We have some decisions made here and there, but nothing set in stone yet. We're planning on paying the extra $2500 to have a restaurant reserved just for us (one of the other brides who got married there mentioned it). So we'll have to wait and see which ones would be available. We're also going with the middle option. Seems like the best deal since the more expensive one doesn't really have that many more perks from my understanding. We've gotten a few group rate quotes and are going to try again in August when we send out our "Save the Dates". Until then just a lot of window shopping I guess. The only other thing we're going to be booking soon is our photographer

Wedding date secured for May 2 / 2011 !!! So excited!!

Hey Katelynn! Actually since this post we've spoken to her and secured our date as May. 2nd / 2011 ! We will be flying out on April 27th if all goes as planned. So we will be there at the exact same time! Tris

Hey I sent you my email That would be awesome if you could e-mail the information to me, I feel like I've been waiting forever. We're still up in the air about dates but it's going to sometime end of April, beginning of May 2011. So excited!

So after thinking we were completely decided on Dreams Tulum in the Mayan Riveria my mom brought up the Gran Bahia Principe and we feel in love with it. My concern right now is I e-mailed the coordinator at the beginning of the week and she still hasn't gotten back to me. Should I be concerned?

Hi! My name's Trista and it's been just over a week I've been engaged. Since my fiance (so much fun to use the word!) and I have been dating for over 8 years I've kind of had some ideas for a while now. We are thinking the date will be May 7 / 2011, but nothing is even close to set in stone yet. Location-wise, we visited Riveria Maya last year and adored it so that's what we're leaning towards. Having some trouble with resorts though because of "must haves" (including: bringing in our own vendors for photography, handicap accessible for my grandfather, and we really want to have a reception afterwards). Right now Dreams Tulum is at the top of our list, the only downfall is how far it is from the airport and from Playa Del Carmen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! -Tris
