    Thanks JaimeLe318! I can't wait till my first try on appointment when my dress comes in. That'll be in December. If you really want a dress with ruffles and can't find one in your area, maybe you can consider coming to NYC (not sure how far it is from where you are) for a day and visiting a few bridal shops.

    Congrats! I vacationed here back in 2006 with my now fiance and had an amazing time. Paradise island is beautiful and the RIU provided great service. I considered having my wedding there especially because of the Cloisters (try and take pictures there on your wedding day-it's breathtaking), but had to reconsider because many family members live in Dominican Republic and would need visas to travel to the bahamas. Anyway, you made a wonderful choice. The people, RIU hotel, and beach is amazing in paradise island.

    I found my dress! I visited a 4th store. I was not expecting at all to find my dress there and was debating between two Maggie Sottero gowns. I ended up getting an Allure gown L301 and I really love the way it looks on me. So to answer your question, it took visiting 4 stores and trying on about 25 dresses to find the one.

    I've been to 3 different stores and tried on at least 20 dresses. I have one more store I want to visit before I make my final decision. I'm deciding between two Maggie Sottero dresses.

    I went with weddingwire.com. I especially love the guest tool because it keeps me organized. I was also able to put different songs on my page.
