My dress has arrived and it is Stunning. Absolutely perfect in every way. The quality and workmanship is AMAZING. I only had a few moments at home at lunchtime. Good timing as the dress arrived a few minutes after I got in the door. I am so pleased with the dress I cannot express. I did the best I could to pull it on to get an idea of fit etc and from what I can tell it fits perfectly. I cannot believe that I have a dress of that quality and only paid 140 dollars. By the way, absolutely no smell. Not on the dress or the package. Barely wrinkled. I'm going to my mom's after work to try it on and take some photos. I'll post up tonight if I can get on. The last couple nights, I cannot get on here there is so much traffic. Anyone even considering Monica Bridal, go for it. You will not be disappointed.

Heard from Monica Bridal last night. She says that from what she can see on her end of the tracking, the dress left China on October 10. I still do not see that online when I check the tracking number but I"m sure she has better access than I do. She said it will most likely be several more days before I receive the dress. G

HOLY ROCK Prettypig - that is absolutely gorgeous. -
So Monica Bridal girls, tell me again how long did it take to receive your dress once you were notified your dress had been shipped to Canada? Mine was shipped two weeks ago and knowing there was a huge holiday in China, I stayed away from the tracking site until today. My tracking number isn't even recognized on the shipping site. WTH? How long does it take for the number to be registered. G

Isn't it great to live in a country where freedom of choice is an option I say do whatever feels right. I for one refuse to spend thousands on a dress for a few hours when I can get two for 800. I exercised two options: one sample Pronovias 699 dollars, one knock off Deere Kiang, 140 dollars, satisfaction in knowing I get to where two poufie dresses in one day for 839 dollars, PRICELESS. But that's just me cuz I'm a princess. Ginger

terilina, Looks like simply a change in the fabric and the color. The dress looks to be ivory to me in the photos of the bride you posted. Other than that, the fit is different because it's not a real person. I'm betting once you get it fit to your body, it will be perfect. That, by the way, is a gorgeous dress. One of my favs. Bonnie, I love reading your posts. Straight to the point. Ginger1961

Sebita Your dress is almost identical. As Lisadias said, it just needs more pleating in the middle area. If I were you, I'd send them the picture of you in the original, and point out that they need more pleating from the flower embellishment outward. There should be no bunching. Once pleating is complete, this entire section should sit flat as in the photo of you wearing the original. Other than that, this dress turned out amazing. Breeze - can't wait to see your photos. lisadias Your dress is beautiful! Other than being a bit long. How did they get that wrong? They asked me my height and I gave it to them and said I'd be wearing 3 inch shoes. Thinking in my mind that with the dress I picked out even if I wore 5 inch it wouldn't matter. Mochamakes3 Hmmm, I can't believe they agreed to send you pictures. I specifically asked if they could do that for me, and I was told flat out no. Reason being was that the lady taking the dress order and all my information and the only person I dealt with during the entire transaction was not in the same building as the dress factory. To be honest, I was a little miffed at first. I thought okay then get the dressmaker to take a photo. She seemed very reluctant. No actually she flat out refused. Mine was shipped a week ago but like others have said with the Chinese Holiday, I don't expect to see it for a few weeks yet. Ginger

It looks like the draping is actually part of the train tucked up in a Reverse Train or a French Train. I think that's what they call it. See in your second last photo where she is walking on the sand - the train is dragging behind. This is how it is tacked up, so to speak so she is not walking on it and it is not dragging. You'd have to eliminate the train altogether. Is that what you want? Then again I could be completely wrong and it is part of the dress. It's hard to say. Does this lady make mention at all as to who makes the dress? You could seek her out via internet and ask who makes the dress. Then if you have the actual designers photos you can see the details a bit better. Personally, I love every detail about this dress. Very different. G

Hi ladies, I typed you both emails tonight and both times I was told that I was denied access and my emails didn't go through. Then I was prompted to log in. I was logged in or else I wouldn't have been able to get to my emails. I'm really sorry but I have to log off for the night but tomorrow when I get a few minutes I'll answer everyone who sent me a pm. So sorry. That's really frustrating as those emails were a couple a paragraphs long. If anyone is moderating tonight, maybe have a look or something. Ginger

That's odd that Monica Bridal agreed to do this. I had asked them to do this about a week or so ago before they shipped mine and I was told they could not do it. The person I was dealing with said she was not in the same building as the factory. Weird but I'm glad they have agree to do the photos for you mochamakes3. G

Diamond Girl, Send me a pm with an email address for you and we'll get started. Again, I'm not a professional but I have failed at every diet known to man and woman in my 20's and then, I figured out the secret to success which is that it's really no secret at all. I have spent the past three years with a trainer. She'd love to know that I've passed all her secrets on. All you need is the motivation and I am sure it will happen. I'm 5 foot 4 inches and weigh about 120-123. I do not believe in restricting any food group. Balance is the key. I also do not believe in being hungry. It's all about the choices. I'll need you to do me a favor. Take an honest look at what you eat through the run of a day. In fact, write down everything you ate yesterday or today. I mean everything. I'll get you set up with on online calculator to get a handle on your calories. You'd be suprised how many calories we tend to sneak in during a day. Amounting to hundreds. Also put your mind around what you do for exercise if any, and then what you'd be willing to do. There is no sense in me telling you to follow my schedule as our demands are all different. Can you do that? Give me as much info about your activity level, food intake, sleep and water intake. You'll need a scale and a tape measure. Those two items will tell you everything you need to know. Ginger

I have been trying to stay away from this thread but I just can't any longer. Do not do this. You will screw up your metabolism. You'll end up heavier than before you started once the weight comes back on. Not IF but When. Losing weight is simple mathematics girls. Eat less than your body's caloric needs and you will loose weight. Add exercise to the mix and you will lose more. There are caloric calculators all over the internet. You plug in your body weight, height and in some cases your level of activity and it will tell you how many cals you need to sustain your current weight. Drop 500 cals lower than that and you will loose about a pound a week. If you exercise, you'll increase the loss. A pound is approximately 3500 calories. 500 x 7 days a week is 3500 cals. I would not recommend trying to lose more than 2 lbs a week. I'm not a dietician but I have lost weight and kept it off for more than ten years. I am 42 years old and I am a size 2. A healthy size two. By that I mean I have muscle on my body. I eat healthy 5-6 times a day but I exercise. I lift weights 3-4 times a week and I do cardio 6 days a week - I am a gym rat so to speak. I have helped co-workers, friends, and sisters lose weight. If anyone wants help from someone who has been there and done it and still doing it please pm me or give me a shout out. I have a friend going on her honeymoon in November that I'm currently helping. I do not mind at all. Stay safe and healthy girls, quick fixes are so not worth it. Ginger
