miserable if they are. Ok enough of all that negative stuff. Have a wonderful 6th month anniversary everyone!!!!
  4. We bought our cake topper with us. Everyone was stuffed from dinner and too busy dancing and drinking to care about wedding cake, but it was nice to still have one for photos : Bring an inspiration pics with you!
  5. Eun-sil, I am so sorry to hear about your father. I don't even have words to express my sympathy. I'm very glad that you can look back on your wedding day and recall happy memories of your father. And I'm glad for you that you have a wonderful husband to support you through this hard time. Like Courtney, my heart goes out to you. Hope there are many good things just around the corner for you, I am sure there are.
  6. You need two people to hold the lantern while it gets warmed up and airborne, so even if you have one per person, they'll still have to do it in pairs. We told everyone to make a wish as they released them, so I really think one per couple is the ideal way to do it, makes it all the more sweeter and romantic!
  7. Courtney that cruise sounds just amazing! What a wonderful thing to look forward to after the wedding. I've heard great things about Dubrovnik, really up and coming as a tourist region now. You'll have to share pictures on your return!
  8. Kisekae, you look amazing! I love your dress and you look so happy and beautiful. Congrats! I feel the same as Brenners - your post and pictures makes me want to go back!! Off to make a cup of tea now so I can sit down and enjoy your review!!
  9. My sister bought plain white and pink hoodies and took them to a store that does personalized embroidery!
  10. Thank you so much for your lovely comments! I purchased my sky lanterns on EBay and they were the weight of a feather. We packed them in one of our suitcases, and they really didnt add any extra weight at all. We had no problems checking the bags with them in it.
  11. Welcome to the forum, you will love this place and find it to be a life saver for your planning!
  12. Congrats and welcome to the forum!! We were married at the Barcelo Maya Palace in November and it was absolutely perfect, you will love it!
  13. Hi Courtney! Happy anniversary for Saturday!! Baby is due late August. Will be here before we know it. We FINALLY picked a name, but my husband wants us to be the only ones to know, he doesn't want to tell anyone. I thought this was odd at first but now I see his reasoning, it's amazing how frank some people can be with their opinions! We had talked before about some names we were considering and it was a nightmare listening to everyone's two cents worth, so Mike decided that we would not tell anyone until she is born. It's a normal traditional name, nothing crazy but we still don't want to be hearing anyone trying to turn us off it! Your trip in September sounds fabulous. What other ports are you guys stopping at? Oh you guys are going to have a blast!
  14. We had our reception at Playa Azul also (LOVED IT!) and did not use a DJ or dance floor and we have absolutely no regrets. Absolutely eveyone loved dancing barefoot in the sand, it was so awesome and how often do you go to a wedding and get to do that? We used an iPod, and it was just perfect for us. It hooks right in to their sound system and the provide a microphone. My advice would be to ensure you have your different playlists made out in advance (first dances, dinner music, cake cutting songs, garter toss song, last song of the night), make sure shuffle is turned off/disabled on the iPod, and if you like designate a guest to be emcee. We had one guest who introduced us, turned down music for speeches, changed the playlists etc.
  15. Skygirl, I think you missed my post at the bottom of page 9 - "You need to install the correct fonts if you don't already have them installed. To create the flowers you need the Hibiscus font. To create the palm trees you need wmtrees1 font. You should be able to download and install them for free if you google them. I think if I recall correctly I got them from www.dafont.com Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions!"
  16. Thank you! I got so many ideas from browsing this forum before my own wedding so happy to share my own story now!
  17. Just noticed you are in MA, I used Kinkos in Westboro to get mine printed. I tried my home printer but it just wasnt as good. I bought the metallic paper myself and took that to the FedEx/Kinko store and they used my own paper and template to do the printing. I also had them cut the final version for me.
