  1. I want a flower but my hair is short and fiance would be pissed if I got extensions or weave so I am going to have it curly I guess. Who knows...but my big head definitely doesn't need a flower in it...lol. Pretty choices though ladies.
  2. @ vacationsrthebest : Love the ring...very beautiful!
  3. I love how they turned out! I understand the adding more info part. I am now doing STD to buy time for my invitation which I am also DIY but I like doing this stuff so far.
  4. I loved the blue starfish bouquet jewelry I ordered for 50% off until my daughter broke it the next day trying to be sneaky. Luckily, my mom is gonna buy me another one after she saw how upset I was.
  5. I am debating if I am doing an AHR but I would probably invite everyone who came to the wedding as well. I wouldn't want to exclude them as well. I would probably have it at my house though to cut down a venue cost.
  6. Wow they are beautiful! I love them. I am DIY my invitations but I would definitely pay that much to have the convenience of not doing myself, lol.
  7. I haven't been to one. My cousin got married last year and my brother and mom went. They raved about it so that made me want one. I am excited because I think most people I am inviting have never been to one.
  8. I would probably bring 3-4 (two being for the wedding alone)...but I am not a shoe person. My fiance would insist I bring more but I prefer to wear the same shoe all the time.
  9. I personally wouldn't go for it but I have seen some pictures and they look nice. It's your (and his) wedding. Do what makes you both comfortable. I decided I wanted an all white wedding (with pops of turquoise and orange) and my mom looked at me as if I were crazy or something. But in the end all that matters is what my fiance and myself decide to do.
  10. I wouldn't feel obligated to invite her just because she is my FMIL. I am on ok terms with my FMIL but she is certifiably nuts. For example, one day she is ok with me, then 20 minutes later she is saying four letter words. I know this and part of the reason I did a DW was so she wouldn't be able to make it. I honestly believe if she was at my wedding she would ruin it. I don't if on purpose or not but I don't want our special day to be ruined by a person who was never a real mother to her son. My fiance is fine with it all since he knows how his "mother" is. A couple of years ago at his cousins wedding, she was so drunk she started to lick the ice sculpture.
  11. The is so cute! I hate these forums (not really) since each time I want to add my things to my ceremony. Definitely thinking about this idea. Depending on the final amount I may get flip flops as well but very cute idea. Â
  12. lol, all theses color options looks so beautiful...still going with white, turquoise, orange but orange and pink is tempting
  13. Although it won't make up for your wedding day dilemma, glad to hear you have been compensated! Enjoy your trip to Costa Rica!
  14. after seeing pictures...I am thinking a white wedding (guests included), lol with pops of turquoise and orange...FI is sort of against it but if I can get the vision across, he should be fine...
  15. Congrats on a date! I am actually a Jamaica bride but this site has been so helpful and resourceful so far for me I am sure you will get a lot more out of it as well.
  16. I am doing two photo charms on my bouquet and my fiance's boutonnière. His father just died about 2 months ago but he was never close to him. Instead, we are including my father's picture who died in Feb 2009 who died from a car accident. The lady went to diabetic shock and hit him while he was at work. He wasn't in a car so he had no protection at all. My dad was the nicest guy and had such a tragic ending to his life. I was so mad and probably still am he can't be there to walk me down the aisle.  The second will be for our son Noah who I delivered on 7/12/2010 who was a stillborn at 31 weeks. We took some pictures and hope to have the professional ones tomorrow. I was at a loss at how to include both of them in my ceremony. I may have not known Noah outside the womb but he was very loved and wanted and it makes it hard to plan the wedding knowing he isn't here like in our original plans to wed in 2012 instead of next April.  I am going to have either my uncle or godfather walk me down the aisle. I would like to incorporate something else in the actual ceremony but I do not what yet.
  17. Wow, sometime type of friend she is and glad to hear your other friend has your back and is more understanding...it's really funny how you find out who are really there for you and not through this whole proccess
