Congratulations!! You're the second person to say how the beach wedding is way more private than the gazebo...is the gazebo not a good option at all (are there really a whole lot of people around)l? I'm asking because even though our wedding is in January, our initial preference was for the gazebo. But after reading the comments, now I'm a little concerned...

After reading the post yesterday, I decided to reach out to my TA last night to see where we are on numbers. We sent out our Save the Dates in late March and as far as I knew, we had around 5 people plus by FI and I booked. Well, I was off by a few, TA responds there are 16 people booked plus by FI and I! I'm excited!!

Hey, I think concerning who manages/plays music, it was probably wayyyy back in the thread where someone mentioned that Cecilia or someone from the wedding team handled that. I think assigning a person is fine as well but I believe you don't have to. That's a good question, though, since we are using an ipod as well.

I've had the same question concerning a shower. I've read on another thread where the invites were sent out for the at home reception about 2-3 months prior to wedding, and the shower was planned right after those invites were sent out so people from the wedding and home reception could be invited to the shower. That obviously is different for your case but it's a lot to think about overall...

Hey Shay! We actually booked our rooms but decided to wait to purchase flights. Our wedding is in January and when we booked rooms in early March, flights were around $500. Now they're around $275 so we're going to go ahead now to book flights. We just told our guest what airport to fly into and they can book flights on their own.

Hello and Welcome! I hope your planning process is very smooth! Concerning the TA, like Sharon mentioned, flight rates for February should be out by now. Either way, don't worry and by all means, don't feel bad about needing to work with another TA. You want to be comfortable with whomever you're working with. For me personally, I started with one TA (I only worked with her for a week) but moved to another because the response time was lagging. My current TA responds very quickly and that makes me feel comfortable. Concerning Gran Caribe Real, have you had a chance to search to see if there are threads on the resort?

Hey There! Well my planning has been slow. We sent off our save the dates at the end of March and did a follow up mass email to everyone last week to visit our website for updates, etc. Other than that, most of the details of our wedding are pretty much planned outside of a few minor things (but we have time for that). I find myself trying to find things to do as far as planning goes (as if I don't have enough on my plate with everything else)!! LOL I guess an exciting part is that I'm getting my dress measurements within the next two weeks and will be officially ordering my dress! How are things coming along for you?

After reading this thread all the way through I finally decided to go with Monica Bridal for my dress. I am a little nervous (excited too) but I have chatted with them and emailed back and forth. They've been very easy to work with. We'll see what happens!!! Thanks Bonnie for all of your advice. I am going to get professionally measured for this...definitely!!
