  1. Sorry I haven't been on to comment, after the wedding we've been busy moving into the new house and puppy training, haha
  2. Glad you ladies were able to help each other and thanks again everyone. Time consuming isn't even the beginning of it! I couldn't agree more! But I love my invites and they were worth it.
  3. SOOOO PRETTY!! I love all of the close ups
  4. Hey! Sorry it took so long to reply, I'm not really on here very much since the wedding I would recommend my photographer a million times over. She's based in Winnipeg, MB, though, we took her with us ! I did my BD shoot with her and we hit it off so much that she offered to our wedding for just the cost of travel. So we ended up getting her for extremely cheap and I couldn't say no. In the end we got over 2500 pics and we've gotten so many compliments about how beautiful they are. She's so passionate about what she does, super creative, and on top of it all she's so sweet and easy to get along with. She hit it off completely with everyone in our group. If you want to get in touch with her I'd contact her through her site and see what she can do for you http://www.sugarandsoulphotography.com/
  5. I'm with a few of you ladies, scared of baby thoughts right now! We are still pretty young though (25/26), so we've got time. We're getting a puppy instead. Haha! Happy baby making to those of you who are TTC though, I'm excited that we all get to go on this journey together
  6. Yes, we were in the water. Check out my TTD for pics. We only climbed into one tier, we were allowed to go further, but this was good for us http://sugarandsoulphotographyblog.com/blog/2011/05/10/trista-kai-trash-the-dress-session-in-jamaica/
  7. Our room was on of the "honeymoon suites" (honestly, it's the exact same room, you just have a bigger balcony), on the 5th floor (so Golden Club) and it was connecting. We didn't have the other room, but the door was there.
  8. - When did you finally receive confirmation of your restaurant? My wedding is exactly two months today and I was hoping to confirm the table/seating charts soon. About 2 weeks before we left for the wedding. - I am also wondering what the candles look like that are supplied by the resort? Chandlyn said she was going to send a photo but I just wanted to make sure I buy ones that look the same so I can utalize what they have there. I loved your centre pieces!! Did you get them to dim the lights for the dinner? I am hoping to get a really romantic feel by having lots of votives on the guest tables and tall candles at the head table. I THINK there were a few candles supplied per table, but my BM set up all the centerpieces for me and I was too busy to notice if there were a few extra candles around them, sorry. The lights were already dimmed in the restaurant. - Do you have any suggestions of ways to display table seating charts now that you have seen the facilities? Depending on the restaurant and where in the restaurant you're sitting it would all depend. They're super accomodating though so tell them what you want and I'm sure they'll work it out for you. We didn't have seating charts, just name cards, as we had only 16 guests. Love your shirts by the way!! Did someone give them to you as a gift? I made them . Staples iron ons that I designed on my computer and printed at home.
  9. Thanks everyone We got the CD's and we have approx 2500 pictures from both days! The ones she posted were just her fav's... I've found so many other amazing pics that she didn't post. I don't know how I'm even going to START my photo album with so much to choose from!!! The shirts I made myself. Just bought iron-ons from Staples and printed them from my printer.
  10. Thanks so much everyone! If I miss anyone's questions The horses were at a placed "Chukka", it was pretty close to GBP on the to Ochos Rios. It was $74 for 2 horses for about 30 min. They do guided tours there as well, and charge around $80 per person, so we thought it was a pretty good deal. We brought our driver in with us and he helped us negotiate with the people there as well. The peacock's name is "George". He was at Mahoe falls right at the entrance. We couldn't believe how friendly he was, and then they told us he was their pet at the falls. We could touch him and everything, he was so friendly and a HUGE show off (as you can tell). Mahoe falls was $5 per person to get in. It wasn't as elaborate as Dunn's, but it was perfect for photos. I'd still reccommend checking Dunn's out, it was awesome, but we didn't want strangers in our pics. My centerpieces were made using plastic pasta containers that I wrapped ribbon around (I wasn't bringing glass vases down with me). I bought summersiable turquoise lights, placed them in the bottom, along with a bit of shells & beady things then filled them with water. The two side ones are fake white flowers glue gunned into a ball with white feathers and the middle, tall one is a fake call lily that is inside these really cool balls I found at Michaels. The runners were burlap type material from JYSK. The candles, I brought all my own and rolled them up in DH's & my clothes to keep them safe. The steel drum band was awesome. Worth every penny of that money. They created such a beautiful mood and entertained everyone before & after. (If I missed anyone I'm sorry!!)
  11. Mahoe. And we had this whole section to ourselves. There was more we could have explored but I was so sick at this point I was puking every 10 minutes so we headed back to the resort and I slept for 4 hours then we went and did the sunset ones on the resort beach
  12. And our TTD http://sugarandsoulphotographyblog.com/blog/2011/05/10/trista-kai-trash-the-dress-session-in-jamaica/
  13. Here's the TTD ladies ;) http://sugarandsoulphotographyblog.com/blog/2011/05/10/trista-kai-trash-the-dress-session-in-jamaica/ Tekeya - We had the band for the ceremony. Our ceremony was at 6pm so by 7 it was dark And I brought my own centerpieces with me.
  14. It's for whatever services I want from them. I think we're going to splurge and get a XL book... really I'm thinking of it as $115 OFF whatever I buy, haha. We could totally get a really nice book for that price, but I want all the extras, nicer paper, etc.. hey, it's my wedding photo album, it's worth it to me. And they come with either 40 or 80 pages, the ones I'm looking at are all 80, extra pages can be added for 1.50 or something like that. Here's the site for all the Canadian Brides out there: http://www.photobookcanada.com/index.php
  15. I bought a groupon from photobook canada for $35 (for $115 worth), so we're going to be doing a really nice coffee table book... we also have a nice big new wall in the house to fill with pics
  16. oh, and ames, I hope you can find a way to get your grandpa there. Mine is so special to me so I know how you feel about having him there. And I agree, my photog leaves me speechless. She did my BD shoot as well ! She's doing more DW now and if anyone is wanting to fly someone out, she's worth every penny.
  17. That picture made me cry as well... so much emotion it's ridiculous! I love all of them so much. The pictures are I'm sure touched up, but you'd have to ask my photog how much the colours were touched up, I wouldn't know. My sister did my makeup. Mahoe falls was like 5 min from Dunn's River, it was about half an hour or so from the GBP.

He's literally my hero and has always been there for me when my dad wasn't. The stroke caused him to lose mobility in half of his body. He's taught himself to "walk" but it's really difficult for him and he needs support to do so. I only got a few steps out of him, but it was so special we had everyone crying. And thanks so much everyone. I'm stunned at the amazing job she did. We did all of our pics before the wedding (as it was at sunset), so the beginning are first look pics. Someone also asked about the flowers? They held up really well! I loved the simplicity of a round white bouquets, especially against the bold colours of the girls dresses. We didn't have any issues with them at all.
