  1. I hardly ever take mine off but that is more for the fact that it's hard to get over my knuckles. I have gotten to the point now that I feel naked without it. I do try to take it off when cleaning or cooking with my hands but other than that it stays on.
  2. Wow yeah that's a bummer. I would just say this is just an intimate ceremony for you and your immediate family and leave it at that. They will probably get their feelings hurt but someone is always bound to get their feelings hurt in these things. Another way to avoid people coming is do it on a weekday in the middle of the week so they can't come because of work. We will run into the same problem now. We had hoped on getting legally married afterwards at his 90 year old grandmother's church a few hours away from here. It actually would have been very cool because that is where his parents got married over 40 years ago. But we found out now we have to get married beforehand and I am in the same boat as you and don't want it to take away from the destination weddding. I'm curious as to what other advice you will get regarding this!
  3. I am getting married at the Majestic Colonial May 30, 2011. It looks awesome and the wedding package is pretty good!
  4. We are getting married May 30 and just got our save the dates out this week. We waited to see what the rates were going to be. We are getting married in Punta Cana and it's pretty pricey to fly there.
  5. Those are great, where did you find them!!
  6. Just saw today that they are now on sale online for $3.50 and buy one get one free!!! You can't beat that with a stick!!! I'm just bummed I paid $5.50 a few days ago. Oh well maybe I'll buy them for all of my lady guests!!

  8. I definitely think I'm going to go with the parasols! My colors are turquoise and orange. My BM's are going to wear orange dresses and I think I will get the turquoise parasols.
  9. My best friend did this and at first I was quite hesitant but it turned out amazing!!! The pictures were awesome! She did colors in the linens and cake and flowers just had the guests wear white. I will say though it is extrememly difficult to find white in the fall.

  13. I orginally was going to use Zazzle (they were about .65 each with $20 in shipping) but then ended up using VistaPrint and only had to pay for the shipping costs, the postcards were free. I found a picture online of the beach in the DR and then wrote Dominican Republic across the bottom. On the back, I did a black and white faded image of the front and then had our save the date info. They look great!!!
