    Congrats FutureMrsBeatty! I've just started my research and haven't found out much but here is what I've got. We have a couple of kids coming and the Excellence doesn't allow children. I've heard good things about the Majestic Elegance as a resort (very clean), and more good than bad for weddings. From what I can gather it just depends on which WC you get. This may seem silly but does anyone know which resorts have an infinity pool? My FI is making that one of his 'requirements' haha *rolling eyes! Boys, what can you do?

    I haven't picked a resort yet but have heard good things about the Elegance. So it is now on my short list. Wow what a great idea sharing a photographer is! So glad I found this site.

    YAY! and congrats! I also am a 2011 bride. But we are thinking later in the year, november or december. Punta Canan seems to be where we are leaning towards too. I'm hoping for prices about $1500 or less and a family freindly resort as there will most likely be 2 or 3 kids around 12 yrs.

    Thanks! Yes my FI has 2 younger siblings (18 years younger!) that will be coming so we have to find a family friendly AI. I will definatily check out the Dominican Republic forums.

    hello i'm new and we just finaly made the decision to do a destination wedding. yay! we are planning on going to the dominican republic, punta cana. if anyone has any suggestions of good resorts i would love to here about them or any general tips. our wedding date is yet to be decided but will be late novembe/ early december 2011.
