I'm back with pictures of my dress post wedding!!! I think it was strapped too tightly in the back...but eh well! I loved this dress and can't wait to TRASH it!! Dress by: Mori Lee Blu

This is absolutely ridiculous! I'm so happy that I was able to use Del Sol to photograph my wedding and didn't have to go through these problems. In all honesty, when I had my sit down with Yamina and informed her that we would be using Del Sol to photograph our wedding, she had a sour look in her eyes. I'm not sure what the outlying issue is between Del Sol and EPM, but I don't think EPM or any Excellence properties should be able to tell you that you aren't allowed to use a certain photographer for the most important day of your life. These will be YOUR memories, NOT there's. Honestly, if I had ran into this issue, I would have dropped EPM and found another location before I dropped Del Sol. Del Sol was nothing but professional and my photo's will be the only thing that I can carry away with me from that special day. I couldn't have imagined using another photographer for this day. I hope everything works out for you ladies!

Thanks!! I did my own makeup...and with my hair, I curled it with a curling wand myself, and then I had the hair stylist at the spa pin it all up for me and add the flower as a finishing touch. Unfortunately, my hair flower broke off at the stem right after the ceremony because the hair pin clipped away at it. Yes, my bouquet flowers were apart of the package. I can't remember the exact # of the bouquet that I went with, but I had them add in some coral roses to match the bridesmaids bouquets. If you've received a list of bouquet selections, these were the ones that were pictured inside a basket. Hope that helps!

The last I checked which was a few weeks ago: Day Passes for EPM $150 9 a.m.-5 p.m. $100 5 p.m.-9:00 a.m. I got that quote from the customer service line. Hope that helps!!

I'm having a hard time coming to grips that it's over also. I think for us destination brides, it's a double knock down because not only is our wedding over, the beautiful vacation is over as well. So it gives you 2 reasons to feel heart broken! But each day that goes by, it gets easier and easier to come to realization. Now I'm looking forward to planning our honeymoon within the next few months. We went for a wedding/honeymoon all in one with our wedding, but honestly, we didn't get too much of a chance to relax and just enjoy each other when we had family and friends swarming the resort. Anyways, I'm taking it one day at a time...hoping to get out of my "wedding blue's" soon... I do however have my Del Sol photo's to look forward to in about 2 months! Whooo hoooo!!!!

I went with a simple updo with some beachy curls! It didn't come out exactly how I wanted it to, but I liked it. Here are some pics! The flower really added something special...but it broke off right after the ceremony This is how I wore it the night before to the rehearsal dinner...I should have gone with this style for the wedding

Had a quick moment to check in! I'm still at EPM today and just had my wedding yesterday! I'll provide a detailed review soon but I just wanted to say it was amazing! yamina is amazing and del sol photography was WONDERFUL!! more to follow ..off to have some fun in the sun!

Altered from a size 12 down to a size 2!!!!! I love the final product! I was extremely worried that it would be too significant of an alteration and that the final product would look weird...but it looks perfect! It looks as if it were always a size 2!! (In the photo's, it's a bit loose at the top...I didn't have it strapped tightly. I was just trying it to see if my heels were too low for my dress...so it was a quick on and off) But when it's strapped tightly, it's barely breathable!!...just how I like it!

Omg! I am SO glad I read this!! My wedding is on May 20th and I haven't recieved ANY communication from Yamina on flowers, cakes and menu's. I just gave her a call and she apologized for not sending me this information before and said she'd send it right over. Omg, she has no idea how antsy she has me now. Now I'm wondering if she "forgot" to send me anything else. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will be a smooth process. Oh lordy.

My date is quickly approaching!!! Friday May 20th @ 5:00 p.m. We are arriving at the resort on May 17th. I have yet to have a phone conversation with Yamina, but I plan to give her a call in the next few weeks to confirm everything up. Our only communication thus far has been via email, but I've gotten a lot of information from her, so not speaking to her on the phone hasn't been a big issue for me. So far, we have 18 guest booked and I think that's how it'll remain. I have 2 BM's and 1 MOH and my fiance has 2 GM and 1 BM I go for my final dress fitting today! 2 down, 1 to go on my bridal party dress fittings! Hopefully we'll all have our dresses in hand by next week! The guys ordered really nice linen suits from J Crew. They look amazing and are really appropriate for a destination wedding. We're still waiting on a few of their pieces to come in. I'm going shopping together for a wedding dress garment bag. I really don't want to pack my dress into a carry on suitcase, so hopefully I won't run into an issue with just carrying it on in the garment bag. Hopefully they can hang it in the captains closet! *crossing fingers* Bridal party Shoes-check! Grooms party shoes-NO check. Ugh (they're thinking about wearing flip flops. I'll be doing my own hair and make-up (I think I'm pretty good at it) I hope to get fresh flowers for my hair and for my bridal parties hair...if not, I have some flowers that I ordered on hand. Not sure about the menu yet. Yamina sent me the menu and told me to choose my selections, but hopefully we'll be able to have a tasting before we have to make our final decision. We are bringing our own music for the ceremony and renting the sound system from the resort. $500 seems pretty steep to rent the equip, but we're not left with much of a choice. DEL SOL is my photographer and I AM SOOOOOOO HAPPY about our choice!!! I know our photo's will come out AMAZING!!!!! Sol is our main photographer and we'll have oen additional. We arranged shuttle service through Cancun Transfers and got a REALLY good rate round trip for our group!!! Most of the guest arrive on Thursday 5/19 with a few people coming in on Tuesday and Wednesday to extend their vacation. We are having a welcoming dinner on Thursday evening! Really excited about that! I will be arranging massages and mani/pedi appointments for the morning of the wedding for my bridal party. My best friend is singing at the ceremony which I know will have me extremely choked up. My Bridal shower is also coming up on May 1st!!! Yippee!!! That's all for now folks!! The countdown is ON!!!!
