  1. I'm an April Fools bride =) Getting married at the RIU Ocho Rios at 11am. So excited! All of this was decided about 2 weeks ago so I am super late with STD and such, lol but working on getting the out ASAP. Most people that know have been pretty positive and surprisingly interested.
  2. Thank You ladies! I am so addicted to this site.
  3. I love the starfish theme! Don't know if I want the whole theme to be starfish but definitely incorporating some starfish. Already have my bouquet jewelry and I want some starfish with raffia for the chairs.
  4. I love it! I also have the same color combo. Everyone thinks I am crazy when i say blue/orange.
  5. I haven't been wed there yet (April 2011) but I do know they don't do Catholic ceremonies per the information packet I got after I reserved my date. I think you need to be in a Church to have a Catholic ceremony.
  6. Congrats! I love your flowers, that's the same arrangement I would like but I am gonna try the clay flowers from an etsy seller.
  7. I will take it if you still have them...what would shipping costs to 19120 be?
  8. I love both the fingerprint tree (actually thinking about getting fingerprint rings so that would tie in). I also like the white/chalk board idea, would give my 5 year old (6 at the wedding) daughter something to do and a bonus since she loves to take pictures.
  9. Sorry to hear your day didn't go as planned. I would send the letter to any higher ups emails you can get and possibly snail mail them as well (if it's not too costly). You made a very lovely bride though!
  10. I have been to Jamaica before outside of the touristy parts since I have family there and have always felt safe. Then again it has been awhile since I was last there for my grandfather's funeral in 2000 and things have changed a lot since then but if I were to visit any of my family members I still would feel safe. I would imagine the parts that you would be traveling outside of the hotel are not of any danger. I know the recent problems with the drug lord were in Kingston and they have since captured and extradited him.The country itself is not very bad and the people are very welcoming and of a loving nature.I would imagine that wherever the wedding coordinator sets up for your wedding location and reception will be safe for you and your guests. So far the reviews of the wedding coordinators from the brides here have all been very positive experiences so I don't think you should worry.
  11. I am doing orange / aqua...I love that color scheme...
  12. I am excited! Bride & Groom: Jon'el and Carlito Location: RIU Ocho Rios Date: April 1, 2011 I originally wanted April 23, 2011 at RIU Ocho Rios cause my daughter would be off from Easter Break...but they don't have that date or anything close too it...so I chose April 1, 2011. Hopefully all goes well with my second date. Sort of last minute wedding planning. I feel like I am so behind.
  13. Hi, My name is Jon'el. I have a potential wedding date. Kind of working backwards because I am not really engaged yet but we have decided on destination wedding in Jamaica (where my family is from). Sometime in April 2011.
