  1. I went to David's Bridal for the second time yesterday and I found my dress! I haven't been to any other stores but I am set on the dress but it's sort out of my price range but I am getting anyway. I will cut and save elsewhere. I already found my TTD for $20 and it needs some alterations. Â The first time I went with my grandmom and mom who was looking for a dress to wear on a cruise and I tried on a dress I liked from the website. It was ok and I didn't really care for the petticoat. Then yesterday I went with my daughter (she's 6), mom, grandmom, and sister-in-law. Â They loved the first dress I tried on a halter with beading on the straps and very simple light dress. It looked great on but wasn't specifically the one. I tried on a bunch of other ones including the one I tried on before without petticoat. Then another sales lady asked me to describe my dress and she brought it out. I absolutely love the dress. I look Ah-mazing in it and it just makes me feel very special. I also made sure my hair was done before my appointment so it made a million times more better. I didn't purchase my dress, I am going back tomorrow and I am going to take pictures and probably purchase it. Â I also am getting the matching dress for my daughter. She looks cute in it. It's obviously not elaborate as mine but the ruffles are the same but hers has straps were as mine is a sweetheart.
  2. just set up an account at a site like shutterfly and just share the name/password with everyone. Maybe have everyone create there own folder with the photos they took if you want to know who took them?
  3. That's the same photo shoot that inspired me. The bridal party have pops of orange and turquoise to stand out though. I love the whole concept and my mom looks at me like I am crazy. I am putting it on my website and will include a dress code in my invites. Hopefully, people will get it and I am sure they will call if they don't. They thought might take the attention off me. After showing them the slideshow they understood and thought it was a great idea.  It really helped that I showed them some photos of past “All White Weddings†I don’t think they could envision it when I first told them. Also I needed to explain to everyone that the men could wear Khaki Pants, and it was ok if the clothing had some tan or silver accents.  When I first hear the idea I had concerns as well but I am so glad I made the decision to do it.
  4. I have no personal experience but a bride on here said they were not heavy at all. She carried them in a duffle bag to T&C for her wedding. Â Here is another member's planning thread with pics of her bouquet at post #8 http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/53999/meag-tuck-s-future-mrs2010-super-long-planning-thread-pic-heavy#post_1135727 Â Here is her review of the traveling with the flowers http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/59597/silk-vs-clay-flowers-which-is-better#post_1309673 Â There are many etsy sellers with clay flowers. DKDesigns are awesome but out of my price range and I really like FentonFlorals which is more affordable but her work as you can seen in Meagan's post are gorgeous as well.
  5. I love the second one! I feel the same way, my colors are turquoise and orange. I am going with orange/white clay flowers but I really love these clay flowers though
  6. Items have arrived! Actually 2 days ago but I picked them up at the post office today. Thanks!
  7. Starfish boutonniere. So cute from easy! New seller name ModernSwankDesigns. Â

Do I create a nice OOT bag (similiar to what you did) for EACH COUPLE??? Or EACH PERSON? Â Honestly, it is up to you and your preference and/or finances how elaborate you want to make the bags. If I had a small amount of people, I would probably do separate bags but realistically, I don't know how many of the guys would want the actual bag itself. If I had a large amount of people, I would probably make one bag with double the amount for couples. HTH. Â
  9. I always love the orange and turquoise combo and new they would be my colors. I painted my third bedroom for my son since they are gender neutral colors but he is no longer here so for the next baby I don't have to change anything.
  10. They look great! I am going barefoot and wearing shoes (not sure about heels) for the reception
  11. I say buy in bulk now just in case. Worst case scenario you have to sell it somewhere. Certain items should be easily sellable though. Â Thanks for the heads up!
  12. I will be his gift...probably BD photos if I am courageous enough to do them! I know he would love them, he loves me unconditionally though!
  13. those cakes look amazing! I like the blue/orange/white one...goes with my colors and starfish theme =)
