  1. These are ssoooooooooo pretty!!
  2. Are you getting married at Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay??? I'm in the same boat. I'm terrified that something is going to go seriously wrong.... We already had to have our wedding pushed to 6:00 because the assistant double booked our day. *dies*
  3. Oooohhh! This is such a pretty top! I do a lot of shopping from Forever 21 online. I checked both the Canadian & US site and couldn't find it... usually how it works is they get the newest stuff in store, and the stuff on their website is usually older merch. Forever 21 is sooo quick with turn over that there's probably a good chance they don't have the top anymore, if it's not even on the website. That's what I've found at least.
  4. Flights/Trips for both of us: $3400 Invitations & other stationary: $100 Centerpieces & Decor: $50 Resort Fees: $1100 Steel Drum Band: $400 Dress : $650 $0 (gift from my mom) Alterations: $200 Grooms Attire: $250 Bridesmaids Dresses: $160 Groomsmen Shirts: $80 Photographer: $1500 Flowers: $225 Wedding Rings: $450 Budget for Tips: $100 Budget for Gifts: $250 Honeymoon: $2200 Total: $10,465 I think we're doing pretty good... especially considering we're going on a honeymoon as well. Let's see what other costs end up coming up
  5. We bought FI's at le chateau at the end of summer. It fits him great and it wasn't overly expensive... They had tons of selection of linen suits (4 or 5 different colours). I don't know if they'd still have them in stock anymore but it's worth checking out (maybe closer to spring).
  6. http://www.riverbendrealty.ca/database/display.php?display=5819 This is it. It need some updates, but it's really cute
  7. Yay!! Thanks ladies! and we take possession exactly one week before we leave for Jamaica. April is going to be a CRAZY, EXPENSIVE MONTH!!!
  8. Guess who is a home owner??? ME!!!
  9. Super cute dresses!! I think it's totally fine that your MOH is the same as your bridesmaids
  10. Yes we are ! We're thinking waterfalls, and we're going to try to rent some horses !!! So much fun!! She wants to do from noon to sunset TTD. I think her big motivation for doing this for free is she's starting to advertise DW's and holding a seminar for them. This way she has some kickass DW shots for her portfolio.
  11. Teira, SO SEXY! I love them! You look incredible! Oh, so we're going with sugar&soul photography for our wedding !! FI finally agreed to bring her. In the end we're saving $1000 by losing our deposit & we're getting better pics! Yay!! SOO excited!! She sent me a bunch of links to her fav weddings she's shot. I love them, I have to share (c'mon, we all love looking at wedding pics!) http://sugarandsoulphotographyblog.com/blog/2010/07/12/amanda-jordan-trash-the-dress-a-midsummer-nights-dream/ http://sugarandsoulphotographyblog.com/blog/2010/10/23/cara-ken-married-10-10-10/ http://sugarandsoulphotographyblog.com/blog/2010/08/31/mandy-billy-married-august-21-2010/ http://sugarandsoulphotographyblog.com/blog/2010/06/25/janice-andriy-day-after-session-part-1-red-river-exhibition/ http://sugarandsoulphotographyblog.com/blog/2010/01/30/renee-sean-trash-the-dress-in-mexico/
  12. omg me too! The planning threads are my favourite part about this site. I don't know if I'll do mine before or after though... hmmm
  13. I'm sooo happy we didn't do OOT bags with all the shipping changes that WestJet has made lately!! We are allowed 1 bag and 1 carryon. That's it. We can get 1 additional bag (for I think $20), but no more. So my carryon is my wedding dress. Great. I'll have to cram all of my stuff in FI's carryon, haha! It shouldn't be too bad though. The centerpieces all come apart so I'll distribute the pieces among our wedding party. Other than that it's just paper/flat stuff and gifts. FI & I are going for 2 weeks so I can't cramp my 2 week wardrobe!
  14. Lisa - Aww thanks ! I'm so happy with how they turned out. Brandy - I feel your pain!!
  15. Teira!! I LOVE the pic! SO, I got my unedited BD proofs today! She uploaded all 200-some pics and I get to choose my top 15 for her to edit and make all amazing . So these are literally right off the camera. I'm so happy with them I had trouble picking 15! If anyone wants to see, PM me and I'll send you my password to the photobucket album I uploaded them to. I'm not too comfortable posting them on here but I'd love to share Oh, here's my fav. She caught me laughing (this is totally cropped btw, full *covered* boobage in the actual pic, haha)
  16. Ughh... FI doesn't want to switch photogs!! He thinks the photog in Jamaica is better (I really don't think so). If anyone of you have time let me know your thoughts... I just think Melissa (Sugar & Soul) is so much more creative & talented. Boys don't get it... Our current photog in Jamaica (Sungold Associates RS) http://wpajamaica.com/?page_id=14 The Winnipeg photog who is willing to do our wedding for free http://www.sugarandsoulphotography.com/
  17. Brandy, I like the seahorses above your names, I think it flows better
  18. Aw Erin, that's so exciting. Congrats!!
  19. omg... the photographer who did my BD shoot just offered to do our wedding for FREE. She wrote me an email and told me "You're so gorgeous & sweet and a photographers dream to photograph, if you didn't already have a photographer booked I would honestly do your wedding for free if you payed my way down to there".... and it went from there. Now I just have to convince my fiance that it's a good idea to lose our deposit with our photographer in Jamaica. Her work is fabulous. She's young and super creative and I loved working with her. She normally charges $3600 for a wedding here. Omg.
  20. I really like your OOT bag logo, Lua! It's very clean & pro looking, great job!!
  21. I needed 2 outfits, and I ended up finding a really cute soft pink corset combo on sale for $25 and then I just got a really cute pair of white lace panties (to go with a bra I already own), but I ended up doing a lot of "just panties" shots. All the poses I liked were topless (covered with arms, hands, hair, etc of course) so I went for it. The photog made me feel so comfortable that we just joked around the whole time, it wasn't awkward at all! Oh, and I will totally share some pics... I'll probably get people to PM me for a password though as I don't want 1/2 naked pics of me all over the internet... hmmm... haha.
  22. We were totally going to but after talking it over with our families we realized that it was already flipped and too small for us... I was a little bummed, but after seeing the one we looked at today I'm sold. I need to stop getting my hopes up so soon, haha. BD shoot was awesome. I recommend all ladies do one, even for them self! It's so much fun!
  23. It's been an awesome day! Had my BD shoot early this afternoon and it was soo much fun! The photographer was amazing to work with too and it was super comfortable. I can't wait to see the pics!! We also looked at a few more houses and have one in our cross hairs as the current #1. The only downfall, posession is April.15th... we leave for the wedding April 23rd... that gives us a week to move in! Ugh!! Oh well, what can you do.
  24. Hey! I'm in need of around 10 teal coloured floralytes (LED lights that are submersible). They're available online EVERYWHERE it seems but since I'm in Canada the shipping ends up costing more than the lights themselves! I'm wondering if anyone has any extra or any they're not using that they'd be willing to sell. Thanks!
