D14me, I think they did a pretty good job. I think it will look great once on! The train doesnt look too short in my opinion. Â Question: Did you just send them the pic of the dress you wanted with description of any changes you wanted. I have my eye on a dress but need a minor adjustment to it and I was wondering it they would be the route for me. Â Thank you!

Have you had a chance to search the forum and view the reviews of prior IRHS brides. You should be able to find the answers to quite a few of your questions. It has been mentioned that Nicole responds more a month or so prior to your wedding and that she is a wonderful person to deal with once that time rolls around. Â I am not visiting before my wedding either but I am confident in the ratings I have found on this site and on the web. The resort is rated well...excellent actually. Â

The hardest part for me is the WAITING and not knowing. The wedding isn't util May 2011. STDs went out in May 2010. I get calls and people say they will be there but we do not have firm numbers. Formal invites go out in Jan I think and I will still have to wait gor RSVP. All I want to do is know so I can get everything done with. Â We invited a total of 50 something people. I anticipate maybe 25. I am perfectly okay with that. We wanted less people and that is why we decided on a destination wedding. I don't care if only 10 show up...I just want to have the OOT bags done already!

Rebecca (Allurements by Rebecca) is an absolute joy to work with (and she responded to me on a weekend) LOL! No really, I really enjoy working with her! Â The Stylish Scribe sent me some nice samples as well. Â

I have not had my shoot yet (scheduled 9/19) but I am going with Mamaratzy Photography. I went to high school with the photographer and she is branching out. You may view her boudoir site: red.mamaratzy.com. Â I will get back to you all on how my shoot turns out.

Vendors are busy and its not unreasonable to think they may actually take weekends off. I would not take it personal that she was not able to respond, instead take it as though she may not be able to handle your rigid timeline. I respect the talent of the vendors I've previewed here very much and am amazed at what I see. Even if it took a while longer, I realize I am not capable of doing what they do and therefore must wait if I really want their products. There are a ton of brides beating their door down daily! I'm sure you will find someone to help out. And perhaps you can mail your mom the samples for her viewing as well. Good luck!

My wedding is in May 2011 and I already booked so I am not sure why you can't see yours 5 months out. Where are you traveling to?

We are not having a wedding party and I am oh-so happy! My FI was in two weddings last summer and vowed that he would never do that to his friends! Tee hee! Of course I don't mind and we are moving forward. We did have a little cousin ask if she could be the flower girl and I said sure! She's 6! Her mom later informed me that she would not be attending!

My ceremony is set for 5:30 pm so I am not sure about that one.

I am arriving @ IRHS on the 16th and my ceremony is on the 19th! I feel you on the dress thing. I picked & PURCHASED a simple gown b/c I wanted to get it over with and my mom loved it. It doesnt help to be online everyday and seeing other dresses so I started 2nd guessing it and now have found another dress that I like. I feel like I cant reall do much more planning for the wedding since I will not have any idea on the # of guests until Jan/Feb time frame so I just keep going in circles over the dress. Ohwell....

I was wondering the same thing. Very interested to see how its done. My photographer says she makes them for me but for all I know she does it online as well. IDK.

Check in your area for local consignment shops. They have better luck with selling than individuals do.

Thanks to EVERYONE for the feedback. I finally went to try #1 on with my mom and she wasn't wow'ed initially. Then I tried on #2 and although I already knew she would like it better....she agreed and said that my face wasn't as happy in #2. So she said I should go with #1. 2 weeks later and now I am thinking about the train in the sand. I could just get it bustled, but IDK. I am driving my mom crazy with going back and forth on this whole dress thing. Why must I be so indecisive?????
