Agree with all the ladies above. I too am a IRHS bride and I am happy I made the decision. I have not even been to the resort but I am confident that I have made the right decision for myself and my guest based primarily on reviews from the wonderful site and tripadvisor.com. I have checked frequently for the past year and the reviews are consistently great! I was initially sold on the 1 wedding per day as my travel agent had told me about other larger chains that offered in excess of 6 weddings per day (aka wedding factory). I was so not interested in that. Good luck on your decision!

Wait, how in the world did I miss the budget brides section. I ordered the Romantic Rendezvous Blend and should get it tomorrow. I will let you know how it turns out! What are you using them for? I only want to line the aisle with them and don't anticipate needed that many.

I went back and forth on this forever and finally decided that I do not want the cheap looking fake flowers they offer @ the resort. I was going to do some fabric to enhance the huppa and then I read on another thread to be careful with that as the colors can reflect off bride/groom and cause issues for pics. At the end of the day, I am going with white the white sheers that are already there. The beach back-drop is beautiful all by itself and after all, that is why we chose a beach wedding.

My photographer is supposed to take us somewhere and I am not sure where. Have you asked your photographer? I'm thinking they should have suggestions.

I already have my dress (actually 3, including a knock-off), but this funny b/c my fiance's family is from Lynchburg and we make frequent trips! Great tip!

Hay ladies. I am thining of putting down rose petals on the aisle and possible the reception tables. Does anyone know if freeze dried petals present an issue with going through customs? I am wondering where I can get them and perhaps not TaiFlora as I think the are overpriced for everything!

This doesn't sound good. Based on the first hand reviews from the BDW brides, I would have to say, we shouldn't let this get to us. At this point, I can't afford the negative vibes. I am traveling with a great group, little details and marrying my love. Nicole or anyone else can't stop this from being a great trip! We all agree communication and some attention to detail needs some help, but all we can do is hope for the best! Let's stay positive ladies!!!!

I love the colors! Its a lovely STD! I chose to still send out invites and RSVP's. People DO NOT send back RSVP's like they should. I wouldn't necessarily spend the money on paper RSVPs but I would consider creating an online RSVP. BTW, what part of MD do you live in?

I need to know this too! I am wearing sandals for reception but I do not want to wear them through the sand!

Ladies, Does anyone know what the cake options are @ the Suites? They have listed chocholate, vanilla, fruit and cheesecake. They mention "other options available upon request." Has anyone had anything other than these? How were the cakes you had?

Tina, I made it a point to not get overly caught up in extras. The reason we chose a DW is to get away from being overwhelmed. Not that I wasn't tempted at times, but I think we are doing well so far. My group is about half the size of yours as well so that does make a difference.
