  1. Ladies, my wedding is past but I have a friend looking for a linen dress to possbily have made. Any suggestions on who/where to find one???
  2. THE CUPS ARE SOLD! Just as an FYI: I did place clear heavy-duty labels with out monograms on the cups. They held up nicely and gave guest the choice to remove afterwards if they didn't want a cup with our names!
  3. I did it and it was a lot of fun. Afterwards I was glad I did it but I will say that the photos are "must have's". Again, it was fun!
  4. Hey Iberostar brides. Just posted a classified for my extra travel mugs. Priority goes to my Iberostar Brides! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/74281/16-oz-stainless-steel-travel-mugs
  5. Purchased from discountmugs.com http://www.discountmugs.com/nc/travel-mugs/99/16oz-sporty-stainless-steel-travel-mugs.htm I have 25 mugs left over and would like to sell them for $2 plus the cost of shipping. There is nothing printed on the mugs. They were a hit with my group!
  6. I recommend Marica Roberts. She is reasonable and a joy to work with!
  7. I didn't have any single males. I included two of everything in the couples bags and purchased monogrammed handkerchiefs for the guys.
  8. Yes, for OOT bags, say buy extra and you will have your grounds covered. I still have stuff left and am slowing but surely giving out to family who couldn't make it or about to sell my extra mugs. Not sure about putting the "warning" on the site. 1) the bag isn't a good bargaining tool when compared to a $1,000+ trip and 2) they are at least contemplating coming for you and it would be rude to not have then something even if they came last minute. Let's face it...people are bad at RSVPing. Although its your wedding, you have to keep in mind that you and your fiance are hosts as well. I was anxious to get my bags out of the way as well but it all worked out in the end.
  9. Hubby and I honestly thought Calabash was the best place to eat. The buffet is pretty hard to beat. If I had to rate it would be: 1. Calabash 2. Buffet 3. Aunt Ruby's 4. Mediterranean I didn't make it to the Mexican so I can speak on that.
  10. No charge. It was just set up when we got there. I didn't even have anyone check before. I walked in while my guests were seated (we were taking pics) and thought it was fine.
  11. Well basically they covered some chairs that I assume were the same as the ones used for the ceremony. I didn't bring any decor. Calabash is nice and neutral to me. I had some rose petals on the tables and also the centerpieces I purchased from Tai Flora. As far as space, I would say there is plenty of space. Again, I didn't have a private. Our semi-private DID NOT allow for dancing but if you have the whole place, I think you would be fine. Thanks for the compliment. Rashel is the bomb.com! Love her!
  12. I did mone @ the resort (Iberostar). We did it @ like 7 am and there were no people @ beach and pool area. Worked out well.
  13. They used chairs without handles, I think similar to what they use @ ceremony for our dinner, with covers. Worked out well to me.
  14. Our rooms were already paid in full through our agent before we arrived. The only thing on my invoice for check-out was the wedding fees and they were exactly what Nicole and I had discussed before the wedding.
  15. I paid with credit card upon check-out! well actually a few days after transferring to the Grand! Not sure abotu DJ since I didn't use it. I traveled with cash for photographer, make-up and tips. Everything else went on CCard.
  16. I love the side action on several of the pics you attached even without the cornrows/two-strand twists on the side. I think they would all look nice with a flower or feather piece.
  17. Oh and check the thread on here called Chocolate Brides. Good ideas and helpful ladies!
  18. I love the Jill Scott doo! Although she has hair added in so keep that in mind.
  19. Kecia (prettysparklie), I just told my husband I needed to check on you! I am glad to hear you are calm and excited. I wish you, soon-to-be hubby and all your guests a great trip! can't wait to hear when you get back and I will be thinking of you all! Safe travels!
  20. STD's went out a full year before the wedding and the invites went out 4 months in advance. Good luck with all your DIY projects!
  21. The following sites are great for online deals in your specific area: www.groupon.com www.livingsocial.com www.tippr.com www.trubates.com They send emails each day. I get good deals all the time for stuff I rarely "need"!
