This makes me so sad for Mexico. The whole country and economy is suffering because of evil greedy people in certain areas. All my experience with people in Mexico has been the nicest, most polite, caring people. My father lives in Guadalajara and he thinks the media in the US plays up what has happened. Of course, horrible things HAVE happened, but those things happen everywhere. Living in Houston, I feel I am closer to the danger (the border, and all of the trafficking that I am sure goes through here) here than in Puerto Vallarta, all the way on the West Coast. We were in PV the other summer, stayed in a condo in El Centro, and felt very safe. Everyone should just be cautious as they would be on any vacation in a foreign country.

I have 7 (maybe 8 now) bridesmaids. Because we have a vintage theme, and it's a destination wedding, I ordered these vintage mini suitcases in purple and green (size small for the BMs and medium for the MOH). They were purchased from rompbklyn.com and I even got a 10% discount. I will personalize them with ribbon and a luggage tag. So far inside, there will be barefoot sandals for the ceremony and their jewelery. I shopped at www.rhinestonejewelry.com where I got 12 pairs of earrings and 12 bracelets TOTAL for about 40-50 bucks. I will also be giving pairs to my future MIL, myself, step-mother, etc. I am looking for other things now to pair with gifts. I will also be having them take a boat ride over in the morning to the bridal casita at the wedding site and have a nice lunch there for them. These are their dresses that I am having made, however, they are paying for them.

On our save the date, we had our website, date, place, etc, so people have known the details for a while, plus I send out group emails. Most people say they are going to book after the holidays who haven't booked yet. I can't believe it is only 6 months and one week away!
