atrott - where did you get the personalized margarita mix? that would be super cute We're doing welcome bags - we are going to put postcards, maps, tequila bottles, mini sunscreen, evian mister, mini asprin bottles, local candies....that's it so far We are going to put wooden fans in the church and then we are going to use the macaras as our table settings

I don't have any contact info for Pasteleria it's a little local bakery - they told me that they need about a weeks notice to make the cake - we are going down the week before the wedding so we will go in and order it - Constitutes Ave in Playa Del Carmen We did taste the cakes - I actually find all the cakes in Mexico awful!! lol - but my parents and fiance thought that it tasted really good -the prices were amazing!! We are having about 80 guests and the cost was around $300 US dollars, our cake is quite simple, we are adding fresh flowers to it to spice it up

Sam - also the outdoor options are so beauitful there but of you want the party to go on - you definitely want to choose the indoor options....kinda sucks though We are also getting married in town at the church on 5th Ave

I'm not sure about Gilberto - I know that Carolina got moved to the Dominicon Republic resort, maybe he did too Sam - you look like my friend Patti - so weird!!!!!!!

I find the prices crazy but I agree I think these may be the "American" prices - lol I know it would be super last minute but I was thinking that I might just go into the center of town when I arrive and ask one of the mariachi bands (on the street) if they would be interested.....risky to wait but will definitely be more worth it. If you can't find any then you could always book last minute through your hotel WC

AandD - Samuel Luna is an amazing photographer - we have him booked for our 11/23/10 wedding - check him out, his work is amazing and he is really sweet and nice

I am going to the Playacar Palace - it is a beautiful resort and family friendly.....we have 80 people booked so far and because it is a smaller resort it will be more intimate Hacienda Tres Rios is a beauitful resort also!!!

You need to go to Alux Lounge - this is where we are having our wedding!!! It is amazing - the food is absolutely delicious and the staff is incredible!!

I emailed my TA and she was able to get it for all of my guests - thanks for the info, I would have never got this without you ladies!!!

We actually went down to PDC this past weekend and found Pasteleteria (recommended by the locals so you know it's good!!) We are getting the Tres Leches which was amazing so we have decided to go with them!!!

Just got back from PDC this past weekend - didn't see any kind of impact...I'm more concerned with all the animals it is absolutely ridiculous that they are taking so long!!!

Just a note ladies the sun doesn't set over the water on that side we wanted to do a sunset thing too - it will still be beauitful just not as I pictured it.....we have our wedding booked Nov 23 but we aren't having it on the resort - 80 ppl booked so far!!!!

Hi Ladies We are getting married in PDC in Nov and all my guests are staying at PP - we are having the cocktail party there in between the church and reception if you give me your email address I can send you pics...yes you can get married on the beach The resort is absolutely stunning we just went down this past weekend to do wedding planning and I was soooo happy about the choice of this resort it is so calming and beauitful!! I know that they are extremely busy right now with other weddings going on so that's probably why they haven't gotten back to you - try emailing again or contact the head office
