I'm posting this here as well... Hey everyone! I'm in the process of planning my destination wedding and am having trouble choosing a resort! Originally we wanted to book at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall for our wedding... however, I'm not too sure anymore because of the wedding cost...not so much the actual resort cost! My big concerns for a wedding are A. Destination Wedding B. Wedding Dress C. Amazing pictures *preferably from a professional photographer*! But now that I'm really looking into everything I'm starting to wonder if this is the right resort for our DW! Any other "elopers" out there that had the same issue? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

Hello too all my fellow Iberostar Rose Hall brides! I'm not sure if I've posted this, but we originally booked our wedding for IGRH because it was just going to be the 2 of us.. no guests! However, family and friends soon came to us wanting to go as well as his 8 year old son! Since we booked our resort, I quickly messaged the coordinator about this! She said I could either A) Have a private reception at IGRH and his son would still be able to come, or have the reception at IRHS and of course he would be able to go with that! my question to you guys... what is the the price of private receptions at IRHB and IRHS?? could you guys give me the prices? and how far is it from IGRH and the other resorts? walking distance? i'm just full of questions since we've had to switch things up lol Thanks everyone!!! Hey ladies! My fiance just threw at me a new challenge for the wedding! We have our wedding date set for August 19 2011 at IGRH, and we originally got this resort because we were going down alone! Since then, we've had several family members and friends say they would love to go if we invited people! So we figured we would! I asked my fiance if he wanted to switch resorts so his son could go, but said no since his parents wouldn't be going! However, now he wants him to go so has asked his parents if they would go so they could take his son! They said yes! So I've emailed the IGRH about what I should do! They suggested that I could still have the wedding at the IGRH and he can come to the wedding, and if we wanted a dinner afterwards, we could switch over to the suites or have a private reception at IGRH! I'm sure having a private reception would be expensive... I thought switching between the 2 resorts would almost be a waste so I emailed IRHS to see if my date was available... and of course it's not ! So now I'm stuck with decisions... Do I switch my date.. do i go ahead with the wedding at IGRH and reception at IRHS.. Would wedding guest still be required to pay the day pass just to come to the wedding?? I'm so confused on what to do! If anyone has been in the same category I am in... please help!! lol

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a certain time they won't go past for weddings? I've read for certain resorts that 4 pm was the latest they would hold weddings.. is that the case at the Iberostars?

Hey Maura... I am getting married at the IGRH on August 19 2011 We first booked for just the 2 of us.. not wanting guests ... however, after a few friends and family insisted they wanted to come, of course we said okay! lol When is your date???

Our main concern was not being in a wedding line up! If we're having a "special" destination wedding.. we wanted it to be special! When we found out Iberostar Grand Rose Hall *and the suites and beach* have the 1 wedding a day, we jumped on it! At first we just wanted it to be the 2 of us... however, we now have friends who say they're wanting to go so now we're inviting people! No children, so the Grand was still the pick for us Also, if the Grand is too expensive for some of our guests, they can opt to stay at the suites or beach and just buy day passes!

Just putting my 2 cents in.. I've never been to a Sandals resort, however my fiance and I went to San Souci last May and it was absolutely stunning!! There are no other words! We ran into several couples at the resort saying they would never go to another Sandals resort again after going to the Couples resorts! But I was having the same trouble deciding where to have the wedding when I came across Iberostar Grand Rose Hall! They only have 1 wedding a day there.. as well as the other Iberostar resorts which are right next door I believe. As soon as we saw that we fell in love with everything else! Hello everyone! I'm very new to the boards, which my fiance and I decided last week that we want to do a destination wedding! I've looked into several places and this is one of the best advice boards I've come across! However, we're definitely interested in having everything at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall and I have found on this board there aren't too many brides having their wedding there! We're not having any guests, just the 2 of us so we're saving a lot of money and we're able to put a little more into everything else! Are brides not choosing IGRH because it's new? It's just a concern of mine because of course I have tons of questions Thanks ahead of time and I'm hoping to get to know all my fellow brides!
