Does anyone happen to know what size runner you would need for the gazebo if you were bringing your own?  I am considering bringing my own personalized runner, but I'm not sure whether to purchase a 50', 75' or 100'.  I didn't want to buy the larger if it would be a waste.  Thanks!!

I'm doing the same!! This is what I got from Wilma:   The length is 12 mts by 70 cm :)

I couldn't agree with you more about the bouquets! I'm totally leaning towards Real Touch Flowers as well! I think i'd just feel a lot more secure knowing exactly what I'm going to be carrying in vs. picking a few days before!! I'm really picky about stuff like that and am nervous that I won't like what the resort offers or something (although I have seen PDFs) but still! :)

That arrangement is beautiful!  What website is that from?

Well I got 400 days to go from today so I have plenty of time.

I have a lot of stuff figured out but I can't really do anything until it gets closer.  I did reserve my photographer (La Luna) ...so excited.  I have lots of ideas for the OOT bags, where I am going to buy my chair sashes, the style of centerpieces I want and so much more but I really need to wait until it gets closer so I have a better idea of how many people are coming.  I plan on going dress shopping starting next month.  Have a specific style I want so I hope it ends up looking good on me.  I've been working on my boarding pass STDs that will be sent out next month and already decided to do the passport invites.  So I have lots of stuff figured out but now its just a waiting game for me.  You're lucky yours is so close!! =)

I did find my shoes....fell in love with them.  These will be the first item I buy for the wedding haha!!!

Staying on the Cove side for 8 days, then moving to the Spa side for 6. --->> Double Resort Dollars this way!

Booked JSAV for audio equipment, No DJ

Skadow:  Seems like you are all set!!!  I'll prob get fidgety too once I have everything pretty much done!  I contacted JSAV as well for audio equipment, just nervous about not having an actual DJ (although from what I'm reading are EXTREMELY pricey in MX!!)... because if you just book the audio equipment the provide, how do they do the actual announcements?  You know?

I actually asked my TA about the double resort dollars today! I didn't think of doing that! Silly us were just thinking about staying on the Cove Side the entire time!   huh.gif

I reached out to Fernando for pricing and have not heard back from him yet - I also reached out to Norma Zurama and heard back from her, but would like to be able to compare with Fernando's prices!  Can you share that info with me? :)

Also for the wedding ceremony, which musician did you pick?  I'm leaning towards harpist I think :)

Haha that's so funny!! I'm still debating to be honest!! I think Thomas likes the orange combo better than the raspberry but I don't know!  Was thinking of purchasing dark teal linens and accenting with orange/peachy flowers.. what are your ideas?

Thank you!!! :)  We have picked out the reception and cocktail area!!!  I have reached out to a TA and Save the Dates (yes a little late) will be going out this week if not next!  We got engaged not too long ago but we are mostly inviting family and friends so they're super excited and expecting our upcoming nuptials!! :) Diamond Wedding Package and we are still debating between dark teal, ivory and oranges or dark teal, ivory and raspberry.. leaning more towards the combination with raspberry..

Thank you!! We are expecting 30-40 people there - not sure where the numbers will end up but we'll see!!   As long as our closest relatives and friends go, we'll be more than happy to enjoy our day with them! :)  I originally booked the Amethyst Rose Collection but have since change as a result of changing our colors!  We are now going with the Diamond Collection which I am realizing is what most brides do since it's the easiest to put everything together! :)

Thank you! This site has been very helpful thus far for sure! :)  So far, we will be getting married on Sat., the 14th at 6PM at the Coba Gazebo.  Sunset that day is around 7:15-7:20PM so I wanted our photographer to get that into the pictures.  We will be having our cocktail hour at the Maraccas Terrace with our reception (paaaaarttttttttty!!) on the Cove Terrace!! We have kiddies coming so everything will be Cove Side! :)  Soo excited to be putting things together!!! Today is 7 months away!!!  Ahhh!!! pinkie.gif

  7. After months of being a serious stalker on most of the wedding boards and many wedding talks...  we are finally ENGAGED!!  I am so excited to be marrying my best friend - the love of my life!! :)

    How it happened:

Tommy and I planned a trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina so that he could meet the rest of my family & also because I wanted to celebrate my birthday there too!  Together with my parents, sister and nephews, we spent many days walking and sight seeing this beautiful country! The weather had been beautiful every single day - perfect spring weather, except for, the day of my birthday.  Poor Tommy had so many plans up his sleeve (I later came to find out) for his perfect proposal but when we woke up the morning of my 27th birthday, October 7th, we looked out the window and could hardly see anything because of the rain!!  It was POURING! Go figure!  Originally, he had a couple of ideas for an outside proposal, but due to the weather, he had to think fast!  :)  Being that I was excited to be the birthday girl, I woke up around 6:30 AM (Tommy was already awake) and grabbed my iPhone.  I started reading all of the birthday messages my friends had posted on my Facebook wall, until I saw he hadn't said anything to me yet! I looked at him when I realized this and said to him, "Babe! You haven't sent me a birthday greeting yet!" So he said "I know babe, okay, hold on..."  When he posted on my wall, he wrote:  "Happy 27th Birthday Baby.  I love you so much, will you marry me?"  After reading this, I automatically turned to him with tears and my eyes and a pout and said "Are you serious?"  Tommy was down on one knee, holding a gorgeous ring in his hand, asking me to marry him!!! Overwhelmed with happiness and emotion, I told him "Baby of course!! Absolutely!!!"

It was perfect for us - after Plan A not working for him, Plan B and Plan C... Plan D turned out to be one of the happiest days of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way!

  8. Hello beautiful brides and brides to be!! My name is Natalia and I am sooo excited to be (finally posting, after months of lurking) on this site!!! :)  I am a May 2011, Mexico bride and look forward to reading and sharing on the boards!!! :)
