  1. Hi All- My fiance' and I decided last week that a traditional wedding is not for us, so we're going with a DW. In doing so, there are TONS of places and this is extremely overwhelming I would really appreciate help with the following areas: Wedding Planner- I've heard really bad reviews about LUXE, so I am staying away from them. Place for Wedding/Reception- We are not keen on the idea of marrying in front of hotel patrons, so we want something intimate and private for the wedding and reception. Place for family to stay- We've decided to spend a few days with our family and then depart to enjoy the remainder of our stay as it will be our honeymoon as well. The family can stay at a Sandals resort as it is very budget friendly. Place for us to stay- We've considered staying at the Caves, but we're not impressed by the lack of sand. We would love recommendations on private villas that exude romance. Thanks so much everyone
  2. Robyn July ?, 2011. Stephen and I JUST decided to change our wedding plans (forgoing our deposit paid at venue here in Maryland) to do a DW in Jamaica. I'm just starting out, so ideas are definitely welcome! Thx.
  3. Hi All, I am new to this forum and have founds tons of information in the past two hours since visiting. Stephen proposed on January 28th and I've been planning our wedding ever since. We were both planning (and paid a deposit ) a traditional, large wedding here in Maryland; however we realized we were only "pleasing" the many requests from our family. Last week, we decided to reduce the guest list from 200-30 and do it in Jamaica! We've changed our wedding date from October 6, 2011 to July, ?, 2011. I'm here to search out a great wedding venue that will double as a great place to honeymoon. We want to get married on the beach at sunset, but don't want to do it under an arch in front of a gazillion hotel guest patrons, so we're opting for something more private and extremely romantic: lots of flowers and candles. Any help or suggestions are greatly welcomed! Thanks for reading.
